    I completely agree regarding Sirius XM. The concept of having satellite service when cellular is not available was indispensable for me. Now we are at the mercy of cellular with Tesla. However, because Sirius XM is available using their app, having that App in the Tesla would at least let us continue having some sort of of access to our beloved XM radio stations. So yes, hopefully in an update

    I use Tidal atm but I like all three streaming services

    Very impressive how Tesla displays the desktop version of Apple Music. What bitrate or Lossless setting was selected in the Apple Music audio stream? Were all three streaming services set to the same bitrate? THX.

    apple music sound way too tinny. Unfortunately Tidal isn't available in my region. I wish Qobuz is supported on Tesla.

    I've had SiriusXM in cars for 20+ years and listened to it always in preference to FM stations with ads. TBH the lack of Sirius in the Model 3 was a blocker to me considering buying a Tesla for a long time. I've finally given in and will take delivery soon. Can anyone suggest which of the available premium streaming service can most closely replicate what Sirius offers?

    Thanks for this review. So Spotify on mobile has the crossfade feature when playing between tracks. Is that also available for Tesla audio? I’m extremely shocked Sirius XM is not a feature! I’m a user and love it. That’s definitely giving me something to think about. Would hate to have or Bluetooth from my phone for such a automobile.

    Would be nice if you included bit rates, whether you can download the audio, whether each service buffers the tracks before each song. Whether you can control the buffer between tracks. etc. etc.

    I also found that Tidal sounded much clearer than any of the other services. While driving you won't hear it much though.

    Do you also find voice commands don't work well with apple music? It just does a search for me and i have to tap to select the song or album. with the regular streaming i don't have to do that or with spotify.

    Trained my slacker radio stations but the account doesn't seem to work for me. Problem is when u switch cars u need to be able to have your account so that your stations transfer and it does not work so far because slacker is defunct/rebranded as Live X Live I think, but the accounts don't seem to work in Tesla for me.

    Can you play Apple Music lossless connected through a USB-C cable ?

  • @TheJazyali
    @TheJazyali Год назад

    IMO .... Do not add serius XM until Serius improves their customer service. Read about it before you make a decision. They suck the energy out of you and hound you if you try to cancel service. Not sure about the other streaming service companies here.

    Load up USB drive with ripped FLAC = best sound, wireless/cell not required.

    I found that Apple Music on Tesla had a lot more issues with buffering / issues with connectivity compared to my iphone being connected with bluetooth running Apple Music from there. So I've switched back to using the iPhone. Also I wish Tesla would just put in CarPlay

    • @BecauseTesla
      @BecauseTesla  Год назад

      Thanks for replying. Since it’s new to the Tesla UI, I’m sure future software updates will smooth out any buffering. I have a 3rd party screen from Hansshow that has Apple CarPlay, and it works great. My issue is that I just don’t find myself using it that much. The Tesla apps natively do everything that I need …so far. I’ll occasionally use CarPlay to use alternative navigation software, but now with a recent software update, the Tesla navigation now gives me alternative routes to choose, so I’ve been using the Tesla Nav more often.

      I’ve noticed the same. Spotify works better. It’s my wife’s daily and she prefers Spotify anyway. I find Spotify easier to use as well since I can use the same app in both cars to listen to podcasts.

    • @BecauseTesla

      I had satellite radio in my last car, and I loved it - compared to FM radio. The Tesla has streaming audio over a cellular connection, and it is vastly superior to satellite. No cut outs when you drive under bridges or tunnels, and the sound quality is also better. I would use Sirius XM in a Tesla if it were the streaming app, but not if it were a satellite connection. Trust me when I say this is a better audio experience than in my last car with satellite.

    • @TXCraig
      @TXCraig Год назад

      @@BecauseTesla I like the programming on satellite, the news options, live sports, ect. I hardly ever loose signal under bridges. There are places I drive with no or limited cell service… national parks like Yellowstone have zero cell service. That makes sat ideal. It’s in every car these days it’s amazing that you have to buy a an X or S to get it from Tesla.

    👋 Merci pour cette vidéo. 👌Pour apprécier et entendre la qualité du son, il faut télécharger en WIFI la musique en qualité CD (HIRES) dans la mémoire de la Tesla. Et il n’y a que TIDAL capable de faire cela. 👂🎶👂

    Did you use the the highest subscription on Tidal? Tidal HiFi Plus?

    • @BecauseTesla
      @BecauseTesla  Год назад +3

      No, and you make a really good point. I could subscribe to HiFi Plus and get Dolby Atmos sound, but now I would be paying twice as much as Spotify or Apple Music, and still have the limited catalog of songs. If you are an audiophile, then definitely get that HiFi Plus subscription. I just couldn't justify the cost and thought it would be a better comparison video to show all 3 platforms at the same price point to make it fair.

      This video shows Apple Music and Spotify and Tidal in a Tesla and some of the differences between how they look and the content they offer. How is that clickbait? I mean...I'm not ashamed to use clickbait...lol...but I don't see it with this particular video ;)

      I feel that this title accurately describes the content. We may not all have the same definition of clickbait, but to me it’s when a title is misleading. I found this video informative.
