It was on the 2nd mission where you took out cargo planes crossing over mountains. I believe this playlist to be in order that you did the missions in the game.
CORE MEMORY UNLOCKED: Playing this mission as a kid is how I first learned about VTOL aircraft. My 7 year old mind was blown when two Yak-141's came straight up off the desert floor and started pursuing me
The sad thing is we (players) can't buy them, since those planes are designed only for in-game enemies 😕... And if I recall correctly, even in Ace Combat Assault Horizon we can't use VTOL mode on AV-8B Harrier...

Like, imagine how freakin awesome it would be to hide behind a mountain in something like a modified Sea Harrier, waiting for the right moment to strike. Then, right as the enemy aircraft join the battle, you pop up and fire a few Sidewinders at 'em. Or even better: you can recreate the Harrier SAM-site scene from the Area 88 TV series

ice combat has one of the coolest psx soundtracks that I have ever listened to. though the game producers have gone on working in the ice combat franchise, this one carries on being my favourite one when it comes to soundtrack.
Thank God those good "pirates" made this game downloadable in .iso game format from most of torrent websites. Same goes with ePSXe emulator. All you need is a proper controller prepared and configured as you wish and wu-a-lah : AC2 on PC.
Just beat it, just a warning, if you find yourself on a mission with a submarine and a nuke, do not take the A-10 or anything slow or else the missile will outrun you
@@rudysmith1445 I kept reloading my save state thinking I wasn't flying well enough and not realizing I could load my game from the menu and choose another plane. Probably wasted 30 minutes of my life trying to do with the a-10.
I love this game and ost heh. The composers deserve more praise. I was playing ace combat 2 on retroarch in my smartphone this week and man... I realized I like it more than the last game where jets "drift" when you break . This "feature" annoys me so much in the latest game.

I played Air combat on my dad's ps1. One of the best games I/he owns for the system.
The Groovy Rhythm sold me with this bgm especially accompanied by that Amen Break, Kohta Takahashi really did well in this one

I loved flying the Su-35 in the this mission, such a kick arse plane.
Flying the Su-35 in this game in general feels badass since it's Scarface 1's canon plane.
