I actually had a build similar to this concept, except it was, get this: A Scold's Bridle Auto-Warcry Loop Hydrosphere Double Strike Shotgun Berserker with Summon Reaper. Here's how it worked (NOTE: THIS WAS BEFORE THE HYDROSPHERE NERF): -Grab Eternal Apple + Scold's Bridle -Grab Warcry CDR on tree and make sure your Warcries have proper cooldowns to sustain the loop -Grab Cluster Jewel with the notable that has "Gain an Endurance Charge every second if you've been Hit recently" -Use skill, which causes Scold's Bridle to hit you -Generate Endurance Charge every second, which Triggers the Warcries socketed in Golden Apple once you hit max, which spends mana, which hits you, causing a loop -Manage exact Warcry cooldown nodes to maintain said loop between Endurance Charge generation and Warcry cooldowns even while idle -Golden Apple triggers Ancestral + Battlemage's Cry, and Battlemage's Cry triggers socketed Hydrosphere when you attack -Slap Melee Splash in Double Strike and shotgun Ancestral Cry attacks off of Hydrosphere, Tribal Fury node added even more Splash -Loop causes you to never lose Rage since you're constantly getting hit -Scale damage with Battlemage's Cry and Scold's Bridle Spell Damage, as well as Zerker Warcry node -Wanted cheap DPS, so I used Vulconus and I coincidentally wanted to try Double Strike -Vulconus + Double Strike give flat + % increased damage on Bleeding targets, and I had to take Avatar of Fire, so Summon Reaper was the most reliable way to apply bleed and wound up being like ~80% more damage -Pooped on bosses because Melee Splash was effectively another damage link with the shotgunning, and Double Strike is a natural bossing skill -Clear wasn't incredible but Melee Splash + Ancestral Cry + Herald of Ash made it tolerable -Constant removal of Ailments from Warcry mastery + triggered Warcries -Defensive layers included Leech, Withering Step + Nightblade, Defiance Banner, Berserk, Defy Pain, Imbalanced Guard, Meat Shield on Summon Reaper, and Molten Shell (Vaal Molten Shell was potentially an interesting option with the self-hitting aspect) The build was a pretty cool bosskiller that costed basically nothing. It was hitting like 300k Flaskless Sirus DPS not even in maps yet.
Hey just a heads up for anyone who may have an issue with their eternal apple warcry loop breaking, if you have too much "non-channeling skills have -x to total mana cost" on your ring, you will not damage yourself enough for it to loop infinitely. I have my ring with life/mana catalyst so I had -8 and it would only cast 4 warcries before stopping. Once I recrafted a lower level craft (I went down to -5) I stopped having the issue and it continued looping endlessly.
Had the same problem. In my case I could fix it by unallocating the "Skills cost Life instead of 30% of Mana", this brought all my warcries to 1 mana, which are the only skills that actually use mana and the regen is enough to make it loop indefinately. Problem was caused by running 4 auras of which 3 are linked with enlighten, the 4th is on the slot that is normally taken by Alchemists Mark, but i'm not using 2 curses yet so I used that slot for the second Herald.
I tried both of your methods to put ring on lower -x mana cost and unallocating the life mastery but then i cant afford warcries. I can start the loop perfectly fine when out of combat, but as soon as i start killing stuff it warcries 3 times, skips 1 and then repeats 3 times etc. Any clue as to how to fix?
A cast when stunned setup with pretty much any Bloodnotch setup is very underrated. You have no idea how many mobs I have auto-reaped because they attacked so fast.
You can also run 2 normal fragility and the loop will work on a faster cooldown. Instead of 1s gain 1s lose, with 1 maximum charge and enduring composure you will gain the single charge in 1s, and then immediately lose it due to eternal apple's "Lose all Endurance Charges Upon Reaching Maximum Endurance Charges". Not sure if this messes with cd's, and it also requires 1 more jewel socket. Just thought I'd mention it! Great video, this was an awesome and unique build!
unfortunately we are at the limit of the warcry cooldowns, more fragilities doesn't help. stacking cooldown recovery rate would be the way to scale this better though sources of it are hard to fit into the build.
to all the people suggesting ways to lose endurance charges to speed up the explosion/loop, know that the limiting factor is pretty much always gonna be the cooldown of your warcries, not how fast you can dump charges. the 0.25s cooldown listed on the item is basically the theoretical limit to the trigger rate, but eternal apple still retains the cooldown of the warcries themselves, even if you could consistently dump charges every 0.25 seconds the warcries would still only be going off about every 2-3 seconds per warcry (for all of them except gen cry, which you can get down to 1-1.5 seconds)
This setup looks really sweet for mapping! I made a bossing focused build around the charms going Necromancer and hit based instead, managed to take down all ubers without mageblood. Such a fun mechanic to build around, love seeing different flavours of the concept. Too bad this is probably the only league we're ever gonna be able to play it 😭

That Which Was Taken jewel I bought for 2 div is 100 now lol. Replica Fragility from 10c to 15 div etc. Probably atleast 50+ div now for a similar but still slightly worse setup tbh.
You're mostly right about the whole MF gear thing. Most of the juice we get comes from map and monster modifiers, not gear. That being said, it's always recommended to fit as much quant gear on your character as you can comfortably.
Hi subtractem, really enjoy your content. If you happen to see this, just throwing this out there: you can get summon raging skulls stacking to 2 per cast and have 2sec lifetime, that equates to 2 skulls expiring every 0.2 seconds ... which is interesting for wardloop mechanics, wink nudge! You can get the 2 skulls either with sabo triggerbots or stacking quality with enhance and Ashes (or super high awaken enhance by itself). This would take out a lot of the opportunity cost of wardloop in gems etc. away. And even by itself enable things like bladefall/bladeblast in just one 4link item with amulet, ward boots&helmet and perma flask (as only need to cover the 420 heartbound damage). Or stack the looping to enable having phys dmg reduction via end charges or dmg taken as... I would love to see a build using these. :)
The no mageblood version doesn't utilize bloodnotch/im. Force. Does anyone have some tips on how to get that integrated with that pob? I'm guessing the survivability will be a lot worse with that version.
@subtractem, you could concider putting bleed immunity on a flask, and using `The Golden rule` and changing watcher eye to poisons do not affect you. Gentle touch gloves could also give you additional clear. If you have that, the charm / jewel affix `cursed enemies % chance to explode 25% of life as chaos` will super juice the effect of the obliteration
Has anyone tweaked this somewhat around scaling phys damage clusters or chaos/dot multi clusters? The magebloodless one has chaos/DOT clusters while most higher-end ones are scaling phys dmg. Seems that I can't set up POB properly to see real differences between those so I wondered if getting large cluster with standard phys - Force multiplier, Iron breaker and master the fundamentals + medium cluster with brewed for potency (i.e. flask charges) would be more effective. Anyone tried it?
i m using grim oath, wicked pall, unwavering evil, feels better than phys damage cluster, sub has also transition away from phy cluster - u can check his player profile. i dunno how to config it in POB but it just feel better in game. Also if u swap out CWS with pinpoint to boost ur single target. only running 1 med clus - low tolerance with unwavering evil. Good luck Exile
I have a similar build with Ascendant and Lightpoacher jewel stacking with 6 socket replica shroud of the lightless. All jewels have Minion damage inc with minion skill used recently. Scourge claw. Charges generated by worm flasks. Charges maintained by agnostic/archmage in helm/arrogance + lvl 1 vitality combo. Even with only 6 points in Huntress (Because I can't find the boss for some reason) ascendancy it's blasting t16s.
I certainly picked a strange time to come back into this game.. the drops are kinda juicy to be sure, though I havent had any double hh drops lmao... Nice build too, kinda in my wheelhouse I like brainless builds like righteous fire, minions etc
Quick questions: Can this skill crit? Could we scale it by converting phys to elemental and then use either crit/EO to scale damage further? Is the explosion effected by base damage, like battlemage? (more spell damage from Arcane Blessing?) Very cool build!
according to the video this is neither an attack nor a spell, so spell dmg wouldnt work. I dont see why conversions wouldnt work, although it would be very difficult to reach meaningful converted as and added as levels without support gems for probably not very efficient scaling.
I can do T16 on my chieftain Fulcrum but got only 50 quant and 233 rarity i dont know if that is good enough or if i should aim for more. I was thinking to add a distillate in the build but i need freeze and chill immune without pantheon. Well only chill immune because i run arctic armor

the megalomaniac is a little tricky :P any other suggestions to look for instead of exposure therapy and wicked pall ? i suppose uncompromising is a must for the deter resrv effic.
Wicked pall is pretty interchangable with both Unwaveringly Evil and Unholy Grace as all 3 give the chaos damage. Any with a large amount of DoT multi and/or life% should be pretty good too.. even area of effect.
Nice build showcase using some uncommon mechanics interacting with each other, might not be the most efficient but definitely very big brain. For a quicker and more manual version, do you think Consecrated Path of Endurance as a method to expend endurance charge would work? and maybe Replica Farrul's Fur as a mechanic to sustain endurance charge?

Nooo, the secret is out :D But I would argue you skip scolds and just go unbroken circle flask instead. Should also look into getting Lead by Example on a megalomanic for free onslaught
Is Low tolerance required on a cluster jewel? Can't find one of those on trade... crafted one with student of decay in its place. Wondering if that will significantly hurt the DPS
I am doing the same thing with my fulcrum magic find build while rarely dying, but that build probably needs a nerf. The nice thing about magic find is that you can justify using winged scarabs, which give you more loot overall. It's probably not too profitable without magic find to be running those.
progenesis is great but it doesnt help dots. for dots you can use soul of arakaali and lethe shade, even better add in the 10% less dot taken mastery. i did that today for doing super hard maps.
@@subtractem swapped to corpsewalker boots and progenesis so far very comfortable running juiced t16 buriels running the abyss strat steadily gaining exp while still farming is very nice aspect
Can you make another video that explains things better? Cause I copied this gear wise as best I could I’m just missing your max rolled jewels but there is NO damage output I can’t even kill mobs in the chapter 10 area
Dude... As he said only the explode mod is mandatory and currently costs around 3D, the rest ist nice to have. Dont let the build die on that detail, it works just fine.
Thank you for the encouragement ! I compromised with the carm , but the right helmet and Crimos jewel are priceless . It works build , but not like in the tutorial . It was a waste of money to spend on the character .
i have used around 80div to get fully going without mageblood. It could have been a bit cheaper but expect this to get even more expensive once people refine the build.

I was able to snag 2 min endurance charges + explode charms which makes the whole thing auto work with just the shield

this build is way more accessible than the chieltain variant that feels really bad to run without the 20 div fulcrum.

At what level do you think you can switch to the build? What did you level with?
I am doing the same thing with my fulcrum magic find build while rarely dying, but that build probably needs a nerf. The nice thing about magic find is that you can justify using winged scarabs, which give you more loot overall. It's probably not too profitable without magic find to be running those.
Do you think implementing progenesis would be a good addition instead of taste of hate? Loving the build has some holes still (some over time damages)
progenesis is great but it doesnt help dots. for dots you can use soul of arakaali and lethe shade, even better add in the 10% less dot taken mastery. i did that today for doing super hard maps.
@@subtractem swapped to corpsewalker boots and progenesis so far very comfortable running juiced t16 buriels running the abyss strat steadily gaining exp while still farming is very nice aspect
How do you cap your Chaos resistance if you swap to Corpsewalker? I'm guessing Amethyst Ring/Flask?

Can you make another video that explains things better? Cause I copied this gear wise as best I could I’m just missing your max rolled jewels but there is NO damage output I can’t even kill mobs in the chapter 10 area
Post your pob in discord. You definitely missed more than some small jewel rolls if you cant beat act monsters.
After I got some sleep I found it I missed the corpse life nodes and yeah it’s working better now sorry it was all on me lol

Dude... As he said only the explode mod is mandatory and currently costs around 3D, the rest ist nice to have. Dont let the build die on that detail, it works just fine.
Thank you for the encouragement ! I compromised with the carm , but the right helmet and Crimos jewel are priceless . It works build , but not like in the tutorial . It was a waste of money to spend on the character .

From what I've heard in the video there is a version in the pob without Mageblood. The Apple and Obliterate are really cheap
i have used around 80div to get fully going without mageblood. It could have been a bit cheaper but expect this to get even more expensive once people refine the build.
PS: i used subtractems POB but just without the mageblood. The russian guys version is much cheaper but not sure how good it is.
