I am absolutely guttered about the news of Toriyama's passing. I've never cried for the death of someone famous, as I don't feel that anyone has ever meant that much to me outside of my friends and family. But when I found out about this, I was traveling and didn't believe it at first. I sat on the plane with the Dragon Ball music playing in my ears and I was completely overwhelmed with emotion. I couldn't believe my own feelings, but as the days have gone by it has made more and more sense. Dragon Ball- its story and its characters; they have been living inside me since I was a child. I didn't know the man himself, but his work helped me grow into who I am today. Knowing he's gone, I feel my eyes well up and my heart break. I don't know what else to say for now. I already made this remake as part of my next batch of covers, and wanted to share it with all of you in celebration of Akira Toriyama and the tale that he told. I wish to make something special to commemorate him, but I want to take my time with it. I hope we all see him in other world one day so we can thank him for everything.
I feel the same way man. His work has also been with me since childhood and has shaped me so positively into who i am. I felt sad at first, but then remembered that if anything he would want us to be happy and keep pushing our limits. Looking forward to your next music piece
It’s both heartbreaking and heartwarming to see Goku with little Gohan on the Nimbus. It reminds me of when these two had no true worries; Goku would just train, and Gohan was just a pure hearted little boy. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for all those awesome moments with Goku and Gohan, and the rest of the Dragon Team 🙏
R.I.P Toriyama-sensei, the absolute G.O.A.T of anime. You helped a lot of great people thrive, raised a whole generation, and single-handedly saving a bunch of lives with your amazing work of art.❤️
You know what i find interesting is he was born the year of the GOAT (*get it cause he's the goat?*) and passed on the year of the Dragon 202(4) just a few months prior to the 40th anniversary🤔
It hurts even more because Toriyama clearly loved his work like it was another child to him. Granted he forgot a lot of things, but the way he spoke about his work, his involvement in animated projects, and the fact he started it with the inspiration from his wife’s love of Chinese mythology. He was THE pioneer of anime and made it such an acceptable medium in television, paving the way for other artists and manga writers to make other amazing works of art. All I can say is he will be missed. You go to heaven Toriyama and teach them dinosaurs how to ride a ball.
He actually said he didn’t like dragon ball approaching the end of Z. He would have ended the series after frieza, because like as a manga artist is brutal as he need to create weekly content, but sooooo many people and companies depend on dragon ball content that he had to keep extending the manga, finally stopping at Buu. PS: dragon ball Z is half the revenue of the company making the anime, ending dragon ball would be terrible for business
@@zurielsss Well he tried to stop it after freeza, then Cell. and then finally at Buu. while he actually had plans to end it after the battle with Piccolo when Goku got married. looking at how it was written at some point. Granted there is no official statement on the last one, and just my own speculation for media analyse.
However, if Toriyama sensei actually did end DB at Piccolo's defeat, or Frieza's defeat, or Cell's, then we would never have had iconic scenes and characters such as Super Saiyan, SS2 Gohan, the Fusion Dance or Vegito. Sometimes serendipity has its way of doing things. If DB never had those iconic moments and characters, because the publisher egged Toriyama sensei to continue, then Dragonball would never have reach its current legendary status. One could say that not only do we have Toriyama sensei to thank for our childhood, but his supervisors and his publishers too, for getting Toriyama sensei go that extra mile, even when he didn't want to. If we remember his life before his debut, Toriyama sensei originally did manga just for money, but because of the way other people around him pushed him, or encouraged him to go further, the world got a great childhood and memories, even when everything else in life sucked.
All the other “all time” mangaka’s fully and willingly say all the time he was their inspiration, and that without him FMA, OP, Naruto, Bleach, YGO, and all of them in between wouldn’t exist as they do.

The man who literally brought anime to the west, and was part of two of the most legendary JRPGS in gaming history, and was inspiration for millions across the Earth. May he rest well and have fun in the Afterlife with the Kais.
An amazing tribute for Akira Toriyama. May he rest in the Otherworld with the knowledge that Dragon Ball has made a huge impact to so many people and have been a part of their childhood and maybe even throughout adulthood.

R.I.P Akira Toriyama. Thank you for so much incredible work of yours over the years and shaping the modern pop culture world with your stories and characters that helped inspire and motivate people 💜
Dragon Ball was one of the gateway animes for me. It's funny to look back at the fact that as a pretty young Gen Z teenager I first watched the OG Dragon Ball instead of skipping to a later point (it's probably because of the fact I always liked watching things chronologically). I'm honestly grateful because I got to see Goku's original journey firsthand. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for creating a franchise that I and many others love and can be inspired by.
I was so exhausted I checked Twitter before I went to sleep last week, and reading that Toriyama-sensei had died, I couldn’t believe it. I was shook awake, it was as though someone had kicked me in the balls. Your rendition of this song is so well-done and very high quality, I’m in awe of how wonderful it sounds. Thank you for the most wonderful childhood, Toriyama-sensei. ❤
I will be a die hard Dragon Ball fan till my last days on this Earth, then I'll go to other world just to see what Toriyama-sensei cooked up over there. I can't say thank you to the GOAT enough, he was and is my childhood, adulthood. I don't want to live in a world without Dragon Ball.
@@GladiusThemes I believe people die twice, once when they leave the physical realm and once again when you say their name for the last time. So long as we keep these stories and legends like Akira Toriyama alive in the hearts and minds of us all, immortality is achieved! (too bad Frieza, you'll never obtain it!). It makes me smile to think of the millions of people that will be born and become fans just like we are. As for the future of Dragon Ball, Toriyama-sensei trusted Toyotaro to carry on his legacy, so I will too! I have no doubt that after Daima concludes we'll be getting the return of Super under a new name, the future looks bright for Dragon Ball! Lets raise our hands for Toriyama-kun one more time and keep them up to give Toyotaro our full support now creating and designing the stories we love. If you've seen Toyo's Dragon Ball AF comics I think we'll be seeing some really awesome content under his direction, from what I've heard Akira Toriyama was sick for over a years time so he likely wrote out the future for the series and quite possibly even a definitive end. It's customary for authors to do that anyway even though he already did end the story in the 90s, we all knew that one day it would return and boy did it ever! I'll always have a deep sadness when I think that my favorite Mangaka is no longer with us but at this point I've come full circle to being nothing but appreciative, appreciative that he gave so much to me and so many people and probably saved hundreds of thousands of peoples lives through his stories and animations. Here's to the future and a never ending stream of Dragon Ball content for us to watch and read.
The news took all of us by surprise. No one expected for Toriyama to leave this world yet. He had so much more to show us. But God had other plans for him unfortunately. Without him, there would be no Dragon Ball. And without Dragon Ball, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Thanks for everything Akira, you’re a true legend. And thanks for releasing this song. I’ll be listening to this in while I honor him. May he rest in peace and live in our hearts always. His legacy will live on and Toyotaro will keep it going as Toriyama’s successor.
Jio, I'll do you one better, and fans of DBZA will get this one... we dont need the balls, because Toriyama doesnt need us to bring him back... *=w= **_The man's too busy teaching a dinosaur to ride a ball_*
This remake brings a tear to my eye with how amazing it is. Honestly, having grown up with Z on Toonami, our intro was Rock The Dragon, so I didn't have any association with Head-Cha-La or any real fondness for it. I realize now that the reason this hits so hard is from all the years of TeamFourStar and the love of experiencing Dragonball again through the lens of DBZA.
Rest Well, Akira Toriyama you have changed the world for the better. He really changed our childhood. Hearing your version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La. God We all teared up.
I cried when I heard he died! Thankyou Akira Toriyama for your amazing stories, Friendships, and making amazing childhoods. DBZ will always be in my heart and generations to come will know your amazing work! We hope you are training with king kai "until we meet again"
He may have been a very private man in his lifetime, but I like to think with him watching over us now, he truly sees how much his work impacted the world, all the conversations, forums, imitations of the moves, artwork, rap lyrics, and of course musical compositions. Thank you Toriyama for your impact and Well Done GLADIUS, lovely tribute😊
Damn... the opening especially around 0:12 is so magical. Any chance we can get a version entirely in that style as well? The more celestial and etheral sounds?
Although I'm young and grew up with Z Kai, I'm really liking the Japanese dubs and everything. The genius behind it all, Mr Akira Toriyama. It's a pleasure to be alive while he was doing the amazing work he was done. I haven't even watched the OG Dragon Ball yet. And now I will.
All throughout my life dragon ball has been one of the most important things to me, as a person. Like many people here, it's helped me when times were hard, it gave me so many chances, experiences and memories and none of it would be possible without Akira Toriyama. Thank you Toriyama, for creating this beautiful piece of art that touched so many people, and will continue to do so. See you in other world, Tori-Bot.
Im so excited that you finally got this out! Its an amazing tribute to Toriyama, and everyone else who worked on this amazing series that we all know and love today!
RIP Sensei🙏 You may have now gone far far far away from us. But this legacy which you created. The stories you told. Will always remain with us, etched forever in our hearts🕊🕊
The first head cha la's rose the hair on my whole body... this track is very emotional. Outstanding! Toriyama changed my life. His work inspired me to be my best self, to always fight for what I believe in and to be good to people.
This has touched so many peoples hearts, and this is a really good send off for the passing of the The Legend Akira Toriyama. He has brought us the best of everything that shows everyone the spectacular things. Even the music is really nice. ❤❤❤❤
This was very beautiful, my friend. Especially the beginning. I first got the news before bed that night. Was too much in shock to go to sleep. The next day, I was a crying mess. It just goes to show how Akira's work really touched our lives and hearts ❤️
I feel you man. Even before reading your comment, it might just be how I woke up, but hearing this got me emotional. Maybe I caught your vibe through the music. I love that at moments I can JUST hear the lyrics, as if seeping through the walls of reality. Like the echoes of a life well lived. I didn't know the man either, apart from certain almost-silly aspects of his memory and the little nods to things he loved without shame. Sentai stuff... Terminator... Bruce Lee... And yet, his soul is stamped into every bit of his work. He couldn't help but overflow into it. And the more I think about what these stories and characters mean to me, to MEDIA... to STORYTELLING as a WHOLE... there just weren't bad memories with him. He never let us down.
Wonderfully written my friend. In the darkest times of my life, I’ve listened to the SSJ Transformation music, imagining that I’m transforming my way through the pain and struggle into something more than myself; the Super Saiyan represents the version of ourselves we have inside that we could become, an inner beast that energizes us, but also a savior to protect us, and Toriyama gave that image to us in a way no other author has. He never let me down 💜
I stared in complete shock reading the news about Toriyama. That moment literally felt like a fever dream. I can't accept it, and it may stay like that for a long long while. Thank you Toriyama for everything
I absolutely feel you Gladius hearing about Toriyama's death left me in shambles and I for real am so heartbroken but he will forever be remembered for years to come and his legacy will never die. This song is an absolute classic and you once again killed it and I hope you have a great rest of your year and I wish all the best to you and your future endeavors. You a GOAT for dropping this. 🐐🔥🔥🐐
This was absolutely phenomenal and I freaking love everything about this awesome job with the video keep up the great work and don't stop making possibilities like Akira Toriyama Rest in peace to him.✨️🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Another great one! I’m also sad about the news especially since I grew up with Dragonball, I remember giving it a try when I was around 11/12 years old, since then I got stuck with it and I’m 35 years old now. I loved the story and character development and the characters themselves. For me it has been an inspiration and still will be.
These tunes you've remastered are gonna keep Akira's memory alive. As someone who creates, I can't think of a better reward. Far outweighing any RUclips stats will eventually follow
Toriyama-Sensei, you inspired so many of us, and inspired other works we adore. Thank you for all you have. See you on Snake Way.
Let’s continue to keep Dragon Ball alive and well in honor of Toriyama Sensei! 💜🙏
No need to gather the dragon balls , Toriyama is inmortal and will always live within us , thank you for a great childhood!
Jio, I'll do you one better, and fans of DBZA will get this one... we dont need the balls, because Toriyama doesnt need us to bring him back...
*=w= **_The man's too busy teaching a dinosaur to ride a ball_*
Well done man. Playin this at the office today. 鳥山明さん、本当にありがとうございました!
This cover of “Cha La Head” is powerful, triumphant, and joyful. Your love for the Dragonball franchise shines through this song.
🥹💜 So much love for this story…
Beautiful work as always, Gladius. Nothing will ever top Cha- La-Head-Cha-La. Rest in peace, Toriyama-San.
Complimenti per l'arrangiamento, davvero epico, forte ed emozionante. Tributo che tocca le corde dell'anima.
Thank you toriyama for creating the second coolest and most popular franchise from japan, after Godzilla of course, nothing beats him
Rest Well, Akira Toriyama you have changed the world for the better. He really changed our childhood. Hearing your version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La. God We all teared up.
I wasn’t ready for something this beautiful in a moment as dark as this. Thank you sir, and thank you Akira for framing my childhood. God bless
I cried when I heard he died! Thankyou Akira Toriyama for your amazing stories, Friendships, and making amazing childhoods. DBZ will always be in my heart and generations to come will know your amazing work! We hope you are training with king kai "until we meet again"
0:37 Love that part
Feels like the end of the great adventure
Goodbye and thank you for everything Toriyama...
Thank you Akira Toriyama ❤
Thank you for everything Akira Toriyama may your legacy go even further beyond, and Thank YOU Gladius for this wonderful masterpiece.
Tears are falling. It's a Saijan's feeling
Rest in Peace and enjoy Training with King Kai Akira Toriyama thank you for being who you wete and for creating the Dragon Ball Franchise
Damn... the opening especially around 0:12 is so magical. Any chance we can get a version entirely in that style as well? The more celestial and etheral sounds?
That’s a good idea! ✨
Sparking!
Masterpiece of a series and theme, thank you Akira
Although I'm young and grew up with Z Kai, I'm really liking the Japanese dubs and everything. The genius behind it all, Mr Akira Toriyama. It's a pleasure to be alive while he was doing the amazing work he was done. I haven't even watched the OG Dragon Ball yet. And now I will.
Brilliant work and such a fitting tribute.
Hope you are doing ok during this sad time.
Rest in peace Toriyama-sama you meant the world to so many. 💜
He was one of the greatest anime writers in the history of anime. And for that we will miss him… may God save you Akira Toriyama. 😔🙏✝️
First time listening. Holy shit this gave me chills. That build was awesome.
HELL YEAH DAWG - another great remake.
The first head cha la's rose the hair on my whole body... this track is very emotional. Outstanding! Toriyama changed my life. His work inspired me to be my best self, to always fight for what I believe in and to be good to people.
Your are back my friend! Your work is beautiful. I really like you music.
Thank you 💜 More to come.
He never let me down 💜
My copy of Sand Land (PS5) just came today... I only bought it because of Toriyama! RIP Mr. Toriyama, thanks for making my childhood AWESOME!!!
Thank you my friend, he brought us so much joy, and continues to do so 💜
This was absolutely phenomenal and I freaking love everything about this awesome job with the video keep up the great work and don't stop making possibilities like Akira Toriyama Rest in peace to him.✨️🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Another great one! I’m also sad about the news especially since I grew up with Dragonball, I remember giving it a try when I was around 11/12 years old, since then I got stuck with it and I’m 35 years old now.
I loved the story and character development and the characters themselves.
For me it has been an inspiration and still will be.
I had listen to this DBZ arrange like more than 40 times already, thank you for doing this! Is is just so freaking good! 10 out 10 GLADIUS 👏🏼🎵🎶🎶
Seeing Toriyama at the end was tough to watch, god bless him and his genius mind!
Yessir I knew you could do it remember me
I sure do. Thank you for the request :)
Absolute fantastic work :D
Akira toriyama gracias por todo
Appreciate you doing this in his honor Gladius, Toriyama would be proud!
These tunes you've remastered are gonna keep Akira's memory alive. As someone who creates, I can't think of a better reward. Far outweighing any RUclips stats will eventually follow
so much passion and emotion put into this remix -- love it, well done! 🎉
Great job! Toriyama would be proud!
Toriyama-Sensei, you inspired so many of us, and inspired other works we adore. Thank you for all you have. See you on Snake Way.
And to you Gladius, like always, an incredible composition, but given the unfortunate circumstances, the perfect song choice to commemorate the life of the great Akira Toriyama
💜🙏 Thank you my friend. Rip 🐉
All stand and sing along if you know the words
