Ordered my long awaited (since I was a kid; 30 years ago) Top Force from a company overseas. Shipping said 3-4 business days, which over this pandemic was amazing since their parts took 2-3 weeks. Box arrived and it was crushed like yours. What a sinking feeling in your gut. Opened the box and my Top Force box was slightly dented and I am a collector. Tried to iron out the box, but to no avail. Hung it on my wall with my other recent purchases and it's not too bad from afar.
"Why do I feel this way about my shipping service" may have perhaps been more appropriate The quality of shipping surely isn't of great interest or relevance to the viewer...
USPS shipping has been horrible since covid. I've got parts that tracking said arrived in Detroit a month ago. The USPS hub there is closed because everyone has covid, so who knows if and when I'll get my parts in NW Ohio..
Yeah I admit it's rather alarming to have paid good money for something and get a damaged package in delivery. My first time buying an rc from Ailey Express, which was recently, the main box inside the protective packing was pretty dinged up. Seeing as I work in the distribution industry I see first hand on how damage happens so I didn't sweat it too much. As long as the main product wasn't damaged I was fine with it.
My mom works as a packager (is that the right word?) and recently a toy car had it's box damaged. She called her supervisor and told him you can't ship stuff like that to people. He just shrugged and told her to pack it.
Hi I have an original Kyosho Beetle 2WD standing. I have tried to search a bit on what the price is on such a car. Do you know what such a car is worth today. Regards Martin
Thanks for your comment. To be honest it is hard to say. The new rereleased Beetle, if it were available was priced at $269 but as far as an original I'm really not sure since I do not see to many of them for sale. Post it for sale at the price you want. There are plenty of people who are always looking for vintage RC and will pay top dollar especially if it is in good condition. If you get no bites in the first few days you know you priced it too high.
I had my old Kyosho BMW kit almost damaged as well. The Shipping company had a damaged package of hand sanitizer leaking all over it. Luckily it was wrapped in plastic by the seller.
I work in logistics and from my experience, those bubble air packs are always the reason for damaging contents. Bubble packs crush or push items through the tape of the box. Crumpled up brown paper is way better because it gives or absorbs shock. Btw anyway you can tell us who the shipper is?
its important to let the merchant and the shipper know- what happens to this stuff even when ultimately you are able to keep it- I recently had a RC car not even delivered because it was damaged so bad
My shipping nightmare is just cars and parts lost for weeks. I have parts right now hit 3 post offices in the state, then leave to another state!?! They literally passed my house 3 times.
Sooo... the disappointment isn’t with the product as the thumbnail suggests... sooo clickbait. Still understand your frustration, I’d be really pissed too. But don’t clickbait your viewers man....
Ahh, yeah, I would’ve been disappointed too. Even more than you maybe, as I keep my (Tamiya) boxes in the hobby room (looks great and great for spares).
J Mcg LOL..It was actually FedEx that delivered it. It was my only bad experience. I guess there is a first for everything. I never had an issue with with them before.
Clickbait and utter bs. Don't waste your time watching this video. It's just whining about a shipping damage and absolutely no enjoyable or valuable information or whatsoever.

That sucks! Well, the car is not damaged like you say so that's the best part. I had a Striker chassis damaged in shipping and it totalled the car.
Sorry about the box but enjoy the build. I love mine. I am looking for a set of Jconcepts tribute wheels...no where to be found!

I hate box deliver to me damage too, but what can you do!?

Nice Kit 😎👌🏻 Unfortunately Postage can let us down. I had $500 worth of Shapeways Parts lost recently! Lucky Shapeways reprinted the order
Wrt the Tamiya labeled box - a tank perhaps?
You got quite the conundrum.

You dun well to get a kit, and the one that you wanted, box a bit of a bummer, car looks good!
I would still like it.
So the Tamiya box is a Bruiser I bet.
8:25 prob Sand Scorcher :)
That’s cruel making us wait 😂
So a 9 minute video with a click bait title crying about shipping damage? Seriously?!?!
Nooooooo, thats wrong, no teasing😭
Ask to be refunded the shipping cost and call it a day.
THE TITLE IS CLICK BAIT.
Ups sucks at everything they do. FedEx is better, but ups just sucks.
