- Welcome to the Little Stinker Radio Hour, the world's first podcast.
It's Valentine's Day! In honor of this pseudo-holiday created by large corporations to sell flowers, Amanda and I sat down to discuss how we met, how we coped with a year and a half of long distance, and tried to provide some optimism for anyone out there in a situation similar to ours. There is hope!

Amanda helped me in photography class at polytechnic. Drew is a hilarious human being. Great couple.
I met my girlfriend online when I was 13, and her mother was a huge obstacle, (for obvious reasons, she was only 13 "dating" an internet stranger) but we've talked every day for the last 6 years. I'm 19 now and tomorrow I'm heading out to finally go see her. Wish me luck!

I've always wanted someone to finally make a podcast, and it looks like you've done it! Glad someone finally cashed in on this format.
I know this is an old video and no ones gonna see this but i just wanted to say that this video made me realize how good itll be when me and my fiance's long distance will be over and we can finally live together. We met in middle school and were friends for 3 years until we started dating our sophmore year of high school. After high school though, I started going to college in florida. It's been definitely the hardest years of our lives, but im now a senior in college and going to be graduating next year and we can finally move in together after I get a job out of college (hopefully). Although when I'm home for the summer and winter break, we'd still both be very busy during those times, and could only see each other some weekends or a couple hours after work. It's been incredible hard, especially with coronavirus and being home for longer than i have in years but still not being able to see him because of quarantining. We've been dating for 5 years, and I just can't wait to live with him and really get my life going and feel happy everyday knowing he's with me and that we got through it.

in case it might gives people in long distance relationship a little hope: after a five months relation, my girlfriend went on a student exchange program for 6 months on another continent. It wasn't easy. And now, 19 years, a house and 2 kids later, I'd say it was worth it. Glad you guys made it too!

I met my husband at his graduation party right before he went to college. So around 5 years of long distance :) which didn't have an end in sight in the begining but he became my best friend and spending time on the phone and Skype just made my day better. I think it's definitely possible to make it work when you're young but you have to be very invested and focuses and understanding.

I know now that she does photography now and someone in the comments referenced that they knew her from photography class, and Amanda said she was editing a video for class, so I’m assuming something to do with that stuff.
My boyfriend lives across town and neither of us have cars, and with the pandemic, it truly feels like a short distance long distance relationship
I had no idea about this channel until I saw the 'Wired Autocomplete Interview' video just. I only discovered you main channel a about a month ago now and have been catching up on the older videos since then (As a Brit I really appreciate your sarcastic sense of humour). I knew that you'd both meet on Vine (after you mentioned it in one of the videos) but I always assumed that you were both creators on there though. So, it was nice to find out more about how you both actually met. The chemistry you have really shines through in this video, as well as the other ones you do together on the main channel.
As for the topic of long distance relationships, I have some experience with them too. I dated someone for 4 years. We met in 6th form (Junior and Senior year for US) and then continued to when we went to University (what you call college I think). I was in the year above her, so I went off to Uni, but came back every weekend to see her and we got through that period. Then when it came to her going to Uni the year after that when things started to become strained... I would go down and see her at her Uni probably once a month, but it got to the point where she started acting funny around me when I would come down and we'd end up arguing.
Looking back at it now I should have noticed that she was drifting away from me and didn't seem as committed to the relationship anymore, but you don't always notice those kind of things when you're in the middle of it. This continued for a while, but we still saw each other quite regularly and even went on holiday for her birthday along with some of her friends, but the arguing got more frequent. Again looking back at it now I feel like she was trying to push me away because she couldn't, or didn't know how to end it. We eventually broke up whilst I was in my final year of Uni. It hit me pretty hard, as at the time I didn't see it coming at all. So, when it comes to long distance relationships, as with all relationships, communication is key... Even more so though in long distance relationships, as that is pretty much all you have the majority of the time when you aren't physically together.

Just finished watching the rest of the video. If you every decide to bring this podcast back you should definitely rename it to 'Love & Burritos'.
from my experience, long distance was really good because it forced us to talk to each other and get to know each other before getting physical. in my past, the physical aspect usually came about so quickly and progressed so much faster than the emotional part that my relationships just never really took off emotionally. it just kinda stayed at the peak of physical for a while and then ended. with long distance keeping the physical aspects at bay, we became best friends before we could even touch each other and I think that really helped strengthen our bond as partners

My boyfriend and I have been long distance for 2.5 out of the 3 years of our relationship. We met in high school and separated to go to colleges in different states. We're both in doctorate 6-year programs so were in for a long ride. Luckily we are able to see each other about once every 1 or 2 months and we get summers together. There is such a negative connotation with long distance so it's nice to see it put into a positive light

Just the difference in attitude and expressions between the segments of talking about the long distance and the living together is crazy. You guys looked so unhappy when talking about the being away from each other segment and I was like "Are they not happy together right now?" Then you guys started the segment about what it was like when you guys are physically together and the light in both of your faces were so lit up and it was beautiful.
