AC3: Unchecked corporate expansion, the nature/sentience of AI, Corporate warfare, global networks, cyberpunk themes, different timelines AC04: Messianic imagery, civilian POV in war, honorable and humanized tragic “villain”, contrasting plots from both sides AC5: Heavy allusions to Cold War between US/Russia, fall from grace and redemption, overcoming differences to work together, patriotism AC0: The futility and devastating nature of war, nukes, lots and lots of Arthurian references, misguided team mate/rival, mercenaries, honor, the nature of countries and borders AC2: haha XFA-27 goes brrrr 😎👉👉
I honestly like the simplicity of Air Combat, Ace Combat 2, and the English version of Ace Combat 3. Just focusing on awesome gameplay and music. It’ll definitely make them refreshing when I play them after playing all the other mainline games.
@Jaypo Stromboli -JPgamerTV- I actually prefer the English version of Ace Combat 3 over the Japanese one. All the super long dialogs in the Japanese one distracts from the game play.
I don't know if you'll ever see this, but this comment single-handedly led to me making a meme about this. Check my channel for the "2020 Remake Version" if you're interested o:
Btw, if you're wondering where that particular sample comes from, it's from a drum machine called the Akai XR-10; I only know that cuz it just so happens that I have a ton of drum machine samples that I use for the music I make, and it just so happens to have some samples from it as well, which also include that exact clap sound lol
Dam right dude, Operation: Seagull, i think. Taking on the aircraft carriers with this music was just straight up epic, this was my favorite mission of ace combat 2.
It's been 23 years, but I still want to hear it. It's a very addictive sound, refreshing in my head, I think everything will go well after listening to music. music is too positive and brave
When you have to destroy the cruise ships under the sunset. Sadly, you have to attempt a ship landing after the mission, which was terribly difficult :)
It was "difficult", because unlike in later games, you were not always facing the carrier the right way. You were facing its nose, hence there were no brake supports
@@lukaimedashvili270 True, in AC3 it was way easier with onscreen graphics and stronger brakes. I remember I lost much less aircrafts in that kind of landing. Just wondering how it was on the first AC version then.
@@bai From what I remember from when I played Ace Combat 1 aka Air Combat, it didn't have any landing sequences. Might need to go back to it to be sure though. In Ace Combat 2, I remember losing some aircraft in some pretty funny ways to that landing sequence. One of them was I had landed correctly only to nose dive off the carrier. The other was I think the plane was going way too fast still and just went straight off the carrier or something like that. Definitely was the hardest landing sequence in the series. Also I don't think I ever had to approach the carrier from the bow in Ace Combat 2. I think it was just a programming limitation or something as to why there weren't any brake assists on the carrier in that game.
@@KionKamon The trick in a successful landing in AC2 was to press the brake button way before the landing sequence (=where the camera is not your HUD anymore). When I discovered it I stopped losing aircrafts. If you started breaking during the landing sequence you could only see the aircraft going into the sea with that 'TOMB' creepy sound and the game over music (and the dollars to pay for the aircraft) :)
First time hearing this in the "Sanctify" mission in Ace Combat Join Assault when I used to have my PSP back in the days. I remembered I kept repeating the song over and over in the built-in Music Player in the game. It is just sooo good man.
Fire, young man. Welcome to the skies Fire, young man. Show me what you got. Fire away, ace You're grace in the skies Going afterburner, high up in The clouds! [Guitar solo] Rising high, high up in the infinite sky No border can hold me back, no ace can stop me No missile can catch me! Fire away, try to lock on to me, and shoot me down But by the time you've locked on me I've evaded, and right behind you!
I started at 04 sadly 😆. I was introduced to this beautiful theme in ace combat infinity. It was my antiship theme as my F-2 would usually win for my team.
Listening to this song again, I can't help but notice that it sounds like in Tempo and Rhythm to The Struts "Could Have Been Me" even if Danger Zone was the original inspiration. I think SiIvagunner should remix it with Could Have Been Me.
Fear you know nothing of fear till you gotta land your bird on the fight deck I had that best jet and I stopped right at the edge Another happy Landing 😂👍
@@osmaer3999 This song conveys the right feeling for this mision, a somewhat tiring, long sortie with lots of targets, 2 Ace pilots (3 total due to ZOE) and an aircraft landing end. It it energetic, has memorable guitar parts and is well designed to help keep the player in good spirits and give off "I can do this !" feeling. This is what I believe makes it sound american.
One of the best tracks in the whole series!
I repeated this mission many times just for the track

Its more "Top Gun" than the actual Top Gun game!...
this is what I was just thinking! 👌
Exactly
When Japanese devs teach the US how to be Top Gun...
And 2022
Top Gun gets it's Danger Zone theme mixed with Fire Youngman
What a historical moment
There's one?
In memory of all that poor gamers and their aircrafts who never knew how to land on a carrier...
Well noted! I had some hard times trying to land hahahaha
it was much easier to do in AC2, unlike NES Top Gun
Hey i was 6 years old then xD but i tryed my best xD now im 22 and i still love this game!
I finally learnt gents!

Ahh, the nostalgia is real right now. I miss this game. This was one of my fave missions in the game, especially when I shot down the F-14D Z.O.E
Happy 27th Anniversary, Ace Combat!
この曲と夕焼けのステージが最高だった
genuinely one of the best energy boosting themes from a game
That is one hell of a track
Kohta Takahashi's guitar on this is really great. In fact, all of his guitar work across the AC2 soundtrack is awesome.
Hangman squad and Z.O.E. together! Phoenix! move out!
Very strange to see that F/A-18E Z.O.E with other squad, the same thing on AC3D, this same Z.O.E stay with the Coccon squad

missile explosions, awesome aircrafts fighting and this epic track in the back
this game makes you feel like a hero
This is the core of nostalgia of ace combat music
You can listen how this soundtrack inspired the whole Ace Combat 7 DLC music.
P. Delgado wow I just now noticed that lmao. Especially when I hear the trumpets. They sound similar to Scream and Rage’s theme.
No, I think the multi-player music like the song that plays when you win, or when you are MVP are more inspired by this song.

truelly, nothing has been achieved or truelly new in video games since the psx era, ace combat 2 is the perfect exemple of this.
