    I would like to say thank you. I put my truck up on my Bend Pak and it started to bleed (creep) down. I thought I was totally screwed. I watched your video and within 10 minutes I had the check valve out and cleaned. I could just see a small piece of something in between the ball and the opening just like your described. I am now back in business. Thank you again.

    Thank you SO much! I'd been living with a lift that was bleeding down for a couple of years now, and your video helped me to fix it in 5 minutes (dirty check valve).. If I ever do need lift parts, I know where I'm getting them from!

    It doesn't appear that this account is used anymore BUT in case it is. Thank you for posting this. You got my butt out of a jam. I had a ton of work to do and to top it off our lift was acting up (bleeding down). The check valve cleaning saved my bacon!!

    Just watched the video. Didn't hear anything about the problem of the hoist goes up to the top lock, then let the car down on the lock, stored it for about a year, now it won't go up to release the locks so the car can be lowered. Lost prime? Something else?

    I've noticed that when the Check Valve is hanging open , that you can hear the electric motor turn backwards as it comes down

    What about one side being weaker then the other? Brand new 2 post lift cables are in sync but when I go to lift a car one side is weaker then the other and making one side lift slower then the other side I've even tried adjusting the cables so the slower side is lifting 1st and it still does it. Weak cylinder? No leaks and no air in the system everything is plumb and arms are even I have a few videos on my channel if u want to see what it's doing

    I have a car lift in my garage its an Atlas. If I have the car part way up and I stop for a second and restart lifting, it blows the breaker. I have checked the motor and both capacitors are ok. Would it be a relief valve that is sticking in the pump maybe? It hardly ever gets used so it is like new but 10 years old.

    Assuming I have the lift all the way down on the floor and want to clean the check valve because the lift drifts slowly down when raised. When I remove the check valve to clean it will the hydraulic oil come out of the opening and make a mess? I just want to be prepared as to what will happen when I remove the check valve... Thanks so much awesome video!

      Disassembled my check valve this morning and cleaned it out as the video described and it works like new again! I had a small rubber plug that I used while I was cleaning the valve and loss very little oil. Not much came out immediately and not like the tubing above the pump wanted to dump out instantly for those doing the work. You could probably have someone hold their finger or something over the opening while you took a couple mins to clean the valve and lose almost no oil at all. I didn't want to lose a lot of oil mostly so I didn't have to bleed a lot of air out of the system after.
      I put the valve down while on a few paper towels so I could see what was stuck in the valve after cleaning. After cycling the valve a few times and holding it open while spraying the carb cleaner liberally I saw nothing on the paper towels so I knew I didn't get anything out. My lift was having this issue for a long time so I repeated and sure enough a small aluminum burr popped out and I knew that was causing the problem. Being jammed in there for a while I not surprised it took some work to get it loose. Glad I used the paper towels as I probably would have put it back in after the first try and still would have had the issue. Thanks again for the awesome video and saved me some money with an easy free fix!

    • @paulhailey2537
      @paulhailey2537 2 года назад

      Not coming down can be the lowering speed valve that's the one with a lock nut on an adjustable screw. Loosen the locknut and back off the screw a turn or so , then tighten the locknut.
      The Slider Blocks on the Carriage could be broken or the Column needs Greased in the corners of the Column where they Slide.
      Your Vehicle could be loaded with too much weight in the Front or Rear Causing it to Bind up. Sometimes the Equalizer Cables are real loose and will make the Carriages bind up also

      blockage in check valve.

    • @paulhailey2537
      @paulhailey2537 2 года назад

      Leaking down can be caused by the Lowering Valve or the Check Valve or a Seal on the hydraulic cylinder starting to leak

    I have a 2 post from Direct Lift, lately it will not lift all the way up to the top, it will only allow me to lift about 6 feet. I also realized that the clicking bar only click up about 4 inches or about 35 degree on each click, but on the last click the click bar click about 6 inches or about 50 degree. If you have any answers, please share. Thank you
