Thanks, I've seen others do it by cutting plugs out of the same board with a special tool - don't have one of those but I liked the idea so thought I'd experiment and started looking around me. It was an obvious choice at the time and whilst they do contrast by being different wood, it looks good I think, so very happy with the result.
Thanks a lot. It'll probably not be the last time we need to remove foliage, as the fig tree roots are still there, but I'm certainly happy to see it look clearer
Hi you two lovely people, another great video. Hard work paid off on the well, & the headboard looking good, like the olive plugs in the screw holes, great idea. Take care, love ❤️

Thanks - I'm a demon with the loppers, and Phil just loves his mini-chainsaw-on-a-stick. It looks far too lethal for me to go anywhere close, but was the perfect tool for this particular job,
It's been a long wait, but we're so happy with the difference it makes to our everyday comfort, and will certainly help now the weather's starting to cool
Thanks so much, you're very kind! Don't think Phil's quite so enthusiastic 😉. Many years ago I did do some voiceover work, but nothing in more recent years. Maybe I should investigate what opportunities might be out there?
hi guys, another great vid.when we get back over ive got to get a lpg boiler are they freely available or is it best to bring one from home, head board looks great, good luck and see you in next vid.
We bought the boiler at Leroy's, loads available there. It was at the budget end and works fine but our local plumber said we should have bought the better quality local brand Vulcano, a bit late now but worth noting for future.
Thanks a lot - there are many options for the mechanism, and our preference at the moment is to clean it up and place it on top of the concrete cover that we will have to fit over the well. We see several around us as decorative features and they acknowledge so well what was there before.
Quick note on the solar panels. You can significantly reduce their output of the whole string if you allow one small part of only one panel to be in the shade. There are corner triangles covering the panels and dust too. Worth cleaning them regularly, and creating a support for them so they aren't impeded at all from sunlight. Lastly, it's worth getting some polished aluminium sheets to act as reflectors to boost their gathering performance such as what this chap does here .. ruclips.net/video/FKhszB4E1_M/видео.html
I know, there's so much I can improve upon. We are lucky at the moment that our consumption is quite low and we have multiple panels that charge well, even in the imperfect arrangement we have. Our bigger challenge as the days get dimmer will be battery capacity, and that takes cash so we'll do that when we really need to. Thanks for the video referral, an interesting idea with some very useful debate in the comments below. Thanks again, I am just getting started here and will have a lot to learn over the coming seasons.
Simple pleasures like hot water, great video.
Thanks, Larry. A hot shower at the end of a hard day's work is absolute bliss!
Very smart plugging the holes with what you have around. Ver nice headboard

Amazing cleanup of the well.

Jane , I could listen to you talk for hours. Have you ever done voice overs or audio books?

well done guys!
Thanks a lot, its good to have you with us.
So good to have hot running water! The well looks so good! Can you sell the metal works in the well? Someone might want to get it to run again.
