No mate, the key is to use the highest quality you can - this is the most crucial part of your setup so making sure you invest in quality is key (we'd never recommend doing it yourself)
@@OneStopGrowShopHydroponics LOL you think they use higher quality activated charcoal in filters than what you can just buy on Amazon? Why? The only difference between activated charcoal brands is the way the charcoal is activated, either by hot air or steam. With steam being marginally better. You can do it yourself with the exact same results without spending £60 on a filter you idiot.
@@Phexah Do that then mate, we aren't forcing you to buy a filter you know!Butt most people don't want a bodge job and prefer to spend a little bit more on a branded one which is already ready to install and use.
So it is safe to wash the filter in a washing machine? What soap? Air dry or machine dry?
We're do I purchase those rubber bands ?

Yes you can use activated charcoal and DIY a filter yourself for a fraction of the cost
@@xMrjamjam we'd never recommend doing it yourself to be honest, there's too much that can go wrong for the sake of spending £60 on a filter!
