solution which worked for me
Firstly uninstall the chrome through control panel then you have to install chrome using CMD. Open CMD and install chrome by using this command (winget install Google.Chrome).
simply follow these steps and your problem will be solved.

Unfortunately this did not work. I uninstalled chrome and deleted the chrome folder as shown. Then downloaded the chrome installer. But when I click on ChromeSetup.exe it opens a dialog box that says "On Your Marks" with a sequencing bar. But that quickly disappears and nothing else happens. It never gets to a box that says "installing". I'm suspicious that a Windows update is blocking the installation. I don't see the install listed in taskmanager or listed in tasklist under the command prompt.

Yeah did you get the error "Update check error. A connection with the server could not be established" it's probably Windows blocking it as according to many tech RUclipsrs their saying that Microsoft is now completely blocking chrome

@@abhaychaudhary4413 No joy. I finally had to give up and use Edge. This is on a music server so it's dedicated to providing sound throughout the house. Edge works fine. I just prefer Chrome and I'm bummed that it will not install.
