Thanks for doing an unboxing and describing the type of USB connector that plugs into the camera. I would suggest also describing if it's left angle or right angle for those consumers who are interested in buying their own USB cable instead of using the own included in the box.

Question. I want my resolution at 1440x1080p and everytime I start the car and the dash cam starts recording, it automatically starts recording in 2160x1080p resolution. Is there anyway I can save my preferred resolution setting without it automatically reverting to the 4K resolution?

Bought one and was skeptical but found that it works great. Have not hard wired it yet but that will come soon. Installation is very easy. There are lots of videos to help with that. The only suggestion I have is that they add Bluetooth to it so you can have it on your phone for a larger screen.

Thanks for the review. Question: do the cables (power cable and micro-USB cable) have to be connected to the front and rear cameras when they're being used? Or can you charge up the cameras and then unplug the power cable? Similarly with the micro-USB cable - can the WIFI feature take the place of the micro-USB cable?

Just installed this dashcam, and bought because I watched this. However, there is one small issue. The GPS will NOT turn on. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

BTW, very nice review. I just received my F7N. Checking to see if I can power it from the mirror in my Tacoma rather than using the cigarette lighter (less wire to run then).
FYI, In case anyone is interested: The Dongar power adapter that connects to the auto-dimming mirror in the Toyota Tacoma recommends usage for less than 2 amps. The specifications on Amazon indicate the F7N uses 2 amps (I have seen it listed as 2.5 amps somewhere as well but can't find that now - maybe when the second camera is in use too?). Not a good fit.

Loojs like in your demonstration, you're able to record front and rear at same time.
This us confusing. Unfortunately this is a product of China which Ive seen wrong grammar and spelling before.

This is a review of the tiger dash cam that you see me unbox and show. Video from both front and rear are from the dash cam featured,no trickery involved :)
I only just got this installed, but if it's like others u have owned, the rear and front cameras are stored in different folders on the SD card. Hope this helps!
The front cam videos clearly looking choppy/jerky and surprisingly rear cam videos are smooth. Isn't this an issue?

I like everything I see about this one, though I agree better with at least a standby battery, I would like to know if can full screen rear camera live as did front. Seen in question about loop recording issue you no longer use this one, did you find a better, hopefully reasonably priced, option? Will you be reviewing that one?

Never used a dash cam before so roughly what sd card does yours use? Also does it just overwrite when it’s full? In addition does it always have to be in the cigarette port usb slot charging?
Overwrite, yes, that's the looping feature. When it gets full, it's starts overwriting the older content.
Is this camera hardwired only or can it be battery operated so I don’t have to run a wire through my interior into a charging port or something of the sort? And the 30fps looks broken up, is there a 60fps option or no?
Good review. Were you able to get the license plate numbers in front of you at night like around 19:53? was not clear on youtube low resolution.
I upload in 4K, so what you see is what you get
A tip I find is don't try too hard to read it while the video is playing. Pause and take a few screenshots leading up to it and after the time you see the plate #, then view the screenshot and zoom in as much as you want. The license plate at the time you said says K0Z 3 and I could see it clearly zooming in with the video only at 1080p.
I just need something for safety because I am buying a very nice car and don’t want people to mess with it while I’m away.

Shopping for a dash cam and I really like the review and the product. A general question and pardon me if it sounds stupid. Lots of these dash cams come with Wi-fi so does that mean you have to have wi-fi in the car for it to operate? We bought a new car recently and it comes with wi-fi for 30 days free.
No, your vehicle does not need wifi. The wifi enabled dash cams allow you to connect a device (e.g. a phone) via the wifi to interact with them to retrieve videos, images, manage the device settings, etc.
You can use wifi to update the dash cam software!

I have the viofo a119 v3 with imx335 sensor, the redtiger has a imx415 sensor right? So is the night time footage better or clear as far as you can see? And the rear camera looks more like a reversing camera than a rear camera. Have you compared this with other dash cam's?
This is a rear camera. The difference between the 2 is a backup or reversing camera only comes on when the vehicle is in reverse, the rear cam on this dash cam can be turned on at any time and stays on until you switch to ether front or combination which he showed a few times in the video.
I have a 2018 car and the car lighter will not charge the camera. Neither will the one in the middle console, but when I put it in my usb it works... then I have to either sacrifice my android auto and navgation/music or my camera? Maybe I just need to hardwire it.....
I set this to the correct time zone (central) but every time it’s powered off it defaults back to the factory settings of (eastern) . Is there a way to prevent that? Also, do you have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi every single time you turn the car on for the app to work?
i had to turn on or off the daylight savings time to keep the time constant.
Another video from the factory shows the clear plastic square pieces. Take the film off and stick them to your windshield(s) THEN attach the 3 M adhesive mount to the SQUARE PLASTIC PIECE you just mounted. NOT TO THE WINDSHIELD WITHOUT THE CLEAR SHEETS PUT IN PLACE FIRST! I got mine yesterday and browsed the instructions. Am sure that info is in it.
You are correct - 1. Remove dirt and grease from the
windshield and attach the electrostatic
adsorption sheet to the windshield.
How to use the electrostatic adsorption sheet
Since the adhesive strength is strong on both sides and it is
difficult to peel.off once it is pasted, it will be troublesome if the
pasting position is incorrect. Therefore, the electrostatic
adsorption sheet is attached to the windshield.You can easily
readjust by sticking the double-sided tape on the mount and
peeling it off.
2. Peel off the double-sided tape
attached to the GPS built-in bracket and
attach it on the electrostatic adsorption
sheet on the windshield.
0To strengthen the fixing force, do not attach the main body and
leave it for 24 hours or more.
0Re-sticking may weaken the adhesive strength of the tape and
cause it to fall off.
Does this heat up very fast? Can we use this for a very long drive?
Is the rear camera weather resistant? If so, how well does it hold up even with car washes?
Of course it's water resistant. No issues with car washes
My current dashcam has a very wide angle and at 170 degrees I'd call this wide angle as well. This is great for capturing a lot of stuff, but what I found with mine is that it makes things look really far away. Someone pulled out right in front of me and we had a very close call. I'd say we were only 3 feet (1m) apart, but when I looked at it on the video, it looked like miles away. And with cars that are at a distance, but not way down the road, say 10 car lengths, they are barely visible on my footage. Is that the case with the red tiger?

How did you get the front and rear recording in the same screen? I tried to review the recorded videos in my cam and i can only see them separately. Is there a way i can have the recordings of both front and rear together in the same screen like you have demonstrated?
No, that was done with editing for the review

I THINK there is, but I'm not sure which button it is. There are certainly no buttons easily labeled as such.
why was the daytime driving video stamp different from the night time one? Night had the gps and location stamped. Is that just a turn off and on option out of the box or need more?

There is a model, I remember not which, but has a rear camera doubles as a backup camera with the positioning markers in the screen view.
@@TheJabberTech Instead of guessing, you could just determine yes or no since you own it. You'd know if it does bc installation will have a lead that attaches to one of the reverse lights to activate when car is selected into reverse gear.
hello. can the front dashcam unmount from the car mount easily? i do not want to continue mount the dashcam in the car if i dont drive it. i dont want people break my windshield becox of the dashcam. thx
He showed in the video where it can easily be removed from the mount. Mine also came with the electrostatic stickers, so I am able to move the location of the camera without messing up the adhesive. The manual does caution not to move it too many times or the sticker will wear out. But yes, it can easily remove from the mount for safe keeping.
The default factory setting for timezone is eastern; if I change it to central and turn off the vehicle and turn it back on, it defaults back to eastern is there any way to prevent this? Also, to get the app to work, I have to go into the settings, turn the Wi-Fi on, then to the Wi-Fi settings on my phone and reconnect every single time. Is there any way to not have to do this every time?
Only thing I can think of is some phones allow you to connect to 2 wifi simultaneously.
Is the gps location stamped on the video only if the camera is connected to your phones data? Or does camera's GPS not need to be connected your phone to register the vehicles location.

Have you experienced the SD card getting filled because the loop feature doesn't work? I've read reviews that say this is a problem. I want to buy this but would prefer something you can set and forget. Also what can you say about the G-sensor mode? Too sensitive? Not sensitive enough? Does it record only 1 minute videos after a collision detection? Can it record for longer?
Don't use this cam anymore but I had no issues with loop recording

All dash cams record In something called looped recording. They save in 1, 3 or 5 minute segments but yes it records the whole drive

The top right button will lock the video. I believe it is the UP arrow on the right side of the camera housing.
when I try to playback the video footage it is really choppy and I've realized in the dashcam screen that when driving, it is not smooth neither. Am I missing something in the config or is it the sd card(mine is Lexar 128gb U3)?
Maybe defective unit
Lexar isn't that good of a SD card brand relative to the others on the market for dashcam use. SanDisk's premium line + Samsung EVO are good; the EVOs are often on sale around the holidays. Target high endurance and high write speed, class 10 and above.
Use the video player F7N recommends, read the manual, most windows players will be choppy
