Hi everyone
This is the first song I have ever written.
I am happy to share it with all of my fellow military bothers and sisters.
Writing this was a therapy in itself and I hope that publishing it can help someone out there who is struggling.
Afghanistan was a very hard part of many of our lives. The challenges are something that very few people understand.
Whether your battle was Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, or one of the countless other battles we have faced, this song is for you.
Feel free to share it with other veterans or active duty warriors.
Soldiers, Marines, Air force, Army Soldiers, Navy Sailors- we have not forgotten your sacrifices.
You will be remembered.
Don't let your PTSD be your last battle. You can make it through.
You will beat this thing.

You never cease to amaze me Redmond! What a unique take on a traditional military cadence. It's great to see how music can bring people together, especially in the military where camaraderie is so important. Your lyrics paint a vivid picture of the experiences and sacrifices that soldiers make during their service and the sense of loss and dislocation that many veterans must feel upon returning home. Overall, this is a moving tribute to the men and women who serve our country, and a reminder of the high cost of freedom. Thank you and all our troops and veterans for your service. Freedom is not free.
