I think everyone likes to put hack on for the algorithm to get views the thing is it properly ruined the vid it was great crafting skills and would have gotten more likes etc without it.
It's a miter saw and a nail gun. You can use a hand saw with a miter box and hand nail in brad nails. Stop making the "I don't have the tools" excuse and go try.
It's great but a hack is usually something to make a thing easier or better for people. Most people don't have saws and scrap wood and bits of trim to do this!
FOR PEOPLE LEARNING ENGLISH: the correct phrase is "wooden half moons". Half-wooden moons means that the moons are made of 50% wood and 50% is other material(s).
This girl has so much faith in us being able to do something similar that she calls it a hack. Meanwhile I have a piece of frameless mirror just leaning against my wall at an angle. If it falls over it will shatter. And I'm OK with that.
This is too real. Got the exact same mirror recently and it's still in its original packaging because I'm afraid of it shattering. Serves its purpose nonetheless 😅
@@theflippedpiece hi... im retiring and would love to have my own workshop to do DIY, so inspired by you. Would u mind sharing me a list of the tools/machines u have? I also love yellowgreen! Thanks in advance, hope u notice me
@theflippedpiece This turned out AaaaaMAZING!!! Love all your projects!! Come to NC USA, I'm at the Beach, bring your bestie and help me redo my house!!! OMGOOOSH you're fantastic at flipping furniture!!
Hey hunny 👋 I'd love to know how much each project costs you to make. it'd be great if you could put in the descriptions the costings for people looking to replicate your amazing ideas. I love all of your videos and I'd love to try build some of these. Thank you for being sooo amazing 👏
Daniel: crafters just want to craft, they want ownership of unusual things. Cost does not count lol, but if they save money it is a bonus to them. I like to get old furniture and "craft" it differently. ;()
I'm not hating on this, but it's not a unique idea. My grandfather did this in the 50's to all the mirrors in their home. He also made frames for my grandmother's paintings
Personally I don't like the artificially distressed look, But I absolutely LOVE what you did to frame the mirror. Let me just quickly like this video in the hopes that I'll find it again in case I ever want to make a fancy frame for something myself... (Is it just me or can you not save Shorts in Playlists??)
Now, you can conveniently save shorts in your playlist. However, I found it infuriating that the option to save shorts was not available as I had to revisit a particular item and could never find it again.
I love watching these videos, and the stuff you come up with is amazing but never have I thought , I'll do one of these. This is something I would do, it looks adorable
Can you make a video explaining what MDF is good for (and not good for)? I often assume plywood is the only thing available for projects like this. Thanks!! ❤
I hate these videos that are like "look at my DIY hack"...except I have thousands of dollars worth of scraps laying around and you probably don't. Looks lovely, but let's not pretend this is a simple DIY or hack. It is neither.
Oh how I wish you would do full tutorials giving the measurements and the “how to.” Everything you do is amazing, and I’d be kidding myself if I thought for one second I could replicate your projects, but I could at least have the tiniest amount of hope 😊
The MDF, Paints, stains decorative wood balls look expensive, Even if you had the tools, this is definitely not a save money hack. Not even counting your time to buy supplies and working on the mirror! I'd love to know what were the total hours to complete with shopping, set up, drying time, plus the cost of all the material. Gorgeous results if you want something custom.
Awesome transformation, you are a clever lady and i thoroughly enjoy your content, Merry Xmas & stay safe! 🎅🥂⚘️❤️🇦🇺 from Gladstone south australia...👍⛱️🎄☃️🎁
This is really cool, but when are we going to stop calling things “hacks”? Life hacks are supposed to be easy ways to make things simpler, shortcuts. Not hard work, effort, and powertools.
Aww this is so pretty!!😻 I love how you used a ton of scraps and how it looks so high end👏👏👏 what kinda glue did you use for the mirror btw??? I tried a small mirror project and the stickies I used are already coming down :(
I like everything about you... I don't have what you have but I can do it because you make me feels like I can. THANK YOU. I also noticed you slowed down your speed of speaking. Thanks hon.
It’s not really a hack, you just completely handcrafted a beautiful mirror and happened to get the glass from IKEA😂🙌🏻
Its like people forget the definition of hack 😂
I just commented that same thing. Not quite a hack but still came out nice.
I think everyone likes to put hack on for the algorithm to get views the thing is it properly ruined the vid it was great crafting skills and would have gotten more likes etc without it.
BEAUTIFUL love it!
True 😂
IKEA Hack 101
Step 1. Buy mirror
Step 2. Have an entire woodwork shop in your garage.
Trop vrai 🤣🤣🤣
Right? When she got out the table saw and the nail gun... That's not a hack lol

This isn't a hack you're a carpenter honey
LMAOOO
The color isn't to my taste but other than that the mirror turned out beautiful! :)
Love the color but it would look incredible if it was black or silver ❤
Imagine in like a super bright color to all like a pop
I agree
It could use a tad more bronze so it would look expensive-old, not cheap-old.
@@damned2058yesssss ❤
I wouldn't call this a "hack". This was a full on skilled project with specialist tools. But it looks great! 👌👌

Make that a broken mirror with a triangular shape just leaning against the wall on a table... I'll get to it, one day 😅
For real
That part
This is not a hack, it’s a talented young woman who threw a bunch of stuff together and BAMM 💥 Masterpiece 🥰

OMG!!! That is the most gorgeous mirror I have ever seen!!!! Fabulous job!!!!
It’s a highly subjective project. I don’t like the color or the clunkiness of it, but you did a good job.
Absolutely terrific, all components work beautifully together, well done !

All done with scraps too other than the mirror obviously. Well done you 👍🏼
The mirror was $13 - after she was finished? A couple hundred at least. She could make a living selling nice mirrors.

Same! Love the style but I'd definitely add gold if I do something like this!

How would this be a hack? The only "hack" in it is where to get a cheap large mirror from for a project
Cannot wait to try this amazing flip!!! It's absolutely stunning 💙🌟👏

You should be a set designer. Thats amazing!
important to note that you should glue it with a special glue that won't damage the silver backing in the short term.
