Thank you for posting this video. Everything was perfect. My camera came with POOR instructions, no photos, no explaination as to how to get to the menu buttons, simply a description of what the button functions are. Your video was a huge help. Excellent job.
Thanks a lot. I was just about to return it since the installation seemed to be sort of complicated and the instructions in the manual not helpful at all 😯
The SECOND time anyone installs something like this, they've learned from their mistakes ... OR you can find an excellent video with all the tips you need to avoid disaster ... Like bringing the front camera to the back of the car when you install the back camera! Thanks!! BTW your English is fine.
I bought the new version of the dash cam for our upcoming trip for my cousins wedding that we're driving to. I love road trips but I hate other drivers because they have no respect for other drivers that do care about getting to places safely or drivers who want to commit insurance fraud. Thank you for doing this video.
You are the best. Your instructions were so accurate, that they cannot get better than this. I just followed your steps and got the setup and the concealed wiring done in under one hour. A big THANK YOU. 👍👍
It will drain the car's battery if you leave it plugged all the time. This is why it also has a ON/OFF button, so you can manually turn it off, if your cigarette plug stays on all the time. OR, you could get one of those devices with multiple cigarette plugs on them, which you can also control with a ON/OFF switch.
Thanks for this great video ! A question : if I set up the loop on 5 minutes and if I drive during 10 minutes : will be the first loop (first 5 minutes) deleted, or everything (both 5 minutes loops) is kept on the SD card till it will be full ?
Yes, absolutely. All recordings are kept on the SD card until it will be full. All saved video will be keep for ever though, until they are manually deleted, or the card is formatted.
Very helpful. Clearly and simply presented as a guide and DIY installation. Check your vehicle first, the cables might run in areas/panels where airbags are and you have to be careful.
Thank you so much. I bought this F7N Dash Cam. Going to install this weekend. But wanted to tell you, my camera came with the tool you showed us on the video. That's a bonus. Again thank you.
Great video! Does the cable running from front camera to rear just supply power or is needed to communicate with the front as well? Or is it wifi? I ask because I have a lighter outlet near the back window I can use if it's only for power. Also I think this comes with the tool for hiding the cable now, is that correct? Thanks!
The cable that goes to the rear camera, is for the video feed from that camera to the main unit. The cable that runs from the cigarette plug to the main unit, is just for power though.
Very appreciative, I was looking for a good dual dash cam till I stumbled upon your video with detailed easy to understand instructions and demonstration. I think this will be my first choice. Thanks again
Thanks. I have had problems with the suction cup types falling off during the summer. I am in North Carolina. Since I won't be removing the cameras think I will take your advice and not use the square plastic pads.
Just got this red tiger 4K dash cam and felt I needed a RUclips video for installation, since instructions aren’t to helpful kind of want to use rear camera for the side mirror for changing lanes instead since I already have a back up camera.
Thanks for the guide. My annoyance was the the rear cam has about 10 feet too much cable which was a real pain to stuff away, and the main camera and power cable was juuuust barely long enough to reach!
You are right. I didn't even noticed this until you pointed it out. Although, I believe this was a editing frame-rate issue versus my camera framerate and the dashcam one. Playing the video on your computer from the MicroSD card of the dashcam is smooth and I never noticed any stutter.
Amazon recommended a hardwire kit which requires me to connect it to where the car charger plugs into the dash cam itself. Did i need it? Or is there a way I can use it to connect to my trucks radio which has a pretty good size screen
Normally this kit includes all you need to install the dash-cam and be ready to go. The extra wiring kit was probably the optional kit for the parking monitor function if you want to use that.
Thank you very much… your video is very helpful. I am pretty much impressed with this camera but looks like the 4K front cam videos are choppy. Are those videos good or really choppy?
I only use it on HD mode, and not 4k mode. But if you see choppy video in playback, check also with another media player to be sure this issue doesn't come from your player.
This was a very helpful tutorial. I had my system installed quickly. RedTiger must have seen your video because my Plus system included the tool and adhesive channel management.
You will have to look for the best location for the rear camera, while holding the camera and checking the screen to find the perfect spot inside your truck.
Hi, I just want to ask that when I leave my car in public open parking, if someone crash my car, and engine is in turn off position. This incident will automatically recorded without my absence ??
The parking mode will only works if you get the proper (extra) kit for the camera, or find a way to connect it to a constant power source (but then have to turn it ON and OFF manually). The dashcam needs to have power to activate the parking mode. If not, then it will not record anything while the car is parked, and the camera is OFF.
Sir, can the rear camera be installed in a hatch back From the inside? How would I be able to put this in the rear, if I already have a rear back up view unfortunately, so I guess inside is the best way?
Inside the car is the best place to install it indeed, because it's not suffering of the sun & rain, but also it's less tempting from bystander to try steal or mess with it.
I am pretty happy with how nice the night vision works with this camera. GoPro aren't really made for night filming though, but more as a daylight action cameras.
Ok, camera installed. The app works on iPad mini 4. But it won’t save files onto it when I try. It does have them in the app though. Default settings. Maybe the ipad can’t handle the 4K files? I also notice when watching playback on the app, the rear camera video looks better than the front camera.
You may want to check your dashcam setting to be sure the front cam resolution is set correctly. Also, I am not a big fan of Apple products myself, because they are often behind Android technology, and often aren't compatible with a lot of other gear. So, you mostly pay for the Apple brand itself at the end. So, I am not surprised to hear about your iPad not handling high resolution video files. I would try with another device if you could.
@@dronyland check front cam resolution? It was in factory settings.. with the highest res. I’ve since set it to the next one down… appears to be a little better…

Then you have to mount the rear camera on another surface than the windows, so that it can still see through the rear windows, but it's not actually mounted on it. Worse come to worse, if you really want to mount it on your rear window, you could also make some kind of adapter to make the base of the rear camera work on flat straight windows surface.
I don't have any Apple devices, so hard to say something accurate about using the app on those. As for the MicroSD, you always want to install an "endurance" rated one in a dashcam, because of the constant write/erase. This one is the one I always go for: www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Endurance-MicroSDXC-Adapter-security/dp/B09WB1857W
I got this for Christmas this morning. When I power it up(via PC), I get the red screen wanting SD storage. After that, I get a blue screen just showing "Mass Storage. It won't do anything else. Any help with this? I don't have a spare SD card at the moment.
Did you try to format the card ? May be there is a problem with it. You could also try to read it directly on your PC using a Micro-SD card reader, without using the dashcam as the reader, just to be sure the card works.
Another video from the factory shows the clear plastic square pieces. Take the film off and stick them to your windshield(s) THEN attach the 3 M adhesive mount to the SQUARE PLASTIC PIECE you just mounted. NOT TO THE WINDSHIELD WITHOUT THE CLEAR SHEETS PUT IN PLACE FIRST! I got mine yesterday and browsed the instructions. Am sure that info is in it.
Thanks for the info. I was aware of those plastic sheets and their purpose during filming, but I decided to go without them because the 3M tape will have a much better grip on the windshield without those on the way, especially in hot weather area, like here in California.
Have you experienced the SD card getting filled because the loop feature doesn't work? I've read reviews that say this is a problem. I want to buy this but would prefer something you can set and forget. Also what can you say about the G-sensor mode? Too sensitive? Not sensitive enough? Does it record only 1 minute videos after a collision detection? Can it record for longer?
I never experienced this issue with mine. However, it's recommended with all dashcam to 1) Use a Micro-SD card rated for "endurance" 2) Format the card regularly using the dashcam menu (not on the computer). Hope that helps.
I just got this camera. Every other dash cam I had , it stayed on while I was driving. This one turns off and I can't see any video while I'm driving. Is this normal for this dash cam, or do I have a faulty one?
The screen is may be set to turn off automatically after a certain time. Usually, it's called "screen timeout" or "screen saving" in the settings menu.
I installed the camera, then install the rear camera, but when I plug-in the rear camera the unit shut-off then starts up, then shuts off...when I unplug the rear camera the units stays on..!!!! Anyone has any idea of Why it does that???
That's why I recommended to test the camera before installing it, in case of any malfunctions. Look like you will have to contact the manufacturer about your issue though.
Awesome video. Do you need to have the dash cam connected to WiFi at all times in order for it to record or only when you want to look back at the video? Is the app where you would like at the videos? Thanks!

Nice video, and I have a question about how to charge the camera. This is the first time I have received this sort of charging cable, do you have to purchase an additional charging unit to insert the adapter into, or can you simply plug it in your vehicle? Thank you.
You have to leave it plug into your vehicle for the camera to work. The battery is just there to keep the memory on the time & date, but don't do much without the 12v from the car.

The rear camera can be installed on any rear windows, as long as there is a window in the rear of the vehicle, and a way to mount the camera on top of it too.
Those replacement 3M stickers are actually very easy to find on Amazon or eBay. They also usually will give you some spare ones with the dashcam itself sometimes too.

Everything smooth with the dashcam had it since Christmas. Only problem i have right now is the Time (only the time) isnt changing.. everytime i try to change it (day lights savings moved it a hour ahead) it just reverts back. Not sure if anyone is having the same problem and knows the solution
That looks like an problem due to the internal battery not charging enough to maintain the clock & settings. This happens also when not using the dashcam for a few days/weeks/month.
@@CryptoDrone Not really. If you think you power the dashcam long enough for the battery to charge, and use it then daily but still have this issue, then my guess will be that the internal battery is probably dead/defective. In such case, you could contact the manufacturer for warranty service.
Thanks a bunch for detailing everything! Helps a lot as dash cam shopping already overwhelms me! I also love the camera you’re using to shoot this video, what do you use?
Thank you for your insight. Once install the camera, do you ever have to turn the camera on or off? and does it always start recording on its own? Never owned one of these before.
If your car cigarette plug turns OFF when you turn the ignition OFF, and ON again when you turn the ignition on, then your dashcam will turn ON along with the car and start recording right away. It will also turn OFF when you turn your ignition off. But I believe there is also a way to turn it ON/OFF manually. I never use it though, but it should be explained in the user manual.
And will the camera turn off of the car turns off and what mode is where I can record all night or is that the loop recording ? I'm interested because someone poped my tires :/ and wanted to get a camera for it
thank you, awesome video. I am new to dash cams and learned so much!!, Do we REALLY need the distracting back ground music! I watch and listen to you tube videos to HEAR the material, If I wanted music I would listen to music!!! ARGGGGGG thank you for letting me share!!!
I always try to keep my background music as low as possible, and to also keep a good level on the speaking/explanation audio track. But I find that a video is less boring to watch with some background music, than just the sound of the car passing by, or me breathing in the background :D

Very informative video instructions. I found it very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to help others maneuver through this process.
@@dronyland know a solution to this? Its just plugged into my car and its my daily driver
@@CryptoDrone Not really. If you think you power the dashcam long enough for the battery to charge, and use it then daily but still have this issue, then my guess will be that the internal battery is probably dead/defective. In such case, you could contact the manufacturer for warranty service.
Great video!!!
Thanks a bunch for detailing everything! Helps a lot as dash cam shopping already overwhelms me! I also love the camera you’re using to shoot this video, what do you use?
It's (almost) all recorded using my Samsung S10e phone.
Super, merci pour le video. Très bien expliqué !
Beautiful video lesson!
So the loop recording , does it record when the car is off and will loop record the footage an increments of 5 minutes until you run of storage
And will the camera turn off of the car turns off and what mode is where I can record all night or is that the loop recording ? I'm interested because someone poped my tires :/ and wanted to get a camera for it
Thank you in advance
thank you, awesome video.
You just have to complain about something Karen. The music was not that loud. Smh!
Thank you for this video!!
Thank you.
