"People Are People" was top-rated year after year after year, When this song hit the radio and clubs in 1984 it went through the roof. It made #1 in the UK, Ireland + West Germany.. and Top 10 in Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Sweden and the mighty USA for 3 years 1984, 1985 + 1986. I was a NYC club kid in the mid 80's and this was our theme song. FYI :)
