Seriously though, people who say "Slurs against whites is not the same thing. It doesn't hurt them" they obviously live in the suburbs and have never been stabbed or attacked by groups of racist black people like the MSTofA who believe white people are devils created by Yakub. You get 5 or 6 black men tlking about "Cracka ass motha fucka" while the punch and kick you or stab you. "Oh that can't be racist. Get over it. Stop trying to be oppressed". It happens. I don't know how common it is, but it happens.

For the woman who asked “who was enslaved?”, the answer is: EVERYBODY. Every culture has had slavery, every people have been enslave at some point in history. Ha! I thought the same - I studied the history of slavery as part of my university course and prior to the transatlantic slave trade you had the moors taking European slaves, ghengis khan who raped pillaged and enslaved his way across the globe, serfdom, the Irish who were disenfranchised and enslaved in the Caribbean prior to the transatlantic slave trade being firmly established - sadly for Africans at least- the Irish struggled to acclimatise to the heat and then there was the coolie slave trade and the Filipinos who were traded in Mexico and Peru… I could go on but I think it’s probably only me who is interested tbh. I think the main point I’m trying to make is that everyone could be mad for historical wrongs but why would you want it to eat you up, you just try and ensure that your children have better. The thing is, no alive today has been directly affected by the transatlantic slave trade and i know historical scars run deep but no alive today is responsible for those wrongs. Equally, not all European countries were involved in enslaving people, in fact, there were only 7 countries who were.

And most white people are too afraid of being labeled racist to push back against any of it. Explain please. I don't know much about US history, but I just did a quick Google search and all I got was that white Europeans were enslaved in Europe, in North African regions by Muslims and in North America by white Europeans (this one came up as indentured servants which was nowhere near as bad as slavery overall)

    • @mgheichert
      @mgheichert 8 месяцев назад

@@shaniecemurray1687The WHITE SLAVE TRADE TO AFRICA began over 800 years BEFORE the African slave trade to America.
GOOGLE the MOORS invasion of S Europe in 711 AD, they occupied (colonized but that is only if you are white and NO OTHER COLONY in the world lasted as long) parts of SPAIN for 800 years.
The Moors sent MILLIONS of white slaves from S Europe to Africa (2X more white women as white men) and the MOORS raped so many S European women for so many generations *S Europeans tend to have black hair, brown eyes and olive skin, NOT what Africans PRIZED.*
The MOORS never gave up slavery and freed the whites, the MOORS were forced out and the Spanish got off their knees and built an EMPIRE (as did Portugal).
Those not so white Europeans were likely the reason for the BARBARY SLAVE TRADE. *Google the Barbary slave trade and the Barbary Pirates.* *BEFORE AND DURING THE AFRICAN SLAVE TRADE TO AMERICA,* other AFRICANS raided the coasts of Europe as far N as ICELAND to find white women with LIGHT HAIR EYES AND SKIN to capture and sell as slaves in America.* White men who fought to stop their families or neighbors from being taken and were UNLUCKY enough to LIVE were made slaves by Africans too. Africans had practiced slavery on fellow Africans for millennia BEFORE so
they had black slaves constantly delivered to their Local African SLAVE MARKET for almost nothing so they didn't NEED whites slaves. They wanted whites and were PREPARED TO RISK WAR to get them. The RAIDS on European coasts mostly ended in 1805 when whites won the 1st BARBARY WAR. Africans were forced to stop taking NEW white slaves but not to release existing slaves.
*PROOF that the African slave trade to America was caused by the white slave trade to Africa can be seen when in 1807 both ENGLAND & AMERICA CHOSE to make the African slave trade to America illegal, like in Africa EXISTING slaves were not freed.* In 1808 England started the WEST AFRICAN SQUADRON that for 60 years patrolled the ports and coasts of West Africa to stop Africans being shipped to the Americas. Thousands of white sailors died of African diseases, many times that were CRIPPLED after the disease and unable to work. They spent the rest of their short lives in poverty. BUT the squadron rescued hundreds of thousands of Africans and released them into relative safety. *THIS WAS THE START OF ENGLAND WORKING TO END SLAVERY WORLDWIDE.* Only whites chose to end slavery, the rest of the races were forced OR BRIBED to end slavery. Many African leaders had to be BRIBED. It might explain why TODAY there are over 10 MILLION African slaves in Africa. Africans captured by Africans, sold to Africans and worked to death in Africa. AS LONG AS WHITES ARE NOT THE OWNERS, AFRICANS SEEM OK WITH SLAVERY. *African Americans TODAY still WHINE about slavery whites chose to end over 150 years ago while REFUSING TO EVEN TALK TODAYS 10 MILLION AFRICAN SLAVES for fear their claims for restitution would be impossible. SLAVERY HAS ALWAYS been an important part of their culture and their Ancestors would have been SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE or SACRIFICED IN AFRICA. Shouldn't those who are SLAVES TODAY be of more importance than those who died FREE generations ago?
Africans PRIZED EUNUCHS who were worth 7X MORE than a whole slave. MOST boys and young men who were castrated losing their cock and balls without anesthetic DIED. Africans never cared if the African or white slave being castrated DIED as long as some lived.

If you say and do nothing others will fill the void (so to speak). Nothing changes when we say and do nothing, only when we take the brave step towards being better as a society.
Also, you are only seeing highlights, clips, videos of the bad things and the real life here in the US (California for me) is far better than you are thinking. Many, many, people will stop and help a stranger broke down on the side of the road, lend a hand when someone is down on their luck, help a neighbor, give to the poor, help a single mother when she comes up short at the cash register. The good far out weighs the bad here in the US... it just doesn't get the clicks like the bad stuff. Remember, this is a very large country with a diverse people and I do agree we have work to do to be better but it only gets better by DOING BETTER.

I am a white Slavic person, born in Poland in 1974. Both of my grandparents were enslaved during WWII. My Grandmother was a slave worker to a German farmer in Bavaria for over 4 years, my Grandfather was w slave worker in a German Coal Mine in Nordrhein Westfalen for over 5 years. They were called subhuman and were treated worse than any animal as they presented no value to their German masters, being easily replaceable anytime, since there were millions enslaved Slavic people available. Any wrongdoing was punished by a bullet in the head immediately.
Do I therefore hate Germans? Hell no. No German person who wasn't a part of the system back then has anything to do what their ancestors did. You know who taught me this? I am 100% white. I just quit a job working for the local Native American organization, for how rampant the racism was in the workplace. Cracker was quite a common term to hear when they referred to me. My hearing sucks, but I heard it like they wanted me to hear it. Colonizer, wasichu, or wasichi (means 'white person' but not a friendly term), hick, hillbilly, etc. People would complain about anything they could in hopes to get me fired, or to quit. There were people who treated me like something yucky they had stepped in. I have never been racist, or discriminative to anyone. I have stood up for the marginalized my whole life, as I have marginalized my whole life. It sucks, it hurts, it is wrong.

As a member of the white person southern club, I can 10000% confirm that the black Aunties make hands down the best potato salad. My own mother may smack me from here to next Sunday for saying hers isn't the top tear, but Miss Emma's potato salad was the absolute bomb. In case anyone is wondering, no Miss Emma wasn't someone who watched me or a staff member, she was one of the wealthiest women in the town I grew up in. My grandmother was a beautician who exclusively catered to the elite of the society where I grew up. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
To answer your question, Yes, I have been called many derogatory and disgusting names, but it wasn't until I left the South and moved to the Midwest that I began to hear these things. When I was in New England, for the most part, the races got along. In the Mid-South (where I'm from), things have improved a great deal, and anyone caught degrading another person for the color of their skin, would have had their tail end torn up. The Midwest, it's a different beast. I've been called many things, I've been called racist for being in line when a black person walked into the door at Starbucks and I just waited in line instead of... not sure what.
Please don't misunderstand me, I don't hate anyone. I'm Gen X, and I still subscribe to the mantra, "judge a person by the content of their character, not the color of their skin." I will also admit, that a lot of this just gets an eye roll from me. Racism exists, but the term has lost its punch. Inconvenience IS NOT racism, it's a bloody inconvenience.

We are a white family living in London, United Kingdom.
My husband was called ‘white trash’ numerous times, this seems to be the derogative term over here. I had an incident when I was about to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing with three young children, there was a young black girl driving the car that was approaching us, she slowed that which, gave me an impression she’s going to stop for us but as we stepped onto the road, she suddenly sped up with a smirk on her face.
It was dangerous and I was shocked.
It seems to be the problem among British Black people. Those who came recently from Africa or Jamaica are really sweet lovely people, work hard and are well mannered.
The future belongs to our children. We need to teach them to be kind to one another so that one day they won’t have to even think of race differences and take each person as they come.
    Sending love ❤️

Anti-white sentiment is crazy to me. I'm Black and I had friends of every background growing up in the 2000s-2010s. None of my non-Black friends ever said a racist thing toward me. Not even a little bit. There was never any dumb, stereotypical jokes. They never bullied me. They give me rides, lent me cash when I needed it, invited me to the movies, and even invited me to their parents beach house. No, I wasn't rich. I had a single mom and no job. I was grungy and didn't even have that much clothes. Even the preppy kids were nice to me. This girl's mom even let me come over to her house to donate some clothes to me.
It seems like everything changed around 2015 -2020. I feel like most anti-white people have never actually tried to make friends with anyone outside their bubble. They already have an "us vs them" mentality. All I see is a lot of insecure people taking out their unhappiness on people who aren't bothering them. Happy people don't bully others.
Anyway, if anyone actually gets this far: Just know, my first thought when I meet someone isn't their race. I just want to know if we have anything in common. You're personality, your interests, if you like food as much as I do, that's all I care about. Yes, you're heritage is important and I love learning about it if you're inclined to share. Otherwise, who the f*ck cares. I love everyone and I *mean* that.

The only thing that should matter when meeting someone is if they are an asshole or not and sometimes you can learn that really quick with some people.
The volume of "ism's" definitely got turned way up around Donald Trump times and it sucks but I also think internet algorithms have amplified what was already there. Iv called it "the Facebook effect" but it can be any mass media. People start to see one side far more than the other and start to forget it's not really that bad (or good in some cases).
It can however get that bad if people don't start stepping back and realizing they are being manipulated, that's the danger in it all.
Always give people a chance and they will show you who they really are sooner than later.

Racism also means (by the literal dictionary definition) prejudice, discrimination and/or antagonism by an individual, group, et cetera. This means that a racial slur (antagonism, et cetera) and xenophobia (discrimination, prejudice, et cetera) such as calling someone a cracker and/or excluding them from spaces due to their skin color counts as racism. I mean the literal definition of racial slur is "Racial slurs, often called racial epithets, are words or phrases that refer to members of racial and ethnic groups in a derogatory manner" and the meaning of derogatory is "showing a critical or disrespectful attitude". Which even furthers the point of saying that racism can be done against any race no matter what your ancestors may have experienced or done in the past.
These people who race shame forget that you just can't have your cake and eat it, and, that you can't pick and choose what is and what isn't racist. When did racism become an exclusive? Because last I checked the literal dictionary, that isn't how racism works.

It's the culture people grow up in that perpetuates racism. Primarily within the inner cities. The cities that have more government influence and bigger corporations, appear to have more anti-evetything being pushed. I'm not saying it's the govt or the companies. It has to do with wherever the most work is, the more dense the population, which means the closer living quarters of diversity. Diversity is good. Same here! I ran away after my parents split up & I would run away from every foster home. Eventually I was taken from the suburbs & put in a group home downtown. The school was 80% -90% black & sooo different from my school in the suburbs. So much so it was actually a major culture shock. Luckily I’m extremely outgoing & enjoy making friends & talking to people but it only took the first day to realize all the white kids at the school get bullied. The second day that I got asked, “why were you talking to my man?!” 🤦🏼‍♀️ as if I had any interest!?!! I had no idea about black culture, nilch nada.. so I started getting bullied the first week. The girls hated me for talking to the guys, they all called me racist for wearing doc martens which were trendy at the time. & the school before that the entire 7th & 8th grade tried to fight me because I apparently “came from a racist school”!Well, I only stayed for 3 weeks before I ran away again, but let me tell you something.. I wasn’t racist before that.. but I was after. I couldn’t stand a lot of black girls for a long time after that cuz I thought they all hated me & I swear to god I would even get into verbal arguments with them at McDonald’s!!! (for cussing behind my back about my mentally handicapped cousin taking too long to order & another time 3 total stranger bishes mocking my new Nike’s in the parking lot!! I thought they were evil selfish bullies who were only good at starting fights & being racist. I kept feeling like that till my late 20’s when I had my own child & realized that all children are born innocent. None should be judged by the colour of their skin OR by actions of OTHERS of their race. The action of so many, white, black & all colours proves this. Unfortunately as long as there is so many evil people, good people can’t prove their point. My mother had taught me to love everyone no matter what they look like, it really makes me wonder what is going on in those kids homes? They must have parents being racist in front of them. I can’t even imagine purposely raising a child to hate & to think they are better than someone else. It’s strange cuz on TV church is portrayed as being a massive part of black culture, but the way kids act at school I seriously question the validity of that notion…

@@MissEddieBlueKawaiiKrafts sounds pretty accurate for the culture in the area. Anywhere there is a high majority of any one people, and a tiny minority of another people, this will happen. It's not one sided. This happens in every country, and culture. If you have a Muslim person attending a primarily Christian school (not an actual Christian school, but one where the vast majority of the community are believers) the same thing will happen. I have to say as a 23 year old gen z we definitely are not all the same, alot of us were raised similar to 90s kids and were raised without mobiles etc. Alot of the problem is as you say it, the kids who achieve fame on social media these days weren't raised properly or think that its their whole life and everyone is like that... especially in America. In Aus this stuff just is not happening, teens are teens and still have awkward phases etc. Its just something to think about.

I'm black. I was born into a family of black college graduates who were doctors and teachers and spoke "white" American English. My father was an English teacher who played classical music as a pianist. Getting there, he worked two jobs and finished his degree work in night school, so we were poor and at age six he moved us into the projects. Kids are often rough on anyone different and they seemed to hate me. We moved to a new neighborhood where the majority were white upper middle class and the blacks there were just as hateful to me as those in the projects. Whites on the other hand were kind, friendly and welcoming. Blacks in the main seem to hate other blacks who break ranks with the street thugs and the culture of ignorance and violence that they embrace. It's a loser culture and repulsive. The proof of this is that every black who achieves financial success immediately moves away from it. Often as far as they can get.

I grew up with people who were much like your mom. I understood why they felt that anger and had a "fuck it why not" additude but it only keeps the cycle of hate going.
I've been angry and over it and have had to think about the people I know who are not like the person calling me the names. I respect so and so, so I'm not calling their race out like that or giving them a blanket judgment because it's not every person in that race being this way towards me.
Just like I'm not apart of the groups of white people who hate other races and don't want to be lumped in with them, I don't want to do that to others because of a few ignorant assholes.

There is a double standard, though. I remember one time in school I did say a racial slur back, after weeks of one student calling me names like cracker and stupid white bitch. I had told the teachers multiple times, and no one did anything until I said something back. Then I was punished, and the school had a whole newsletter about racism.
I held a lot of resentment for a long time after that. I could be getting bullied and treated poorly, and no one cared, and I couldn't retaliate in any way. I had to just take it because I'm white, and white people are "horrible."

Black people should not just assume that all white people are racist because that is not true at all. Even in the past the majority of racists were in the South and while there may have been some in the North it wasn't the norm. But over the years white people that I know and just in society in general, have been so consumed with "anti racism", for example, I was raised to not judge by color, and I'm Gen X so my generation even made MORE strides to crush it and I thought we really truly had. But politicians can make any situation about race and when they really want to create chaos in our society that is what they go to, race. And now, they act like we have not made any progress and it is screwing people up who are weak minded in all races.

I once told the story of how i found out what the n-word was. I was 4 and in early nursery (kindergarten for Americans) and i heard another kid say that word against another kid. When that person got severely punished i was confused because I'd never heard that word before. I asked my teacher what it meant but I didn't know you weren't supposed to say it if you're white like myself so i said it. At the time i got atleast 20 threats against me, people also calling me selfish, coloniser etc. What really stood out to me was the person who went on a full rant about how white people are ignorant and uneducated when i was litterally attempting to educate myself 😭😭 i replied to one of these people asking how i should've known not to say it and they said "yh well black kids know what that word is at 4." Basically saying i was in the wrong because nobody had told FOUR YEAR OLD me what that word was. I didn't even know what racism was 😭

What's also hilarious about this is that at the same time, "white people" refers to ALL white people regardless of where they're from and their ancestors complete lack of participation in colonizing or slavery.
Sorry, what did people from Finland or Greece or *insert completely innocent country* do to you Americans? All whites are the same everywhere apparently.
I now live in the USA, I'm not American, my family isn't from North America and I'm told to shut up consistently and that my opinion doesn't matter and the fact that I don't like being called racist names or hear racist comments makes me somehow racist.
Try going to Asia or the Middle East or whatever and see how un-racist and accepting those non-white countries are. But, nobody ever talks about that. Only whites are the problem.

I'm a white part asian Russian American & I know that sounds like a lot but basically I was born in Russia so I have a part of me that is specifically Mandarin so I can tan really dark but if I'm not outside I stay pretty white. Then I moved to The USA since I was adopted by a Hispanic & white family but mostly grew up with knowing more of the Hispanic family members around but was never taught Spanish. The what people would normally say is "a normal white, blonde, blue eyed female", right. So when people met me they immediately already made up their minds that whatever I had to say would be either "oh that's just dumb blonde white gurl talk," or just wouldn't take me seriously, or flat out was racist towards me like "how dare I try to start any conversation with them or befriend them." I am a very friendly person so I'm friends with everyone & some people just flat out don't even respect me literally because of my looks. I was not only "adopted", "don't know any Spanish in a mostly Spanish family", "don't look anything like my counterparts" & "a immigrant." & I can't tell you how many times I've been put in boxes by all kinds of people & how much I could relate with so many people cause I've been there but just cause "I'm a white female," "oh no there's no way you've been through anything, you have it so good." like just cause I'm white don't mean shit. Another fun fact I'm also a lesbian & not all the gays are good people either. I'm calling everyone out. And I have be disrespected & discriminated against by all kinds of people, black, Asian, other whites, gay, trans, strait & even Hispanics. You name it I have a story for each & every one of them. So when I hear the blatent disregard for what we go through it frustrates me to the core. People can be the kindest & most friendly people ever but one look at you & all of a sudden "they figured you out."? No! Like ho the hell do y'all have the right to tell me who I am & what I've done if y'all haven't even had a full respectful conversation with me? Like excuse me. I'll give you some examples of just the tip of the iceberg of what I've had to deal with, I was bullied all through out pre-school & grade 6 because I was learning the English language still & struggled with vocally pronouncing certain words & even white people would say to me, "oh you're not really white,." I've had some random dude I never met or talked to at my high school who was hispanic blately called me "white trash", "dumb blonde," & I've never met him. I've had a gay friend that called me homophobic because I don't agree with any public affection like when a couple kiss in public cause I don't see it as respectful to the people around you weither you're gay or straight. I've had a trans friend tell me I'm transphobic & racist because I didn't want to date them. When I tanned really dark I was darker than my mother who was Hispanic & she's dark so my friends would tease me that I'm not dark enough but on the other side when I'm not outside as much like in the winter time when I get lighter & I looked more white my other friends would tease me like I'm not dark enough. Like the list goes on. At the end of the day anyone can be discriminiatory & be discriminated against no matter what you look like or what ideas you hold. Stop with this insanity of blatant ignorance. You don't know people's story so before you go out judging & acting a fool, think before you say a word or do anything & if you know you can't do say anything & walk away. I'm done with it.

We had done nothing to those people to provoke or deserve anything like that. I remember when we first moved in, i was quietly playing at the park when a girl around my age maybe a little older came up behind me to drag me by my hair to jump me with her friends. I didn't even know who she was, I hadn't even looked in her direction but people will tell me I deserved it, me an 7 year old little girl at the time along with my 6 year old brother deserved it. So much to say. For starters I as a white person has never seen nor have ever eaten potato salad with raisins, however I have heard older like 70 year old women begin to add raisins why idk. Also, potato salad originated from Germany with potatoes, boiled eggs, and herbs no raisins. The word “cracker,” is a slur that was used towards Celtic immigrants (Scots-Irish)as a way to describe them as unruly, and ill-mannered. Just like “honky” is a slur towards Hungarian immigrants. Etymology is amazing.

As a Sicilian/Spanish woman I was bullied relentlessly in 7th and 8th grade by a group of black girls. The only time I've ever been bothered or called racial slurs were always by black girls, if I'm being honest. This has happened to all of my Spanish cousins as well, and it was always black girls. Black people can definitely be racist. I'm 42 years old so 7th grade was a long time ago and it was happening back then, so this is by no means a new phenomenon. I've lived in the same city, in the same inner city neighborhood my entire life and know a lot of people, people of every race and class. I have black people in my family. I have a niece who's half black and her father has been in our family for a very long time (He's known a family for 30 years as we've all gone to the same schools our entire lives and grew up in the same neighborhood). I don't view all black people to be the same. Just like all white people are not the same and just like all Spanish people aren't the same. Being prejudiced/racist toward another group of people is possible for anyone, regardless of their race.
Also, Being both White and Hispanic (even though Sicilian is of Latin descent, for some reason were still called white🤷🏽‍♀), Cracker is just as insulting as Spic.

@@enlosluceros7236 I mean she says Sicilians are Latin but she’s still called white because of course Sicilians and Spaniards are white Europeans of Latin(Roman) descent (seeing as that is where the Latin part comes from in Latin America). I understand in the US saying you’re Spanish doesn’t necessarily mean you’re saying that you are of Spanish descent (which is ridiculous btw you wouldn’t call all English speakers English) but a person from a Spanish speaking country in the Americas.

It's really sad. I'm white and grew up poor af in all black neighborhood's in the 80s and early 90s. I rarely experienced racism back then from either side. Now as an adult 42 yr old woman, in the last few years I've been called so many horrible names and experienced so much asinine racism is insane. Then i get called racist just because I'm white. I have a mixed child. A very mixed granddaughter. Friends of every race. Yet suddenly after all of these years I'm racist when I'm the one experiencing racism. It hurts, and it makes me angry. We grew up being told you judge people on the content of their character, not the color of their skin. I bet poor Dr King is rolling in his grave smh. People now fighting FOR everything he fought against.

Me and u both. I'm white grew up poor in a predominantly black community at the same time as u and we never even discussed our differences or racism. My friends parents treated me like family just as my dad treated all my black friends like family. It didn't matter what color we were, nobody cared. We looked out for each other. The fact that it's changed so drastically is not only scary but it also shows that there's some social engineering going on behind the scenes. Politicians and media seem to want us divided and it's no secret as to why. When we aren't unified then corruption can run rampant. It's really that simple.

I am white and I was talking to a black person around my age when I was 18 or 19 about how “to me” it’s racist to call me cracker, I was telling them about someone i encountered who was calling me that a while ago. They said “it’s not racist that was just someone being mean or having a bad day, everyone encounters mean people sometimes in their lives”. So I asked them “what if someone called you a derogatory term based on your race”? They said “well that’s actually someone being racist”.
So just because I’m white I am supposed to believe that every person who calls me a derogatory term used only for white people is just someone being an asshole or having a bad day not that they’re racist?
It really confused me at the time and I actually thought that I was in the wrong for even thinking someone calling me cracker is racist for many years.
