- A World Gone Mad!
Although the first signs of the cataclysm appeared in the mid-1980s, it was not until a decade later that the extent of the geological and ecological disaster became apparent.
By the early 21st century, humankind had begun its retreat from an increasingly hostile surface to the safety of vast subterranean shelters. By AD 2020, the churning, spitting earth came to a boil. Billions died, and entire species were consumed. The few surviving humans huddled in their scattered iron and steel tombs and waited.Four hundred and fifty years after it had sealed itself off, humanity returned to the daylight and was greeted by a radically altered world, a world that logically should not exist. A world populated by creatures from all of earth's past geologic eras.
The Xenozoic era is the brainchild of artist/writer Mark Schultz, and the extraordinary adventures of the surviving humans have been published in comic form by both Kitchen Sink Press and Epic Comics. Now the detailed and colorful background of the Xenozoic era combines with the critically acclaimed Twilight: 2000 game system to provide you with a roleplaying extravaganza!
CADILLACS & DINOSAURS is a complete game with character generation, combat, tasks, equipment, dinosaurs, adventures, and much more!
Compatible with Twilight: 2000 and all its supplements and sourcebooks!
A treasure-trove of background information for comic fans!
Lavishly illustrated by Mark Schultz!

The cartoon is only 13 episodes but was really well done. I enjoyed it. Good art and animation
And it looks as if all the episodes are up on RUclips, so I've got myself some background viewing next time I'm working. Cheers.
I love Cadillacs & Dinosaurs. Well-designed and so far ahead of the game in many ways. I still have my copy and watch the TV shows every now & then. I always thought that the rpg flowed better than Twilight 2000 too.
They've streamlined the rules a bit from Twilight 2000, but I still feel they're a little too combat based for what I think should be a fun action game. Outstanding game though.
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is shockingly a well-written cartoon that’s had writing darker and more mature than most people might expect if they are not familiar with the comics or arcade games. I am a little surprised the 90s didn’t have an official Jurassic Park RPG.
I have to admit I'm not familiar with the original comics, but loved the arcade game back in the day, it swallowed way too much of my money.
The mention of Jurassic Park, reminded me of the adventure in Twilight Nightmares, where the players encounter a "Dinosaur Park" as they wander post apocalyptic America in Twilight 2000. I guess due to the compatibility of the systems, they probably borrowed from Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.
Is this game still in print, or do we have to navigate the horrors of ebay?
I'm afraid GDW went out of business in the late 90's, so it's ebay to get a physical copy.
