This is really neat, this is more what I expect a game called "Hell Let Loose" to feel like. I think the ambient voices would be best if they were a toggle that server admins can turn on and off depending on the niche of the server.
@JimbletonJames I've been playing this game since the Kickstarter. I play Squadlead almost exclusively and you might hear me scream "medic"!!!!! one day. Outside of audio over dubbing what do you think could be done to make it more immersive? I think what you've done could be accomplished in a single player, which would be epic, but I'm not sure how you accomplish that in a multiplayer environment.
@@Dochart268This type of voice over and immersion changes have been implemented in several mp games before. Ontop of the voicechat in game you could have these ingame voicelines as call outs, or have your guy call out things when pinging enemies. Aside from the voice overs though I actually added alot, mostly from inspiration from Red Orchestra 2. (another mp ww2 game that does this well) This includes headbob while sprinting better breathing/heart beat sounds better supression effects. (flickering and desaturation) more dynamic weapon sway/hand movement blur when firing your weapon etc. It CAN be implemented into HLL and work perfectly fine, voices could be client side etc. As to if they will be? well, thats another story.
The soviet union didnt sign the conventions so they were not subject to the laws of war and they committed worse crimes than the SS or SA. They were more brutish and uneducated too, this comes from first hand accounts of our old people in Hungary..
@@JimbletonJames soviet soldiers could not be taught complex maneuvers and tactics, opposed to the germans. Their suicidal tactics were a combination of near endless supply of military personnel who could be sacrificed without any regret, and what i already mentioned, their bad education. In hungary what soviet soldiers did was they lined up people, shot them, shot the animals, stole them to make food (all of it so the families starved), rayped everyone from ages 4-90, made old people walk around until they collapsed, and basically abused everyone they could. Opposed to that, the german soldiers were described as gentlemen. They passed out chocolates to the children, took photos with and joked with the adults and elderly, went sweethearting to the girls (didnt care if they did not succeed, they didnt raype) and such. Both were occupations but one was sadistic soviet torture, the other was german kindness. And in hollywood, its the other way around..
@@LeRoux027 Plenty of shooters have had voices in them like this; (bf4, day of infamy, ro2, Insurgency, cod etc etc) that just have the voices be client side to your team only. There are many solutions to this and I agree with what your saying. Maybe for enemies it can just be their death noises, and maybe hearing the commanders calling in fire support or something. Either way, its totally doable.
I get the concept and its a cool video but this just aint it. This game is heavily reliant on voice coms, having this in the game would detract from that and even encourage people to just not talk. It would just sound messy with VOIP and NPC voicelines mixed together. I get it, but it just wouldnt be right. This works for games like battlefield and CoD, but not HLL.
Hey y'all, I made a part 2! Go check it out for some more PTSD! ruclips.net/video/DWHnwd_rFVQ/видео.html

This is how I imagine Hell Let Loose anyways while playing. Supa well done video!
@@Amayii Haha if only it was actually like this! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
I've always felt the movement in HLL never felt grounded enough.
100% agreed. Its very floaty, and I think ive figured out its cause there is literally no headbob.
Spectacular!!!
Thanks man! This game could be so good with a few immersion changes.

War is hell!
Hell let loose isn’t 😊
Nice idea! nice sounds, nice voices ambients.
Curious, should I make a part 2?
The german complaining about russian criminal tactics is next level humor
haha glad someone picked up on that

@ Helps explain their near suicidal tactics lmfao.
RO2 had such good voice acting and atmosphere

It looks cool but the last thing i want is my soldier blurting out a voiceline unpromted and giving away my position.

I get both arguments, but for a cinematic this is pretty epic!
Make it client side only and based on proximity to action. Not like T17 is ever gonna do anything remotely like this though.
@@ganonn Agreed, unfortunately.
@@JimbletonJames Great vid btw. I think we could make this game our own if we were allowed to mod and run modded servers.
How can i add that to the game?
You cant unfortunately. Its just me using video editing software to create my ideal version of HLL. Its base game felt way too sterile for me.
@JimbletonJames Oh, i thought it was just like those War thunder mods that change the vocals in the game.
+ Nice editing man.
@@NeemaPolodeous Thanks man! Appreciate it! I wish this was a mod, id use it all the time lol

If you check out part 2 I left the player comms in, and I think it works totally fine.
