    Well, I've been doing international B2B worldwide for a very long time. Many JP businessman purchased goods from China and send to the Japan warehouse, so you might think its a Japanese product. What's more, even there's a 'Made in Japan' printed on the product, many of them are still made in China, Chinese factories only need to follow the order requirements. There's no cheap material in Japan since the country is so tiny, also not enough space to build big factories like CN, Vietnam or India. If you're gonna buy a product that is similar price or same outlook with Chinese product, be careful with your purchase.

    Thank you for your video. I took your advice and registered with the company because I have been purchasing and importing directly from China. It made a lot of sense what you said about buying goods directly from Japan but to my disappointment, when I was going through their online catalogue virtually almost all of the products I was interested in indicated directly from their vendors that these products are actually manufactured in China and not Japan. I also did a pricing test and again, I was highly disappointed as their prices are relatively higher than the same or equivalent products I have imported from China.

The only thing I would like to see is a move towards a hybrid account (dropshipping/wholesale). Hopefully someone will create that some day. But I understand why it is wholesale only.

    Generally love your content - but this one was quite misleading (I get the Japan-o-philia, been doing business with Japan for decades). Maybe you have a stake in the success of this platform (explaining the incentive) but - to say that only 'some' of the products might not be made in Japan lacks the integrity your content is generally known for. Most of the products appear to be sourced from China - meaning - you're effectively paying more for Chinese goods - made to Chinese standards, imported into Japan - where Japanese import duties are applied, a provision/margin for the Japanese importer is then added, not to mention a further margin for the site - and that's your price. You're paying a Japanese intermediary, for goods from China, that you could import directly at a much lower cost. Most Japanese entities don't want to engage with foreign clients - for reasons you'd likely not want to cover in your videos so as not to alienate your viewer base. There are still restaurants and businesses in Japan today with signs "Japanese only" on them. Why Japan remains off limits in many ways to the rest of the world is a topic most would rather not discuss. Without doubt - Japanese quality is second to none (or second only to Japanese quality from decades passed), however - it's far from the clear-cut utopia of ethical practices, business standards, manufacturing quality, elegantly presented here. Sourcing genuine goods from Japan - requires going there - forming lasting relationships (that require months, if not years, to cement), and above all else - demonstrating your 'worthiness' of that relationship, rather than pulling out your credit card, and a platform that offers (mostly?) Chinese made goods, under the flag of "sourced from Japan".

    • @mywifequitherjob
      @mywifequitherjob  6 месяцев назад +51

      I have no stake in this company whatsoever. And you have to realize that sourcing and making great products goes way beyond just where the materials are fabricated. To say that we are paying double is grossly false. The quality control and ingenuity is what is important here. We are generalizing an entire country here, but the quality that I've experienced from Japan is just way better. They care about reliability, packaging, everything. Whereas many factories I've worked with in China just throw something in a box and QC is always a problem

    • @ibcyt

      @@mywifequitherjobI second what you say. The issue here is not who makes it. Question is how good is the quality of delivered goods. And how much is the product tested at source. Chinese products in themselves are not the problem.

      I think this as to do with the fact the Chinese suppliers are well awear of the fact that exporting substandard products to Japan will cost them a lot of trouble with the Chinese Government. And so will not go that route. Enhance they only ship quality if they must. There are a lot of quality goods in China, but a lot of unscrupulous dealers.

    Checked the SuperDelivery, thanks for sharing. Just a quick question. I found this info about the import and duties on the webpage. Do we need to hire a shipping broker when buying from JP and send it to the US to help us clear the shipment, or are they taking care of that and sending it directly to our warehouse? Are they sending by any chance straight to FBA?
    "Customs clearance procedures for exports are handled by SUPER DELIVERY-arranged carriers.
    For imports, customers may be subject to import tariffs, additional related expenses, and procedures.
    Depending on the situation, customers may need to contact carriers or customs to complete the import clearance.
    If payment or procedures during import customs clearance are not completed, or if local customs/carriers consider the parcels invalid or undeliverable, the parcels may be held, returned, or discarded. Customers may also be responsible for any associated costs in these cases.
    Regarding the above, please note that SUPER DELIVERY will not be held responsible. Thank you in advance for your understanding."

    well , that is not for everybody and is not the same like Aliexpress . I have only an online store and they are asking me to summit a picture of outside of the building of my store. Aliexpress does not ask for that, you just make an account and start shopping.

      I have purchased items from Tokyo made in China. But the quality of those products are very good, as compared to same product in our country. It seemed that China supplies better quality to Japan.
