Words cannot describe the struggles your music has helped me get through over the years. I've been listening to you guys since 05. You have been my favorite band since. Please don't ever stop making that beautiful music. And thank you so much for all that you've created.
Thank you Hammock for giving us a behind-the-scenes look at your masterpiece! I dream of seeing a series about the pedals that you used in the recording.
The drums really do elevate this record and turn it into something unlike your previous releases. I was listening today and trying to describe it, “same ol Hammock but they sound more like *a band* ” is what I could come up with. Big, live sound. It’s pretty cool.
I love the teamwork. I love that everyone is able to share ideas and add new perspectives on sounds or on melodies. I've started getting into music, and I'm very inspired by you. I love seeing videos of the process you guys go through.
Please never stop writing and producing. You are inspiring and the music is sublime. It is definitely the sound track of my life as well. Love your thoughts and behind-the-scenes - more of that please! :)
Thanks Andrew. I must agree that Jake's drumming really makes Love In The Void feel more like a band with an organic chemistry rather than two musos. There are a lot of great twin muso groups like Boards Of Canada, Dead Can Dance and Hammock, but I really like the way the mixes sound with the drums just a touch higher in the balance that gives it the band feel and I personally really enjoy hearing the textural nuances of Jake's drumming against the textural instrument layering that helps make the record so expressive and dynamic. I love Steve Hindalong and timEbandit drumming too. Jake definitely goes massive when he goes big, summoning the extricated soul of Orri Páll Dýrason. Fantastic collaboration; unexpected surprises... and tears.
Thanks for showing in studio footage guys. I’ve been hoping to see something like this. I hope you make more videos like this in the future. Love the insight from you guys and seeing the gear
I prefer Hammock songs without drums. Just the guitars and synths... It makes me feel alive, grateful, sad, nostalgic... no music ever takes me as far as the Hammock songs. Thank you very much!
Love every single albums you guys make. Soundtrack to my life.
