@@BRsPedro Z and Super are really disconnected in terms of story aspects, look into the plotholes... GT picks up right where Z leaves off and has very minor plotholes if any at all
@@lionelleblanc Not really sure if I agree with that, heck i'm not even sure that many people agree with that statement at all. There is a reason why GT is disliked by a big part of the community, I like DBS story way more and I think it has the Dragon Ball soul and feel to it, obviously mostly because of Toriyama's involvement, unlike in GT's case. But you can like GT if you want buddy, it's just a matter of taste, you can like both as well, it's whatever.
Absolutely one of the best parts of the movie. Seeing Goku’s ship heading for earth brings out such intense nostalgia. You know that this is the beginning of the journey that so many of us have witnessed and had apart of their lives for so many years. I’ve watched Dragonball for over 20 years and I still adore it.

I was already tearing up and proper on the verge of crying when Goku was sobbing in his ship leaving Planet Vegeta as his parents said goodbye but then this kicked in with that little montage and I instantly instead started smiling and laughing and inwardly cheering.
Only Dragonball can bring out such emotions! Love this series, DB forever!

This... this ain't one of them, chief.
If anything, kinda feels more nostalgic. Still keeps the spirit of the original but adding that nice modern touch. Kinda like the series is saying "yeah we're back again!" after the 9 month gap between Super ending and this movie's release in Japan
Tbh I do wish they'd use Makafushigi Adventure for once. The original DB opening has that impact you decribed for me.

I didn’t grow up on Dragon Ball and my first real introduction to the show was by chance when I stumbled upon its abridged series by TeamFourStar, and when Battle of Gods played on my TV, but those 2 things alone made me love this series, so when I went to see this in cinemas as a die hard fan with my brother, me (and the rest of the audience) cheered when we saw Goku’s pod fly to earth while this kick ass song accompanied him.

This song has always meant a lot to me. Even moreso now. Thank you Toriyama, for all of this. The next 1000 push-ups to this song are for you. 💪
God damn, I know super had just ended when this came out but I don't know, man... hearing this song felt like seeing an old friend. the moment the song starts (0:30) you get this warm feeling as you are physically unable to stop a smile from stretching across your face. So many people grew up on this and hearing it one more time while Goku and Vegeta duke it out in a beautiful sparing match makes you feel like you're home. I saw this in theaters, and I remember looking over at the people I was sitting next to. I'll always remember this one kid's look of confusion as his parents got all giddy when the music kicked in, only for the kid himself to get super exited as the visuals really picked up and the fight got rolling.
The transition, showing the events of DB, DBZ, and DBS as this plays... Pure movie magic, man. I had shivers going down my spine.
