Even as an agnostic, I really appreciate that you circle around to the source material once in a while. I grew up in a Christian household, and VeggieTales was my introduction to the faith. Later in life, I decided that it wasn't for me, but I have fond memories of seeing stories from the Bible retold by the colorful cast. It's really cool to watch somebody from outside the original studio crew make something that honestly seems like it would belong in the show.
I think I remember reading about why they didn’t include Coucho in the actuel show despite that it was only in a magazine. It’s because it would’ve been very hard to animate. However, people like you and Daniel Slade seem to do it pretty well.
That’s because back in the early 90s, CGI was kinda new, so what would’ve been easier to animate today (Coucho, for example) would’ve been harder to animate back then.

This ending is meant to make me feel good :3.
It does have it's treats. Like imagine this was a 100% Good Ending.
In Coucho’s defense: Larry didn’t even move when the toast was coming down, he just looked up and screamed, or just looked up and did nothing.
Like that family in the climax for Man of Steel that just stood there while Zod was trying to kill them with his laser eyes before Superman broke his neck.

I knew he would return again
Coucho is a scrapped character from VeggieTales. He is a dark-colored toaster and is only seen in a 1993 Christian Magazine advertisement of the show that promoted the series premiere. He was scrapped from appearing in the show because the character proved to be too hard to animate with the limited CG technology at the time. It was rumored that he was replaced by Qwerty in the final show, but since the ad mentioned "a brainy personal computer" (possibly referring to Qwerty), it is possible that Coucho was intended to appear in the show with Qwerty.
