- Aight folks. The curtains fall. I present to you the newest addition to my Audi collection: The 2009 Audi S8 V10 (D3).
I have always been a huge fan of the Audi S8. In all its now 5 generations. But there has always been one that stood out more than the others. The D3 generation with it’s insane 5.2L V10 engine from Lamborghini Gallardo. I always wanted to own one some day, and now I finally do. I also think it’s one of the best looking S8s ever, with a beautiful luxury sedan design. This car has so much soul and the quality is just ridiculous. The just don’t make them like this anymore.
It has a very unique Audi exclusive interior with three tone color of white, maroon and beige. You can see all the details in the RUclips video. The car is in absolute top condition. A friends friend was leaving the country and he had owned the car for years and took care of it very well. I knew the cars history and knew how well maintained it was. One thing led to another, and I felt it was my duty to save this car so it wasn’t bought by somebody that wouldn’t care for it and run it to the ground. I don’t want to wrote too much, so I’ll tell you all about the car in this video. Please enjoy!

My is 2003 preface (4.0 V8 TDI, sport), but in well maintained condition, and most people has been guessing 2014 year of production (of course not audi fans).

I got a C6 S6 V10 earlier this year. It’s my first car and part of my dream car collection! Love it so much! I used to drive it to school and everyone would hear the low rumble of the engine as i pass by. They’d stare in confusion because they had no idea why an old Audi would sound like that. I loved when people asked me what engine it has, some people who knew a thing or two about cars would come up to me and ask “V8?” There’s something amazing about watching their jaws drop when they learn its a V10. I love how subtle and unsuspecting it is. Perfect sleeper. Never gonna give it up.

Congratulations. What a unique color combination. I agree with you on this car. I purchased mine new back in 2007 when first delivered to the US. I think 300 units per year then. I ordered Silver with Black Leather and Carbon Fiber. Timeless. I get people asking still if its a new model. Lots of Thumbs UPs from young people seeing the V10 on side. Luc Besson loves the D3 for his movies. This car is unique because it was made to bring buyers back to Audi. I don't think Lamborghini was happy seeing the Gallardo engine in this car. Engine now available only in an R8. Carbon buildup is only issue with the direct fuel induction. Highly recommend a BGI Fuel induction service annually with oil change to abate the issue. It works...

That’s one of a kind car😍I was searching for an a8 last year but I found something else, I own an a6 c5 from 99’ with 4.2 v8 petrol engine, every time when I’m driving that car put a smile on my face, if I will afford I will never stop to buy rare cars, it’s a beautiful passion but unfortunately almost lost nowadays…

First time viewing your content, and instantly subscribed, clearly you are no rank amateur! Stylish and tastefully shot streetscapes, all of the filming locations were first class. Many people wouldnt even realise the amount of time effort and patience a person has to have in order to wait for precise and perfect lighting conditions before filming these visually stunning images. If I had to make just one suggestion it's in the mismatched soundtrack vs content. I felt like some more time could have been spent on finding the perfect background soundtrack to match the car and the theme, but it's just my personal opinion. My favorite A8 gen and the best sounding Audi, love the new car!
My love for Audi started in 2015 when I started practice driving for my drivers license. The driving school had a 2013 Audi A3 and I just instantly fell in love with the SUPER linear charateristics of Audi, you know *exactly* what the car will do for every little input you give it. So my first Audi was an old A4 B5 (-98) 1.8T, man I loved that car soooo much, even though it was almost 20 years old when I bought it, the interior felt great and it looked really good too. After 4 years of owning it, it was time to change so I started looking at newer A4s and completely fell in love with the B7 A4s, and then in July, I got a great deal on a 2006 A4 with the 2.0TS engine, 220hp, in quattro with full s-line package in and out, its amazing and will keep this car for years as its value will increase since its already becoming a cult car, I feel like the B7 is the perfect mix between analog and digital, its a real drivers car

Great video, i own a rsq3 2014 with stage 1 tuning. I love to drive every day with a big big smile. Sound and speed its great. And there are no many of them in the Netherlands.Feul is ok 1lit on 14km on highway.But i get 1lit on 9km.

Nice car. I am surprised the 0-100 time 6:12 is 6 seconds. I thought it would be at least 1 second faster. Your particular car appears very well maintained. I'm unsure if it will ever become a collector's car but certainly an enthusiast car. The problem with the S8 being a collector's car is that the car was originally marketed toward executives who likely replace their cars every 1 or 2 years and possibly only lease the S8 before moving on to another new vehicle. A big part of the appeal for this customer base is driving the newest and best equipped vehicle. Technology changes quickly and maintenance requirements on a technically advanced vehicle begin accumulating quickly. Original drivers do not want to deal with either of those issues. From their perspective, it's better to buy the next newest car. I believe Audi also knows this and as a result, the cars depreciate fast. Today, a 13 year old (2010) S8 can be purchased for $12K to $16K. I'm not surprised. Maintenance costs are extremely high and the newness which was the original appeal for original owners, has worn off. Maybe I'm wrong and the S8 will be a collector car. If it becomes one, I believe it will happen because of the uniqueness of the V10. Your car looks well maintained and would likely be highly sought after in that case. However, if it does not become a collector car, it's definitely an enthusiast car. Thanks for sharing the car with us. I always liked the S8.

I have exactly the same Audi S8 V10 from 2008 in phase 2, mine is black metal, I have an original MTM preparation, so it does 535hp instead of 450hp. It's a monster, I've had it for 2 years and I never tire of it. on the other hand very expensive to maintain because Audi is expensive and consumption enormous but otherwise a happiness, it is my car pleasure of the weekend luckily lol

I purchased a 2007 S8 3 through years ago with 155,000 miles, I thought it was rather amazing when I test drove it and it was very inexpensive for $105,000 sticker price car. It takes a lot of patience and is good to have mechanic knowledge and a willingness to experiment when necessary, but this is by far one of the nicest cars I’ve ever owned, I am 62 and also currently own an e39 M5 & Grand National. It drives amazing, great cockpit very comfortable very fast, truly wonderful car and the V 10 with resonator delete X-pipe from Fabspeed is amazing !!🎉 find one if you can..:)👍

Nice wheels for sure. I got a 2004 D3 that is in almost immaculate shape. Few cosmetic things in the inside but they are very minor. Car runs like a dream.

Man congrats! what a machine. I love the interior. The condition of the car is mint. I just let it got my 2007 Audi RS4, which is also rare these days. But your S8 just blew my mind. Still take care of my 2007 S8 with 40,000 miles. my Father got it in 2014 from Porsche and only had 20,000 miles from the original owner from 2006. He gave it to me in 2019 and I've looked after it ever since; I plan to keep it forever.

The S8 class of Audi will always be the trifecta of luxury,comfortable and sport. My dream car is the S8 of the year 2017 twin turbo V8! But as the time passes by you can never stop appreciating that V10!
I had the S8 40V V8 from 2000 with manual 6 gearbox sold it after I emigrated to NZ and found here a S8 2007 V10 Ibis white ceramic brakes and Kreissieg stainless F1 sounding exhaust. I looked into everything also liked the W12 in the A8L but simply nothing goes above the sound of the V10 especially when you unleash the beast in the machine its mind blowing this shit is better then any drugs.
My 5 cents for a future decision dream car is that unfortunately the quality has gone down the pipe last 10 years there is also the electronics have gotten to a point that you can't tinkr at it at your home because most stuff these days isn't reparable anymore. Also pure aspirated is bullet proof because its over dimensioned and runs way under its potential. So much nicer temperatures to survive for the engine. Turbo's bring a lot of heat and getting rid of the heat is the biggest challenge and always leads after time to damage to other components surrounding the hot arias. Normally pure aspirated cars feel much spirity when driving of because of their different cylinder pressure in comparison to turbo engines. Because of that pure aspirated engines have less detonation risk then turbo engines. Before the S8 I had the Audi 200 turbo Treser from 1986 and experienced the challenges that this setup gave for heat managing and that was only 1 turbo on a V5 not 2 like the S8 from 2017. But I must say when you can get your hands on a extremely low km less then 50000 that history is transparent correct why not and look after it and nurture it drive it in a way you give the car a chance to let dissipate the heat it creates. Good the chassis and body is of full aluminium in the 2007-2010 models. Better double check that with the 2017 otherwise you might be better of staying away because it end sup the same as with electric cars that you can only do that much runs before the cars runs into its limits. Natural aspirated V10 without turbos you can push as much and as long as you wish it won't give in because all temperatures stay within the green zone when you keep pushing it. You could maybe argue that the W12 and W16 and V10 diesel would be a better option but those all don't have the real racy high rpm nature of the machines we find in the S8 S6 RS6 series. In the end its the sound that does the trick for me also make sure to choose a perfect interior because that's what most of the day is your view when enjoying your future sleeper.
@@eco_logic I had a friend that was so much into Audi that he never missed an expo or a test drive even if it was on another country. But what got me into driving these cars was not so much his enthusiasm but my personal experience. Right now I’m driving a 2006 A4 1.8T Quattro and keeping aside its fuel consumption (8.5lt/km) it’s pretty fun to drive. It’s still fast when you need it and always comfortable. But if right now at 25 i had to make a choice to keep a car for the rest of my life I think it would be a 2018 A6. What can I say…I love my sedans

Fantastic car, with A8/ S8 D3 it was really obvious, that Audi wanted to build serious competitor to BMW 7 and MB S class. I have "only" 4.0TDI, but very happy with it. Unfortunately to keep these cars alive, it require certain level of dedication, as they are now turning into they teens age.

But the petrol consumption is worth it just because of the way it drives and the beautiful noise it makes and how it makes me feel. I see you have the upgrade Bang and Olufsen sound system like myself, which is an awesome piece of kit. I hear things in songs that I have known for years, that I never heard before.
I also like how I can cruise around town and it is virtually silent until I stab the loud pedal. I think of it as a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde car. It can be extremely fast and loud Or near silent and not attract much attention at all. It only takes the attention of people who really know what it is mostly, which I like.
My car is 2010 black on black although I would have preferred gunmetal grey, but I didn’t want to wait any longer to get one.
Btw, You can see one of these cars being driven by Liam Neeson in ‘Taken’ on the banks of the river Seine in Paris.

I recently sold my 2008 Audi S5 and I’m already regretting it. It was quantum gray with the prestige package and a manual transmission, I know it’s not the fastest car or the best handling but I just had fun in it, I took it camping and on the beach and it did surprisingly well. It has 58K miles and I only but 8 out of the 50. I just had personal stuff come up and needed the money.

Love it, this is the first time I've ever seen one, and what a clean example it is I have an Audi but mine is diesel it is a 2018 A6 Avant 3.0 quattro finished in moonlight blue which in my opinion is the best Audi colour I will own an Audi RS6 Avant one day life goals!
