Loved this video. As someone who was born and lived only in Sydney for my entire life and having visited 41 countries so far, Sydney is still my favourite city!
Technically and physically, Australia is in the Eastern and Southern Hemispheres. But culturally we have been a Western Hemisphere country, geopolitically, until about 35 years ago. Now we are a blend of Eastern and Western. We have many residents and students from nearby South East Asia, and our education system has been the standard for East Asian international students for several decades. This is where many come to study in English, and they become accustomed to living in a Western society. Also, many Aussies study Asian languages and/or vacation in nearby Asian countries, like Bali in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
I live in rural Australia and have an entirely different view of the country to you.We have developed our farming techniques to suit the environment. Our farms are nothing like those in Europe.
Hi welcome to Sydney. I have been living here for the past 30 years, well since I was born here. Sydney has changed so much in the last few years. It now hosts the best culinary from all the top restaurants around the world, it gets rid of motorway in favour of pedestrian. On the flip side it still has homelessness on the street sadly due to cost of living, though the city maintain the cleanliness as best as they can.
Yay! Your in my country I’m born Filipina but grew up in Sydney Australia been here since 1989. But now I live in Gold Coast QLD Australia. You came in the right weather. And where I live is where the theme parks, if the kids like to go on roller coaster. If you do come this way. Make sure to check out back spectacular. There’s so many to do in Australia and most taxi are meter and the Uber here is good. You tend to use your bank card rather than cash and tipping is not mandatory. We’re all had a giggle when you talking about the alcohol macaroons😂 parts of NSW the state your in, will be snowing soon or just started. I’m going there next week Sydney to visit my other young adult daughters. And for the vivid shows too ❤
As a Sydney-Sider, this was definitely a great video but you should really go around Sydney as there a lot of national parks especially the Blue Mountains
Welcome to Aus. It makes me laugh seeing Sydney thru someone else’s eyes I have lived in and around Syd for 69 years so happy you are enjoying yourselves
Gosh guys! You are my kind of people. Decent healthy normal (oops, did just commit a grammar gangster rap?) friendly classy cool. I used to ride a motorcycle around the City of Sydney as a Ranger in the 1970's. Man we had some real depth of unity back then. I've lived worked loved and cried my hearts ever in Sydney it'll never die; but change it did and eras went by in Aussie music and scenes. When there were no suburban sky scrapers; changes some were cool some were crude, whatever they were, it's changed galore. Love from Sydney, AU P.S. I agree with "Dobuan75". Your video capture and editing skills are top notch. So bloody enchanting how you all interact and love what you are doing. Bless y'all.
A challenge.....Will you be thinking, when in a retirement village in many years time...."Hey, I visited Australia...or....Damn....I never visited Australia....."
Thanks for sharing. This brings back memories. I was there in Sep. 2019. Stayed in a hotel in Darling Harbour, walked all the way to Opera House. What a beautiful place!. Will go back there one day.
Awesome video guys. The facts were very informative about the opera house, I learned a lot. And this is coming from somebody born and bred in Sydney 47 years ago, 1977. Liked and subbed, again, great video.
It’s the Quay, pronounced as Key. While it is now called ‘Circular Quay’, you will notice that it’s shape is semi-circular, not circular. I am a retired Sydneysider, and I recall seeing a photo of a bus with a destination sign (desto) filled with small letters “SemiCircular Quay”. It seems that the first part was dropped at some time and larger letters just displayed “Circular Quay”, then later “Circ. Quay in still larger letters, which made it much easier to read as the bus approached. I suppose most people didn’t notice that the name didn’t match the shape.
Thanks for the tips! We thought about going to the zoo, but we ended up going to Featherdale instead for more hands-on experience with the animals. That will be our next episode.
Some suggestions for travelers to Sydney (1) Use public transport, including the train from the airport, rather than a cab or Uber and pay fares with an Opal card which covers all modes of public transport, including ferries (2) spend time outside the central business district - so many beautiful beaches and forested areas are accessible around the harbour by ferry and walking (3) in my opinion, Manly Beach (20 mins by ferry from Circular Quay) is a better option than the more famous Bondi Beach (4) if you have time, take the 2 hour train ride to the Blue Mountains.
Did you get to Luna Park It's a boardwalk amusement park on the Northern side of the bridge. At night it's festooned with hundreds of thousands of fairy lights. It's free to enter and you just pay for rides and attractions as you require. Fantastic
Sydney Harbour used to be Sydney's airport before Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport was opened in 1920. It's one of the oldest international airports in the world and was an alternative airport for the space shuttle because of it's long main runway. In comparison, California's oldest airport is Long Beach which opened in 1923.
As a Sydney sider, i stumbled across your video, and thoroughly enjoyed your content, i will look to see if you posted anymore in Sydney, a must=do is Manly Ferry and a walk along the Corso to Manly beach , and picnic icecream etc, crossing fingers

Slight correction, a "Mall" isn't an "Arcade". We call a mall a Shopping Centre. An Arcade means it's a long single strip of shops indoors and normally the arcade has an entrance just at either end of the strip, typically joining two streets at either end. You would have seen a few of them in the city centre in the old Victorian buildings.

Can’t get a coffee after 3pm? Seriously? What a load of rubbish. You were in the CBD and most of the coffee shops and food halls in the city centre are there to feed and fuel all the workers that flow into the city for a day of work, and by around 5pm most of those workers flow out of the city to go back home. Google says "Kangaroo is a lean meat with less than 2% fat, making it a healthier red meat option. It is also high in protein, essential B vitamins, minerals such as zinc, iron and omega 3 fats and omega 6 fatty acids. Compared to beef, kangaroo contains double the amount of iron and triple that of chicken and pork."
Kangaroo meat carries a high parasite load unlike domestically produced stock which is inoculated. The risk of salmonella, E coli, toxoplasmosis, listeria and coxiella contamination is also high.

As above. Great advice for a single or couple. But for a family of 4 a taxi will likely be cheaper given the airport surcharges on the train line.

Hi 👋 yes, our episodes take a few days to publish. Our oldest daughter is with us in Manila now. She just arrived today 🤗
ALOHA... One big happy family again yeheyyyy. enjoy life to the fullest, life is too fast for all of us. Mahalo for the response back.

Let me know if you are coming to Brisbane!
Love these facts. Healthy choice 🤗
Kangaroo meat carries a high parasite load unlike domestically produced stock which is inoculated. The risk of salmonella, E coli, toxoplasmosis, listeria and coxiella contamination is also high.
because they are not ruminants they produce very little methane, low impact red meat, Tasmanian pademelon taste better tho
It's a shame you missed VIVID, the kids would have loved it, nice to see you have trust in the kids to leave them on their own and have a date night👍
There is no such continent as ‘Oceania’. That is an American (incorrect) term. Australia is the Continent.
