    Thanks for sharing. I’m new to a Tesla me and my wife got the model Y but I still run around with a Tacoma with a ring car dash camera that’s like 60 bucks a month but I’m doing everything with my phone. I think it’s really worth the hundred bucks a year

    That progress bar sounds cool. Did Tesla announce that somewhere?

    do you get the same features enabled as long as the car gets internet? because you can hotspot the car from your phone. now of course, watching netflix would kill your data allowance, so if you do long trips with the family where netflix/disney is implied, i guess the package is worth it.
    also remember, you can purchase the package with referral credits, pretty cheap too.

    Do you work for Tesla? You forgot to mention Wi-Fi hotspot then you can stream stuff without premium connectivity

    Can premium provide a Hotspot for the kids/passengers while driving?

    Does the trip progress bar feature need premium connectivity?

      Yeah, I haven't gotten the update yet though to confirm

    Cant I just connect to my mobile hotspot and bypass this "premium connectivity"?

      Some, but not all of the features

    $100 a year seems bargain for this. Better than fsd money

      Another option is to use your phone’s hotspot

    I'm planning to go on a road trip with my family soon, and the place we're going requires passing through mountains. Before I bought my Tesla, the internet was too slow when going through the mountains, making it difficult to listen to music via Apple CarPlay or show videos to my child due to poor internet connection. If I use Premium Connectivity, will I be able to play RUclips videos without any issues even in the mountains?

    • @teslahowto
      @teslahowto  2 месяца назад +2

      I think the car uses AT&T mobile data, so it's based on that coverage map.
