I've listened to Hammock for an estimated 30,000+ hours. I've been drinking Hammock for over 16 years. For the better part of 11.5 years at a job, I listened at work nearly 6 hours of an 8.5 hour shift, 5 days a week. I'd listen to Hammock the hour drive every work day in the dark hours of the pre-dawn for 11.5 years. I'd listen at home at night for a couple hours several days a week for years.
@@maxp918 the first song that got me hooked was the house where we grew up. Then listened more and found raising your voice trying to stop an echo, god send us a signal, will you ever love yourself, etc etc. They’ve been my peaceful/study music for over a decade after they were recommended on iTunes. I don’t even remember what I was listening to that was similar. Maybe Explosions in the sky from the Friday Night Lights soundtrack
All I've been listening to for the last 4 years - Hammock. I've tried to tell people about it, show them, and they just can't seem to slow down their minds and actually listen, actually hear it. I don't know if anyone can break through like that for people who just don't listen, and can't hear all that's going on here. I had a co-worker say "yeah, it's mellow, and kind of sleepy" to which I vehemently replied "Not at all, this music energizes me, and rejuvenates and makes me feel alive. I don't find it sleepy at all, and if you listen, you'd start to see what I mean." If I had the money for a studio, I'd create my own version of this music. But for now, all I can do is my singer-songwriter stuff. So that means you guys have to KEEP going. ;) Thanks for all your dedication and the gift of your music!
Well said! I've also been told that it's "Really intense," which is funny because that statement usually comes from my friends who are into metal and punk.
Yeah, sadly some people don't get it. They can't. Maybe they shouldn't. It's special for a select people. I've listened to Hammock for an estimated 30,000+ hours. Hammock my life inspiration you practically saved me because I almost gave up on my life, but when I heard your music for the first time it was like I was reborn and I can only thank you with all my heart. Hammock forever!!!
Much love to you friend. Keep on gently moving forward with self care and following your true path in life. In the silence of our being all answers we need to know m, yet phenomena such as hammock serve to remind us of this vast spacious silence within. Always always always Love and gratitude
As someone who struggles with seasonal depression I already know that this album will come at the perfect time for me. Your music has always spoken to me on a level unlike that of any other artist and what it's meant to me over the years can't be put into words. Thank you, sincerely. 💜 Also, this video is INCREDIBLE. The nature shots in particular are larger than life.
yoooo Hammock, you have to tour and run through California after this video. You have been the most influential and impactful band for me for the last 14 years. Seeing you live would be a dream come true. You'd make a grown ass man cry.
Totally agree! After Mysterium, they've had plenty of output that's been more generic, ambient sounds which was quite boring & samey imo, love that this reminds me so much of Raising Your Voice... while still building on it.
Hammock is definitely my favorite band in the whole world. Everything you make me feel is so beautiful. Watching again the work of David Altobelli and Jessica Calleiro with Hammock's music is closing my year in a wonderful way. Thank you for existing.
These two beautiful minded individuals speak my heart, soul and mentality.. Love is an understatement for this “band” Hammock has provided a new beginning to this life everyday since finding them in 2011
Também e uma das minhas bandas favoritas a músicas deles mim faz sentido um misto de sentimentos e emoções ao mesmo tempo tenho muitas saudades dos tempos simples tenho saudade de tudo 😢
That Hammock atmosphere at the beginning is so iconic for this band. You just know you're in for an absolute audio experience. Its like a nostalgic sound that brings you back to their earlier albums. So dang impactful. Just know I'm a fan for life.
I love EVERYTHING you do, Hammock! But this is a whole new level! Sound, visual, emotion!!!!! It was worth waiting so long for a new album to find out that she is head and shoulders above anything you've done. I really like that there are more distorted guitars. At the same time, signature melodies and harmonies from Hammock were preserved. The video was filmed and edited brilliantly. I wanted to drop everything, get behind the wheel and drive off in an unknown direction! Thanks Hammock. It's good that you exist.
2022 is running to it's end. Unfortunately the world is again wounded by human loss and grieve. In my personel life 2022 was a peaceful connection with nature after heartproblems in the previous years. I find my balance again, life was sunny and peaceful and above all all the things what I love came on my path of happiness. 2022 surprises me with new music from Hammock. It was also an sensory explosion to me. A beautiful song leads me to the sun and back. This year was a year of light, a year of much happiness and a year of extremely sunny days like never before. From migrationbirds came close to my home, a lot of displays of noctilucent clouds to purple grey foggy moments, all the beauty came into my heart. Surrounding by my most lovely wife I felt a constant happiness this year in a world sinking in anger and rage. And just now Hammock closes 2022 with some new songs and a new album 'Love in the Void'. How beautiful is that? The title track is exactly what I felt this year in nature: Love in the Void is just everywhere if you open your heart! If you do so nature opens his heart too and you feel love everywhere. I decided to use the album title in one of my new photographic collages because this is exactly what happens to me this year. Thanks Hammock for the music! Majestic like always!
Hammock is from heaven, the music is so epic & full of emotions. It gives me power and optimistic feeling to my body to live here and to my soul to travel through space & galaxies ❤ (Love in the void) is my year music of 2023.
This album is bringing back emotions and sounds from the first couple of hammock releases and I couldn’t be more excited for the full drop in a couple of weeks!
The thing I love about Hammock Is the openness to interpretation. Hammock has carried me through both joy and pain for the last decade and has managed to ignite a different set of emotions and feelings with every repeat. My life waxes and wanes with much love. And many voids. But the songs remain the same faithful tides that pull me out and in, helping me realize that nothing on God's green earth is permanent. Thank you, Hammock. And to those who inspire you.
Wow a beautiful demonstration of the power of music. The way i felt listening through this album was unreal. Thank you for sharing you gift of expression with us🙏
Whenever I listen to Hammock I leave something personal by my side so I can find my way back to my body. I have traveled far and we are loved wherever I go.
Your music has been my sanctuary for years. It's the only music that makes me feel the way it does. You're my favorite band and hearing you create new music makes me so excited for the future. I can't put into words how much I love what you do or how much it's helped me but I can say that it's spoke to my heart in ways that I will never forget. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Amazing. How could all that be stuck to a lonely ball in outer space? It's not, is the simple truthful answer. Those with an open curious mind will see the truth of it.
This is INCREDIBLE. I feel like this track brings together so many of the different sounds and styles that Hammock has developed over the years, combined to perfection 🥰 Can't wait for the album!
An artistic tour de force. The music itself is spectacular. The accompanying video only amplifies it. Yes, you are here. Yes. You ARE. HERE! Thanks guys.

Wow, just wow. That ending from 5:57 is phenomenal. So much emotions in it, I have tears in my eyes. Can't stop listening. Looking foward for the rest of the album. Thank you very much for your work.

Hammock is like therapy for soo many of us. To think how much different my life would be had I not accidentally stumbled upon them back in like 2008.
Found them in 2012❤️My life would be so empty without them.
I come back to them when I'm at my lowest. It gives me peace and resets everything that's going on.
What was the first track you heard from them in 2008? :)

Your music played on loop at the wake of my wife's funeral. I am forever grateful for your music, it's beauty and depth.
I cannot fucking mention enough how criminally underrated this band is. Like my god this music feels like its like from another planet.
Wow, I can't believe they brought back the girl from the other videoclips, very nostalgic!
She's married to one of the members ;)

Can’t wait to go to sleep and wake up to this 🤙
Wow, this is pure art. In a world full of emptiness, Hammock is like a saviour. Timeless
Jesus is The saviour of the world! 💕
You guys were used by God to bring me back to life when I was a teenager. I thank you sm❤❤
Amazing music and cool that it's the same girl from your other videos

That looks like the same girl that was in their videos 10 years ago. If it is, damn did she grow into a beautiful woman.
I was hoping to see it was the original woman from your prior videos, and it was. What another beautiful video! I loved this so much!
Yes, that seems to be Jessica Nicole Collins

unfortunately they don't really tour or do live shows, it's very rare but man I would travel internationally to see them.
5:57 I instantly started crying, I knew what was coming. So beautiful 🥹

I love this style of music from Hammock. Back to their root.
