Just a follow-up on the facts regarding Halfbreed blades
1. Country of Origin: How products are not made in Taiwan, they actually comprise both Australia and Taiwan make. Please see blow as stated on our website:
Where is it made?
Halfbreed Blades Australia is a production knife and tool company, comprising a fusion of Australia and Taiwan make. Our fixed blade and folding blade knives and hand tools are designed, developed, hand-finished, quality control checked and packed in Australia. CNC waterjet cutting, machining and grinding, together with our proprietary heat treatment and coating are completed at our production facilities in Taiwan. Machining and hand-finishing in Australia includes but is not limited to sharpening, polishing, fitting and assembly. Materials used in the manufacture of our products are sourced from Austria, Japan and the United States, this includes the steels utilized in the construction of our tools, G10 and Micarta® applied to handles and Kydex® molded in the fabrication of our sheaths. Halfbreed Blades is proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.
2. We use 222 on most of our fittings to secure the scales but use 243 for larger knives (including the LSK and LBK models) design to be used for chopping and batoning, this ensures they don’t come lose under hard use in the field etc.
3. D2: The steel we use is premium Austrian made Bohler K110. The specs are on the website and on the card included with the tool.

Darn it, another knife that I think I absolutely must have.
Pretty cool for a sharpened doorstop. Too much bulk for me. I've got plenty of tough, hardworking folders and fixed blades that won't take me to the bottom of the lake if I fall out of the boat! 👍

I love huge folders. I picked one of these up when they first dropped, and I really like it!
I do like the ruggedness of the LBF. I am perplexed as to why they went with a liner lock as this is prolly the least reliable lock under hard use tasks

Live this knife ..it has become one of my go to carry knives along with a 4max..the pocket clip makes me a little nervous because in comparison it small but it definitely does the Job, would highly recommend it to anyone who loves big, heavy folders
How do you feel about the liner lock, is it strong enough for this size folder?
It holds up well I have had no issue..granted I'm not in the woods batoning with it ..but cutting everyday things like rope and boxes and zip ties no issues..if your looking for strength go 4max if your looking for something a little fancier go LBF

I'm sure they are selling the heck out of these though.
I don't know how you afford all these knives, but you do a great job of getting many brands out to people, many of which are new to me when you post a video on them.
Just bought an LSK and its a beast, with this I think one day when they review they may got to a frame lock or a more solid locking mechanism. I am waiting on an EDC size knife from them.

Seems pretty expensive for what it is.. I'd buy it at around $300. But I guess they're charging per ounce lol
I have the Artisan Brass Proponent in D2 Steel at 14.89oz and it's way to heavy to carry on or in my pants. It's sharp as hell, but not an EDC. At these weights I'd suggest a fixed blade with a belt sheath. Just my opinion?

The plastic washers are CHEAP garbage and the pivot is TINY. That’s a NOVELTY Knife 🔪. If they were in fact worried about SMOOTHNESS they would have used BEARINGS.

We have bronze washers however the Teflon washers feel better.
@@halfbreedblades The only knife I've ever owned that just had Teflon/polymer washers inside was an absolute piece of crap from Smith & Wesson; almost every other brand I've seen stacks a thin bronze washer if using Teflon.
I just can't imagine those Teflon washers wouldn't get pinched, stretched, and/or deformed under use - especially heavy duty use this folder is marketed towards.
I'd only ever be willing to try a knife like this out of curiosity for the design choice of Teflon only and a liner lock on a 16oz folder.
When you talk heavy duty folders in 2020 you're basically talking about going up against Cold Steel - personally I can't see this expensive overweight monstrosity performing at anywhere near the level of reliability as the Cold Steel SR1, AD-10/15, or 4-Max. I wouldn't even be surprised if the 4-Max Scout ran circles around this thing.
One could even carry a Rajah 2 and still have 3 oz left over for another small folder. In my opinion the materials required to make this thing would be better used on making 4 smaller folders that people might actually carry.
100 If we get enough interest in Bronze these will be offered. We’ve found Teflon washers actually perform well and offer a very smooth action. Thx for your comments.
