Poor short term memories! .Boros season only got going last season when Carrick started playing Josh Coburn as our centre forward.Though Josh didnt score many he held the ball up well and brought other players into the attack and our season got going.Carrick clearly has forgotten this loaning out Josh and reverting to the dull pass pass that just isnt working.
We need to win and take that into West Brom because as it stands. If we can’t break down the teams we have played how we supposed to break down Carlos’s best defensive team in the league down.
I dont think burgzorg is at his best against packed defences, he probably is better in the transition and running from half way when he gets turned quick. He looked decent against Leeds who had a go at us. For me azaz doesnt look too clever on the left but im sure he started quite regularly for Plymouth there and had a good spell, he scored against us cutting in from the left. You mention Fry as being a big miss and one of the better defenders, the next breath your saying Carrick likes his centrebacks to step out with the ball. This is Frys major weakness surety.
Boro IMO should set up like the opposition of late, defensive 541 or 451 play them at their own game, see who blinks first. We havent beat Stoke for years, they put 5 past us last time, I'd rather get a draw than a loss, keep Lath on the bench as an impact sub and get Jones in their box to get a pen, lol, UTB.
Mcgree is absolutely key he has to be starting no matter what whenever he is fit. Not convinced by Azaz, he picks up really good positions but he’s too slow and is not decisive enough in the final third. Jones has been awful this season. The word “mixed” actually flatters his performances. He’s played his best football under wilder when he was wing back. I’m not sure carrick is the answer anymore, he’s not adaptable enough, we are so predictable and his inability to affect the game with changes in style of play and substitutions is pretty obvious.
Azaz has had plenty of chances to score and not done it ! Jones should definitely be dropped and what has Hackney done ? Carrick needs to stop being like Southgate and drop players that aren't performing

If we were winning we could forgive Carrick but the boring slow football is doing him no favours. Why buy an attacking left wing back if he is not allowed to bomb forward.

Are you Coburn's dad? We had an even better run in the last 12 games of the season and Coburn played no part of it. Latte Lath scored 11 in 12 too.
