You could make like a pastry tube with a plastic bag. Fill with yogurt, pudding or whatever. Clip a corner and squeeze into the holes. Might be faster and easier. Worth a try.
Not sure if anyone mentioned but if you tap your mold after filling it, it will fill up the holes. So you won’t have holes in your finished product. They look delicious. I’ll be trying this.
Do you freeze the yogurt just to save freeze drying time? What would happen if you put the unfrozen yogurt in the silicon molds directly into the freeze dryer?
Though the silicon mold will hold up to the temperature I have never tried it. It may take longer as the only surface that will allow moisture to sublimate is the top.

Hi John. I am enjoying your videos, I am new to freeze drying. I'm wondering do the flavors translate in the same load. I noticed you did flavored yogurt with Frozen mixed vegetables, do the vegetables absorb any of the yogurt flavor? I am nervous to do fruit with anything that's not supposed to be sweet.
It has been my experience that if I freeze my food in the freezer overnight before freeze drying I have no cross contamination taste. If I load my freeze dryer with food that is not pre frozen then the taste do transfer for sure
I’m doing something wrong. I made your pudding balls with the taffy in the inside. I put them in the freezer. I were in there 2 weeks because my freezer went down and just got it running. I told them out of the mold and they didn’t pop out very well at all. You couldn’t see the taffy at all. They were very soft not rock hard like yours were. My yogurts started melting as I was taking them out of the molds. Do you think I’m trying to do too many at one time and they were throwing out to quit
If I am reading this right you were trying to remove the frozen balls from the mold but they were soft? If so I have no idea what went wrong, maybe having them thaw out while your freezer was down or something. You do have to work fairly quickly popping them out of the molds and the balls can be quite difficult but I have never had the out of the freezer soft
I just did yogurt and made the mistake of not using low fat. They took forever to freeze dry (more than 36) hours even though I pre-froze them. They also don’t taste great because the fat is left behind and feels unpleasant in your mouth. Live and learn.
Hi John, could you leave the web site of Amazon you got the pans from Thank You
Sure here is my affiliate link for them: amzn.to/2Jt3UlJ

John, for us newbies, please always add your settings to your videos. I appreciate your knowledge and help!
Put the mold into the bag, turn it over and pop them out right into the bag. Faster and they won't warm by touching them.
I need to make these for my great grandson he loves the ones made for babies.
Could you put the Amazon link for the silicone molds please.
I purchased them on Amazon, the ones I used are no longer listed but there are plenty to choose from on Amazon.

@@JohnInBibs my freeze dryer was down. I wonder if they were in my chest freezer to long and the skittles dissolved into the pudding
Forgive me if someone already asked, but do you put O2 absorber and desiccant into the jar that you store them in?
Yes I do. Always now
What brand yogurt did you use? Don't answer if it's already in the comments, didn't see it, but can look again.
This was one of the first videos I made, I am pretty sure I used Yoplait
@@JohnInBibs Thanks!
Hi, isit fine if put all those freeze yogurt cube into the dryer? Won't it melted?

wow, don't know what to say.. I have also heard that Greek Yogurt doesn't do well
I did some yogurt drops and they will take all the moisture from your mouth…😂
I will be making these for my Grand son. Very soon. Will buy some of these trays too.
