One of the best gaming chairs I've ever used is the E-Blue Aurora. It's a Japanese company and the quality is well above standards. Lumbar and head support are actually built right into the chair which I like really well. It's one of the best made and most supportive chairs I've ever used. Even after 15 hours of streaming I had hardly any problems at all. Try that with my office chair and I would be needing a treatment from my chiropractor lol. I can almost sleep in the thing if I had a good ottoman. Another good option is Top Sky which is half the price for about $200. Which is one of the best I seen for that price point. Not to mention is well made and has even a footrest built in. Their customer service is also top notch. I get gaming chairs are not everybody's bag. But for my purposes has been great kept me out of the doctor's office.
I figured out how to attach the Lumbar support. You run the elastic bands between the seat and the seat back and then lace them through the head support pillow. That's how they show it on their website. What a pain they don't include it in their setup guides.
Archivvve I agree it is a good price if it is a good chair, but alot of people want a good chair and don't have that kind of money, I did alot of looking around before I got the seat and made sure it was what I wanted, what is people will do with a normal desk chair, they will shop around for the right one
NOBLECHAIR EPIC SERIES REAL LEATHER FOR THE WIN!!!! I tried multiple "gaming" chairs built for my height/weight and this one is by far the best. The lumber pillow fits my back perfectly, and the head pillow cradles my neck and lower head like a dream. It may not be for everyone, but the Epic Series is perfect for me and I would strongly suggest trying it out.
I prefer wooden chairs. Really. I have a big old oak teacher's chair. I've found that more padding equals less comfort in the long run. Leather is usually hot as hell, which might be good if you want to get up and walk around every 15 minutes. If I had the scratch I might go with one of those pricey office mesh-net chairs. BTW, maintaining a straight posture is actually bad for you - you're not using your back muscles, which allows more shifting if you're not in shape (according a study I read). Teenage-style slouching is actually better.
They're comfortable for long period. I've unfortunately broken my chair because I use the lowest height setting and the gas pinion is completely depressed. What I recommend is to get one tailored to your weight so you don't encounter this kind of issue.
Was going through generic office chairs at an average rate of 1 every 3 months. That's $200 a chair. You get what you pay for is true in this case. Lashed out $3.3K (KAB ACS EXECUTIVE) leather director chair, which has... wait for it... A total of 8 inflatable airbags, positioned with the chair seating, and back. These are inflated/deflated to whatever feels comfortable (molding the chair to your own body), with an inbuilt (rechargable) compressor. Side control bank, 6 toggle switches. Bought it back in Oct 2010 and it's still as good as the day it was bought. Albeit it weights a hefty 75kg, but with thick steel contruction, high density memory foam, sitting on a soid steel base with 5 casters, it paid for itself 2 years ago. Can sit in this chair and program for literally hours on end, and still feel fine. Same goes with gaming. Previously, if I did a marathon session, I'd be feeling pretty basic towards the end. I'm not young, but if you are, investing in something better than your average generic office chair, is going to pay dividends later on in life... Nothing worse than having back or leg issues...
I bought the camo version of the chair, it can carry up to 400 lbs (I'm 260 lbs) Most of the chairs I have own get loose over time; but this one is rock solid!
I have owned my DX Racer "King" series for 5 months now. It's targeted for bigger guys just like the Vertagear. From everything you have shown in this video it does seem very similar to mine, but I'm 6ft and have broad shoulders, my shoulders do not touch the shoulder parts on my chair at all, I notice in your video it was on yours forcing your shoulders forward a little, something I made sure to research before buying my chair. The stock wheels with my DX don't feel very good to me, but they do offer a more "Premium" set of wheels which I think for the price should have been included with the chair.
The axle broke for my chair. Maybe it broke earlier than today, but today half of it came loose from under the plastic cover. Still functions as a seat for the time being, but it feels like I'm on borrowed time now. 22 months of use.
My suggestion is don't buy a gaming chair if you only care about comfort. Now that's not to say they aren't comfortable a lot of them are definitely better than a run of mil ikea chair. However, the reasons you really want to get one is 1) aesthetics are in your personal favor 2) you're willing to pay a premium for the more comfortable ones 3) you are already sitting in a bad chair. Comfort is actually subjective despite what purist say, and even the Herman miller Aeron (a $1000 chair for ergonomics) is considered uncomfortable by some people. I suggest you research what ever chair you want and if you can try it before you buy it. I am a purchaser of the Secret Labs Titan chair and I'll probably be doing some sort of formal review of it later in the year so if you're looking into that specific chair I'll try to deliver an honest review with no sponsored bullcrap as it its out of my own pockets.
I'm going to continue using decent office chairs. Most anything "gamer" related annoys me. I don't have too much to complain about on my $150 Staples chair.
They really need to add a curve to the backrest or include multiple lumbar pillows in the box for different uses. Gaming chairs really can be okay but it hinges on whether the included lumbar pillow is right for you or not.
The one problem with "gaming chairs" is the butt padding is not enough. I tried a friends chair for an hour. It felt fine for space and looked good. The padding and support for the lumbar region was great. But after sitting there for an hour it felt like the seat bottom had bottomed out. My butt was sore, it felt as if I had been sitting on a board.
I've had this question for a while; how are these chairs ergonomic if they can't keep you in a straight position and therefore provide a lumbar support cushion?
Awesome Video!, it be cool if you do review more chairs, and thanks for staying natural on the option of the chair, but I do believe a lot of people would rather buy lower end gaming chair, yet there will be some that have the money for it.
The fact that this Vertagear chair has the exact same tatty flimsy plastic arms as the DXRacer doesn't bode well for the rest of the chair, possibly made in the same place with a rebrand.
Looks like these are on sale over at NewEgg for blackfriday. I still think the $200 Autonomous ErgoChair is a better chair at a cheaper price, but its not going to look like it belongs in a race car.
Does anyone have this and can tell me how durable it is long term. I'm a fairly big guy (300 pounds) and my last two chairs (both under 200) have both broken in about a year
huh so i have this chair but my chair legs are clearly different, which kinda makes sense since one of my legs broke/bent off pretty quickly when i first got it (there was no middle strut)
Dao Quang C100 is a super 35 so it's only a touch bigger than a APS-C sensor. They share the same mount as well. If there is vignetting which is on a lens basis there is APS-C mode that crops in slightly
Looks pretty sweet i am after a gaming chair but can afford more then 150 really, does anyone know of any around that price at all? I want to get rid of this ikea chair!
I still don't understand the design, it looks like a racing seat, and looks about as comfortable as one. The purpose of a racing seat is to keep you held in place so you can get through that corner, what kind of activities would you be doing that would require an uncomfortable, grippy seat?
Wait, the one in the video was red? It looks orange to me. The example you showed from their website was red, though. Sidenote: There's so much asymmetrical things in this design, probably due to manufacturing mistakes.
First, I looked up photos of Beyerdynamic headphones and those are definitely DT 880's. Second, if you think that any headphone can sound much better then you have much to learn.
Did I hear this guy right... "When the summer hits here in Canada." Unless your summer is like it is here in southern California where temps can reach 120 degrees then you can use that statement. Summer in Canada what like 90? Shoot it's 90 now in November.
guys can anyone recommend me few good chairs with one thing that I need badly! adjustable back support , even tho I'm 19 I think I have back issues since Its kinda feel stiff sometimes and have a slight pain on the lower spine I would consider non gaming chairs but the backrest on most of them seem kinda short and most of my upper back would be with nothing to touch
Could you please review a chair from decent brands like Herman Miller, Steelcase, Human Scale, etc? These gaming chairs are only popular because kids think they look kewl when they see their favourite (sponsored) streamers sit in them. Look, I wouldn't even mind if you were to review these chairs but atleast try to get some diversity in here. +GrumpyKitten I would LOVE to see someone test a few of the $1000+ office chairs out there. What are review channels for if not showing us stuff we're never going to be able to afford? We also need Eber or Dimitri to wear a 100lb jacket when they're testing chairs (the arms need to be subjected to high stress as well). Structural strength is a real problem for a lot of people and that's the only reason I've ever looked at the "super high end" office chairs. Throwing out a $200 chair every two years eventually costs more than one really good chair, but throwing out a $1,000 chair every ten years would still just break even. Whether or not a chair can actually go the distance is what everyone really wants to know.
The Vertagrear Logo looks like the Abstergo Logo. Did you have any weird dreams while you where taking your 'short breaks'?

Got mine yesterday. I totally agree to the presentation. If fits me perfectly. It's a great chair !

790 GBP on overclockers for the SE model is just nuts for a chair
AnObese Giraffe This chair is only $399 in Australia. The SE is a totally different chair and doesn't look anything like this.
yes but I am just stating that Vertagear also make another chair worth 790GBP which is nuts
and i was thinking my 200 GBP AKRacing chair and 300 GBP ones are little overpriced, damn!
just get a old base and a actual racing seat = problem solved, picked mine up for £50 on ebay
Archivvve I agree it is a good price if it is a good chair, but alot of people want a good chair and don't have that kind of money, I did alot of looking around before I got the seat and made sure it was what I wanted, what is people will do with a normal desk chair, they will shop around for the right one

and whats your height weight if you dont mind sharing

Finally, a gaming chair review. I really want to see this kind of stuff being reviewed.
Thanks Eber for your great work! Love your work. And i also love Dimitrys work! I just love your channel guys!
They're comfortable for long period.
I've unfortunately broken my chair because I use the lowest height setting and the gas pinion is completely depressed.

Eber, your voice is so soothing in this video, PSA this chair is on sale on amazon for USA
Such a nice chair! Great review and phenomenal styling as always Eber!
good review ... love that video angle showing how flat straight the lumbar support is!
I love my DX Racer. I plan on keeping this thing for as long as it keeps working.
I bought the camo version of the chair, it can carry up to 400 lbs (I'm 260 lbs) Most of the chairs I have own get loose over time; but this one is rock solid!
Still using the chair? I'm looking at the camo one it's on sale.
Eber, you can secure the lumbar support by crossing the two straps behind the chair. Look at the way Joker from Joker Productions used it.
Just bought one of these chairs... love it!!!
Of all these gaming chairs I would really like to know how they compare to similar priced ergonomic/office chairs.
Thanks for the a great and informative review. The flat back and lack of a way to attach a lumbar cushion would be an issue for me posture wise.
I'm getting this for myself this Christmas 😉
sebastian meserli just upgrade ur PC for 450. For example sell ur gpu for X. For x+450 buy a new one
Thanks for this great review.. I'm trying to choose between the PL4500 and PL6000..
bought this the other day and Im loving it still breaking in the seat but should be fine in a week or two
2 years later and how do you find it now?
at first i thought you said "But my girlfriend Dimitry" :D lol
The axle broke for my chair. Maybe it broke earlier than today, but today half of it came loose from under the plastic cover. Still functions as a seat for the time being, but it feels like I'm on borrowed time now. 22 months of use.
Chair added to my wishlist...
There are no thirty dollar office chairs from Ikea. Im pretty sure they're over 100
doomtomb3 i got a 40$ on I think
Thank you so much for this review. I was planning on buying one :)
You had my at "one leg under the other" , I love doing that!
I prefer my good ol' *rocking chair...*
Grandma with an Inhaler lmao
My suggestion is don't buy a gaming chair if you only care about comfort. Now that's not to say they aren't comfortable a lot of them are definitely better than a run of mil ikea chair.

They need to add an adjustable lumbar part like on the Maxnomic Office Comfort series.
They really need to add a curve to the backrest or include multiple lumbar pillows in the box for different uses. Gaming chairs really can be okay but it hinges on whether the included lumbar pillow is right for you or not.
I'd have the pillow upside down, for the Abstergo logo.
Great Video i actually wanted to take a closer look at this chair and you did just that in the video. I might buy one now :)
The one problem with "gaming chairs" is the butt padding is not enough. I tried a friends chair for an hour. It felt fine for space and looked good. The padding and support for the lumbar region was great. But after sitting there for an hour it felt like the seat bottom had bottomed out. Proper office chair = x1000 better than any "gaming chair" gimmicks.
I've had this question for a while; how are these chairs ergonomic if they can't keep you in a straight position and therefore provide a lumbar support cushion?
You can get an Arozzi Torretta XL for less than $300 shipped on amazon.
Awesome Video!, it be cool if you do review more chairs, and thanks for staying natural on the option of the chair, but I do believe a lot of people would rather buy lower end gaming chair, yet there will be some that have the money for it.
nice timing. it was 299 last week on newegg... rated 400 lbs i believe?
im looking for a gaming chair from 75-100 maybe up to 150. i lean back quite a bit. i weigh 212 lbs 5ft 10in. any suggestions?
The fact that this Vertagear chair has the exact same tatty flimsy plastic arms as the DXRacer doesn't bode well for the rest of the chair, possibly made in the same place with a rebrand.

I have no interest in half the crap you guys review here...but they're so relaxing so I watch anything, lol.
Is there any cheap gaming chair that dont break on the first weak or better say any good cheap gaming chair?
Hey Dimitri/Eber, what was your favorite piece of hardware you ever reviewed?
Great review....but I have one question. How do i try this before I buy this? I'm ready to buy if I can sit in one first.
Pretty much my opinion. There aren't any tech stores near me, and I'd like to sit in one first. So hard to pick a chair online.
If youre streamer you need the DX Racer. Period.
Oskari Lindblom why?
If youre streamer you'll be sponsored by DX Racer. Period.
oskari sponsors aren't everything
Can you review the LucidSound LS30 ?? I see alot of mixed reviews on it. Hope you can clear it up
Just right when I was looking for a chair!
Why is everyone hearing "Girlfriend"? I heard "Good old friend" just fine.
Does anyone have this and can tell me how durable it is long term. I'm a fairly big guy (300 pounds) and my last two chairs (both under 200) have both broken in about a year
3:37 eber be like "wat am i doin wit this chair again?"
is there something comapable to this in another brand im just shopping around 6 ft 240
What is the difference between a officechair and a "gaming chair"?
KalasKarlsson "gaming chairs" just looks like race car chairs lol
Actually a decent review
huh so i have this chair but my chair legs are clearly different, which kinda makes sense since one of my legs broke/bent off pretty quickly when i first got it (there was no middle strut)
do you have to use any kind of adapter to use the Sigma 18-35 on the C100? since that lens is designed for crop sensor only...
Dao Quang C100 is a super 35 so it's only a touch bigger than a APS-C sensor. They share the same mount as well. If there is vignetting which is on a lens basis there is APS-C mode that crops in slightly
Elliot Kaufman thank you...
Dao Quang
no problem! hit me up on Twitter if you have anymore questions ill do what I can :P
Looks pretty sweet i am after a gaming chair but can afford more then 150 really, does anyone know of any around that price at all? I want to get rid of this ikea chair!
any comparison to the noblechair or a dxracer?
Sorry but I prefer my couch when playing my games. I never found any "gaming chair" to be comfortable enough for me.
But that's just me.
My room doesn't have the space to put a couch in, so my desk and gaming chair combo will have to work for now
I used to think the same till I tried and bought this chair.
In new model green elastic bands in the bottom are removed. Anyone knows why?
Canada gets summer? I never knew that, every time I've been there it's been freezing cold.
I still don't understand the design, it looks like a racing seat, and looks about as comfortable as one. The purpose of a racing seat is to keep you held in place so you can get through that corner, what kind of activities would you be doing that would require an uncomfortable, grippy seat?
I know eber said "good old friend, dimitri" but idk why but i hear it as "my girlfriend, dimitri"
i dont know maybe better audio would never result in mishearing something...
Wait, the one in the video was red? It looks orange to me. The example you showed from their website was red, though.
Sidenote: There's so much asymmetrical things in this design, probably due to manufacturing mistakes.
Which Beyerdynamic headphones are those? If they are 770/880/990 then you should consider an upgrade, there are so many better options out there.
That is DT990. I have the same headphone and I don't think any headphone can sound much better than DT990 and I compared +1000 $ headphones to them.
Brandon Breuer I quite like my DT 990's they're one of my favorite pair of headphones at the moment.
First, I looked up photos of Beyerdynamic headphones and those are definitely DT 880's. Second, if you think that any headphone can sound much better then you have much to learn.
is the SL400 a good chair?
Is there any cheap chairs like this?
The pl6000 is made of pvc leather, isn't that harmful? Doesn't pvc higher the risk of cancer?
hey man where are you originally from ????
I'm 6'5 will this chair be comfortable
5:56 How did you know...
I cant find a way to install the lumbar cushion, any one figured it out?
2:48 i wouldn't say that after a week of owning the chair the one wheel broke and then a few months after another wheel broke (on a wooden surface)
first gaming chair I like after the Herman miller embody ;)
Did I hear this guy right... "When the summer hits here in Canada." Unless your summer is like it is here in southern California where temps can reach 120 degrees then you can use that statement. Summer in Canada what like 90? Shoot it's 90 now in November.
So who else here is still using an ordinary chair?
Itbankrock dinner chair
M0rtale Yeah I have the same at home lmao.
Itbankrock dinner chairs is Gud xD
monoblock chair haha
I got a 5 dollar chair from goodwill. Lol
is it honesty good for a guy at 6'5 275
I want that chair!
Can i overclock it though?
guys can anyone recommend me few good chairs with one thing that I need badly! adjustable back support , even tho I'm 19 I think I have back issues since Its kinda feel stiff sometimes and have a slight pain on the lower spine I would consider non gaming chairs but the backrest on most of them seem kinda short and most of my upper back would be with nothing to touch
How many FPS so you get when you play minesweeper?
Great review. Thanks . !
@HardwareCanucks can you do a review about the asus vg278hv. thank you. 😊
This makes it look as if gaming chairs were the only option for chairs above ikea-level which to my mind is a terrible portrayal of the task/office chair market. Thanks
GrumpyKitten my back thanked my Aeron long ago
+GrumpyKitten
I would LOVE to see someone test a few of the $1000+ office chairs out there.
What are review channels for if not showing us stuff we're never going to be able to afford?
I'm a very happy DXRacer chair owner, and someone who has seen every other office chair that I've ever touched fail catastrophically, so seeing how well some of the more expensive options compare would be great.
Bud 10001100101000
Herman Miller has a 12 year warranty and so far after ~2 years I doubt ill ever have to use it. :P
GrumpyKitten those are expensive sht that they could never get sponsored for. And do you seriously think anyone is gonna buy those chairs?
I mostly care about a chair that can give me high enough arm rests for optimal computer use.
How about some gaming desktops?
WHAT KIND OF COUCH IS THAT?
Anyone know what desk that is?
I'm pretty sure I saw that chair at staples?
My review covers the build of the chair. if you guys are interested in another perspective check it out!
best gaming mouse? please give me reccomendations under 100$
hardware Canucks where can I purchase a Nzxt s340 elite ?
NavjotGames newegg m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16811146239
Omg thx so much
NavjotGames :-D no problem
this or dxracer?
I want one, I just don't like paying more than $200 for a chair that isn't a recliner.
