Have you seen the original fullmetal alchemist? Because some of FMAB was made assuming the viewer had already seen the previous version, although FMAB follows the manga much more closely, since FMA was made before the manga was finished.
That moment in "Let it All Out" where an excited Ed plunks down pocket change and points, and the boys walk home... Then the hammer drops when you realize that was the purchase before the mistake.

Have you considered making a MAL list for your descriptions so people have an idea of what you've seen before? Seems like it would be helpful for suggestions for new shows, getting an idea of how you rate certain shows, and just generally keeping track of what you want to watch/have watched. Also, FMAB is an incredible series, you should stick with it for sure. Almost a prerequisite as an anime fan!

This show is my second favourite show and the villains in this show are just so well written oh my god, one of the villain(that is in someone else's body) is my second favourite character of the show, first is obviously Colonel mustang, the way he kills a certain villain is just so badassssss, i like him so much 😭❤️

He's right, the second openings is just too good and so hype. It does a great job of really expressing the tone of what Ed and Al's journey feels like as well as the whole show.

Same characters, same thematic. But 2 differents stories. Fullmetal alchemist is a free adaptation because manga no finished. Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the real adaptation. But two version is interresting and very good.

Truly Brotherhood does have great opening but if you want to get into this anime if you haven't already I highly recommend starting with the original series and if you've already watched Brotherhood I highly recommend watching the 2003 version here it is So basically the show I'm recommending you is Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 this show is completely anime original they only adapted some stuff from the manga but they usually switched some of the important events up and also adding new scenes in even new episodes in this is because the Manga wasn't done yet and the author gave them permission to do their own take on it their own story and so they were more focused on making their own story that would last for a full season and in the time it was very popular there was even card games and video games as well But let's get into the story and the story is basically a character study on the main protagonist and him accepting that the world is imperfect and unfair it isn't as black-and-white as he first thought the whole story is way more philosophical and thematic and way more mature the main cast gets a lot of development too even some characters represent and embody the main character's guilt, rage, or a different version of them if they went on a different path on their Journey or remained on the same path t also you took inspiration from real life stuff like the Iraq War and this version of the military having parallels with the Nazis and what they did back in ww2 and 03 even tackled a lot of political and religious specs in a realistic way like the after effects of War, propaganda, religious persecution, the director of the series decided to use the Iraq War because in 2003 that has just begun and wanted to add a little bit more realism and even some of the things some characters do mirror real life stuff that happened in the past which is it a big foreshadowing for the end like I said it's very thematic and philosophical And the end is basically an embodiment of the core messages of the story which are that the world is unfair and imperfect but it's all so beautiful and also represents the main characters growth a literal metaphor of growing up leaving the ignorance you had and going to the real random yet beautiful Adult World and even some characters embody these core messages like the main bad guys but in the end it tells us that even if we work hard in some cases we might not get what we want in return or we will get it but not in the way we expected it but you can't simply give up knowing this the world may be flawed but thats what makes it so beautiful no matter what you believe in life is still worth livingOn top of that the ending is foreshadowed be what the characters believe in and the vehicles they ride in which are things we use to use in history and what the characters believe is exactly what we believe like ghost and aliens but that's just a little bit of foreshadowing that's what i think atleast and also some of the automail kind of does resemble a little bit of 1918 cyberpunk stuff so that's a little bit of foreshadowing as well at least to my knowledge It is a story that repeats
A story where a bunch of characters witness horrors and tragedy with their own eyes but still tries to stand up again. It's a story of will a story of moving forward if only just a little even if it's not connected to the manga it's a great ride from start to finish and a great original story sure there are a little bit of flaws like the 4th episode and something that comes later down the line but I'm not going to spoil it overall everything is amazing, greatly hidden foreshadowing, etc I'm so sorry for making a Bible verse
Don't disagree with the Brotherhood elitist 2003's amazing and both versions are actually an amazing watch from start to finish sure they're very different but both are amazing so you can have a more Full Experience on Fullmetal Alchemist it doesn't matter which order you would like to watch them in my opinion I think you should have watched the first version then Brotherhood because 2003 also has a stronger start but that's just my opinion either way I hope you have fun again I'm sorry for the Bible verse
