It may only be 60-70lbs lighter on paper but it feels 100+ lbs lighter on and off road and way more power all over. It’s only negative is valve checks are not as easy as the old 411.
@@MikesProjectsandHobbiesMC thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it. Is the seating position between the Himalayan and Versys similar? One thing I like about the Himalayan is that it’s very easy to stand on.
@@alexjohnson3696 I have one inch risers on the Versys and IMS super stock pegs and standing on it is pretty comfortable. The stock seat on the Versys is god awful though. Probably the worst stock seat I’ve ever sat on. I changed it out to a seat concepts which might be a little narrower at the front which helps with standing.
I was watching the tach and the speedo and knew you had either a 15-tooth front or went with the 43 rear. The front is what updated and liked it. At 200 miles on my X300 the 14-tooth front had to go ! Your X300 is well accessorized.
Hey Mike, I saw the link on the Versys forum 👍 Seeing how you handle the gas nozzle shows how pedantic you are with everything. If I were any closer, I would be very comfortable buying a bike from your garage without any hesitation. Kudos for that! On an unrelated note, I thought someone will tell us what that car at @11:30 is 😄
@@MikesProjectsandHobbiesMC thanks mate. I love my x300, just completed 20,600km trip around Australia 🦘🌏 over 4 months. Punched above its weight in all aspects of trip. Off road river crossings, Hwy stretches and fuel economy, plus just fun and comfortable to ride. I could have done with that bigger screen 😜
Ahhh... Fresh X300 content! It hit the spot, thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The more i hear about that bike more i am like it ...good job..😊
That is awesome! Love what you've done to it. A true adventure bike. Not some 600lb touring bike with knobbies.
Picking my brand new 2024 x300 up this Saturday!

Want one myself. Perfect companion to my 24 klx 300.
I am trully happy for you ..😊
I have a Himalayan and am thinking of changing to this bike as it’s lighter.
Thanks for the upload

I'm surprised no one has answered the car question yet. LOL Thanks for watching.
Sweet bike.👍 i would own it 😮
It’s a pretty decent little bike.
Thanks for the great video! Are those mirrors available on Amazon or AliXpress? I hate the stock mirrors. 🙂
Yes you can get Doubletake mirrors on Amazon. amzn.to/47DEbxL
What screen did you put on mate, looks a bit bigger than standard
It’s a Givi knock off from Amazon that I cut down a little shorter. Thanks for watching.
