    Really like your channel.... Subbed. What software is the best for restoration of scanned high res JPEG files ? There in mint condition just dust spots and lots of grain. Keep up your channel I'll let my fellow photographers about your channel. Cheer's

      For film restoration, I would use GIMP. I don't have a lot of experience editing older film photos, but in your case it sounds like you would want to make use of the clone/spot healing feature as well as some noise reduction. That's where I would start, anyway. Probably the best source to learn GIMP would be Davie's Media Design. He's got a ton of helpful content over there. in addition, he does have some tutorials you can purchase that don't seem too expensive. IMO, he's the gold standard for GIMP tutorials.
