  • Henry Kissinger, a high-profile US diplomat and controversial figure in US foreign policy, died on 29 November 2023, at the age of 100.
    In an interview with SBS Dateline from 2000, Kissinger talked about prospects for peace in the Middle East, Israel’s ongoing negotiations with Syria and the Palestinians, Indonesia under the leadership of President Abdurrahman Wahid, and US-Australia relations in the event of a conflict in the Taiwan Strait.
