I think you have just changed my cooking life with the frozen hash browns! I am 74 and rihave cooked countless pots of potato soup. This hint will save SO much time and I want to thank you. I'm going to watch the freezer meal prep videos so I don't have to have the tired discussion with my husband every evening about what should we have for supper. Just tried the 🥔 soup with frozen 🥔. First time using my insta pot. So easy and fast I had to leave a comment. Husband absolutely loved it. He could not believe how quick it was.
You have a great gift for presentation and loads of innate charisma! You always use my favorite ingredients (heavy cream, full fat sour cream, Better Than Bouillon, etc.) and explain things extremely well! I predict you will have millions of fans and subscribers!!!
Oh Lisa!! These look so yummy. As I am alone now, I will just portion them out into individual servings and freeze them. Nothing like a hot bowl of soup when I come back in from feeding my chickens. You mentioned you had residual better than bullion in the jar. Why not try 1 1/2 cups with the bullion, pour it in, then add the other half cup into the jar, put the top on and shake it up good, then pour the rest into the pot. That way you get all the bullion in
Or you can just put the bullion directly into the pot
I often add instant smoke and substitute veggie broth for the chicken. I have family members who don’t eat meat (but will accept milk and butter, go figure). I have found I can cook the “veggie version” and then take out a portion for my semi-vegan family members, then add the meat at the end!

I've never heard of potatoes O'Brien. They look like our frozen hashbrowns. I make a corn chowder recipe and if I make anything even slightly similar but different, my family freaks because they love my corn chowder LOL

@@Lisa.Childs it’s very similar to your’s. Cook up some bacon (one strip per person, plus one extra for tasting LOL). Remove, sauté at least half an onion till translucent but not brown. Add 2 cups diced potatoes, 1 cup hot water. Boil, covered, 8 min, or until just tender. Add 2 cups frozen corn and 4 cups milk/cream combo. Simmer until corn is cooked. Add ground pepper. Pretty basic, but I’m not allowed to alter it at all LOL.
I have made cold start yogurt so many times! I have now taught my grands to make it, easy! However we moved and I am using a Instant pot Duo and the 8 hour yogurt
Setting did not work at the end the yogurt was liquid?????😥 what could have gone wrong? I made it twice in a row same liquid results????? I using Fairview milk. Please help. Soup looks .yummy😋

I bought mine called instant pot duo Evo plus and it's so much better then the one she is using,it has handles,look it up,you will love it,also the vent seals on its own as soon as you turn the lid to on,I love it it's a 6 quart because my family is tiny.hope this helps
What I mean by handles,lol is the inner pot has rubber handles and locks in place so inner pot doesn't turn when you stir,I loveit

Hi Lisa, great video as always! Question: I tried the first recipe, I put 2 cups of broth - set for 3 mins - and about 5 miniutes later instant pot beeping said food burning. So I took out the soup, cleaned the bottom pot and put the soup back and added another 2 cups of broth, and got the same problem, before 3 minutes over, it said food burning.... wonder what happened? This is my first time got the signal of food burning. [been using IP for 5 yrs so far]
Wow, that’s a really weird recipe to get the burn notice on! My guess is that your sealing ring was not secure so there was a leak in the lid, causing the liquid to evaporate and cause the burn. Or, your sealing knob wasn’t closed. I hope you’ll try again!

Hello there, I kinda don't like how "plastic" rice made in an electric pressure cooker...can you atleast advice on how to use the electric pressure cooker as a rice cooker or how to cook rice with the slow cook fucntion?

Why would you use cooking wine tho?? If you need extra liquid and salt, add water or good drinking wine. Cooking wine tastes bad. Otherwise, sounds ok. Salt pork is good too. With a bacon sprinkle and finer chopped slat pork with fat rendered.
Hated potato soup thats all we ate as poor kids. Potatoes dried milk powder butter salt and pepper! 👎
