Hey y’all! We’re on the road headed to New York, so we thought it’d be fun to share this video from a couple months back that we never posted. The vintage clothing is so pretty 😮 We’re filming dive videos on our road trip and can’t wait to share them once we get home again! Hope you’re all having a great day and see you again soon. Thanks!
I was yelling at the screen "don't forget the lids". Those are even more popular because you can't buy the replacements for those old units. We rehab/restore old all in one stereo units/components like you found. There is a market for them because vinyl is still popular and cassettes are making a comeback. I am so glad you saved them.
I have LOVED this vlog and the vintage clothes and record player and cassette and radio deck looks like one my brother's had , I was a child/ teenager in 70's England and had such nostalgia you won't have problems selling any if that stuff ❤ carry on diving ❤❤❤ ps love bones he reminds of my cat blackie that I had as a child 😊
Yes I hope they see this. Before there were plugs there were... frayed wires lol ... even up into the 90s... usually a pinch point connection in later days where u lift a little red or black pc and shove the wire in... but I bet that system still works. Glad they got the different pcs.
Yeah I wanted to share with Kelly that those frayed wires aren't broken. They need to go on back of the speakers to work. I'm glad you let her know... Hope it works?
I nominate you 2 for being the king & queen of recycling. Think of all the good stuff that gets tossed everyday in every city around the planet. We are drowning in our own wastefulness.
My husband got that Guns of Navarone play set for his birthday one year. It was his favorite toy, ever. He pretended he was sick the next day so he could stay home and play with it. 😆
Yellow romper is very much something worn to play tennis in. I was born in 1962 and those clothes look like ones my mom wore in the 70's Thank you for caring and sharing❣️
The tricycle is amazing. Too bad you didn’t take the red one as well. Even with pieces missing. I remember having a short set just like that when I was a little girl in the 70s. I remember my mother having outfits like the other sets there too. The record player arm was made like that back in the day. Easy fix with a new cord. So many awesome finds.
My day goes fab.....when I see your videos.......it goes hmmmmm when I miss u. U r my most favourite of all dumpster divers. In fact, i have stopped completely watching other dumpster divers. Please make my day and having everyday a dive
Nice haul, those stereos could be worth some money if they work I know I wouldn't mind having that Panasonic Receiver. Mr. Bones made me go AWWWW he is such a sweet boy, pets, cuddles, and scritches for Mr Bones ❤❤❤
Awesome vintage clothes. I just looked them up you can get pretty good money out of some of them of course it all depends on style but people are loving that style nowadays 😁 my daughters would definitely wear them.
Wow, you really found some great vintage items!!! The record player and speakers were really cool!!! I have to mention that I feel bad that I fell asleep 3 times trying to watch this video. I had cataract surgery this morning on my left eye. So, I'm a bit loopy and tired now, but I always enjoy watching your videos, and I didn't want to miss any of it! Right now, my kitty, Bing, is sleeping next to me. He is such a sweetie! Hi Bones!!
Hello Alex, and Kelly-I am over 60 and have never dry cleaned anything-hand wash in woolite, if they still make it. A couple of the pant suits look to be like polyester. I have cleaned items like that as well by hand and in machine. The trick for me was cold water and dry in dryer mildly and remove before any creases set. you must keep and eye on them.
Wow! That Aquarius print is selling online for anywhere from $75 to over $100. Also, it’s good you grabbed the speakers. Those old systems need speakers to be able to listen to the music. My son restores old radios / stereos so that was a nice save for someone.
Wow, you got some very nice vintage clothes in this haul, definitely 1970’s style. You don’t need to dry clean all those clothes, just the ones that are wool or rayon. The rest you can wash in cold water and hang to dry.
Kelly, will you be selling the clothes? What's your plan? They appear to be worthy, expensive, and great quality! SAVE THAT CASHMERE- Can be easily mended brilliantly, or upcycled into a refashioned garmet, home decor (lumbar pillow), etc.
haha this is great you guys are like archeologists finging King Tuts closet. fantastic. such fun, 1970s is what I see, for a young married woman who has a job.
I was born in 1962 so my mom and friends would have worn clothes like those to work. My mom worked in a bank so dressing nice was important. Now if you find bellbottoms or tie die from late ‘70’s that’s more my era. lol 😂 🌻✌🏼🌻✌🏼💕Brown outfit was s maturnity(?) clothes maybe some others too ! 👍🏽💕🐾💕🐾
Our neighbors had a black cat like yours that loved to do that, I nicknamed him “roll around.” And he would come when I called him that. The vintage clothes were outstanding! Loved that brown 2 piece
Awesome finds , I had one of those ropers back in the day when i was younger..LOL Awesome older clothes. I would look them up you might get some decent money for them..
Im not sure those are broken frayed wires on the record player. The wires are how it would connect to a rack system. The wires get wrapped around the connection and tightened on with a screw on top of them. Or, theres a place to stick the wires between kind of clamps Check the back of the speakers and see what the connections on the back look like.
I could be wrong but I think the record player sits on top of the cassette radio and the stripped wires are screwed into one of the places in the back of the cassette radio. We used to have one . Ours had like buttons you pulled doy and the wires inserted into it .
From someone who graduated in the 60’s from high school, the clothes definitely look like the late 50’s to the late 60’s. Gingham fabric was very popular in the late 50’s and early 60’s.
6:10 I know it's something you forget as soon as you get home but YES I am ALL for the WD-40 fund for the green and blue grabbers... They have developed quite the squeaky personality...

There’s some people who would love to rock those vintage dresses. 👗

I wore them 😊

The record player hooks to the back of the receiver using the wire. Same with the speakers. Women's 70's pantsuits, my mom wore those lol.

Glad you got those vintage speakers..they go with the record player.
That tennis racket is before my time & I was born in the early 1960’s . Definitely vintage!!
Those clothes are amazing! Wow, straight outta the Brady Bunch 😊
My husband got that Guns of Navarone play set for his birthday one year. It was his favorite toy, ever. He pretended he was sick the next day so he could stay home and play with it. 😆

I agree, definitely 60s-early 70s. I'm 55, and these clothes look familiar 😂
Everything screams 70's. Good finds.
Whew. Glad you saved the turntable and speakers. I still use mine from the 70’s. lol
Back in the day Panasonic was the cheaper of stereo systems but still fun to see ! Nostalgia!

That yellow romper reminds me of 1970's physical education outfits. I can't wait to see y'alls trip videos.❤

I would have taken all the big wooden objects out and dug and then put that stuff back in.
Wow! That Aquarius print is selling online for anywhere from $75 to over $100. Also, it’s good you grabbed the speakers. Those old systems need speakers to be able to listen to the music. My son restores old radios / stereos so that was a nice save for someone.

The clothes is probably from the late 70s to middle 80s. My granny wore clothes like that. Great find. I love the old things.
The college theater department would be able to use those clothes
I was born in 1962 so my mom and friends would have worn clothes like those to work. My mom worked in a bank so dressing nice was important. Now if you find bellbottoms or tie die from late ‘70’s that’s more my era. lol 😂 🌻✌🏼🌻✌🏼💕Brown outfit was s maturnity(?) clothes maybe some others too ! 👍🏽💕🐾💕🐾

That Snowy plug is most likely an RV power plug.
