I have had mine now for six months and I have a little over 2,000 miles on it, almost all on winding steep cement mountain roads. Every time I go out to my car port I ask myself "Why did I buy this thing?" But 30 minutes into every ride I have this big smile on my face! I love driving this thing, especially around sharp corners, up and down steep roads. I think I will keep it.
I bought a new one, December 4, 2023. So far I really like it. I do not do much off road but I do a lot of winding steep up and down mountain roads and I find that it handles really good. Powerful enough for me as I am an old guy and never go very fast anyway. The engine has a persistent rattling noise, but I am told that this is normal.
It's basically a lawnmower engine, so expect lawnmower noises lol The upside, though, is the reliability. Honda used this engine in the verza and megapro and it is known to be fairly bulletproof.
Pinoy here but currently living in laos. I bought this bike 2 months ago, and boy oh boy I'm loving it. I always took the chance to use it whether buying something from the store 20 meters from the house or moving it around the garage because of the sun's heat😅
Thanks for the review. My CB150 Verza shares the same engine and (some) parts with this CRF150L, so I'm planning to buy this one to save myself the hassle of finding parts lol.
A bike that, even though, is small but makes up for it with low price and maintenance level. Entry level bikers with low budget are offered the most reliable tool to fulfill their foremost priority, miles and hours of riding.
Yes! Learning to ride a motorcycle offroad is the best way. I suggest you check my video on the XR150L. Similar configuration but a bit more comfortable in terms of ergonomics.
Thanks for the review. Thinking about buying one in Cebu. Price tag currently 152.000 peso. Too high or did the prices rise over the last 10 month? Thanks in advance!
Its up to you. Personally i would keep the XR200 if its still in great condition. But if your old bike is giving you more headaches then consider the CRF150L as a replacement.
I choose between this and XR150L, i did get the XR150L instead, because i dont do trail i just need like a comfortable utilitarian bike that can tackle most of the road here as even in the city there are tons of pothole :), plus the flood issue on rainy season, but i do hope Honda keep the XR200 design concept on the honda xr150L
Thank you for sharing. While P150k is a lot of money for a 150cc bike. We should not overlook the fact that this is the most affordable on/off road motorbike with fuel injection, fuel guage, inverted front fork, and front/rear disc brakes. Does the Philippine version has option for flat rear carrier like the XR150L?
popular because it's the most good looking in its category. 4 stroke dual sport bike should have at least 200cc. most sub 200cc 4T bikes are a joke in terms of power.
Sir Manoy66, first video I saw of yours I loved & as I saw the palm trees along w/ your english dialect I was really hoping to find you in the continental usa ? I know, I know, you ain't here but as you span across you shop I see you putting together bikes of all types but you aren't limited by standard recommended upgrades. To the contrary, you "punk" bikes as if they was a bitch & I mean nothing disparaging against bikes/bitch's since I love them both ! That said, you've got a unique "eye" for upgrades to give added performance plus they just LQQK good. You've got a flair for making people's bike look hip as sH!T !! Anyhoo, I do like this little bike but have no idea what I'm gonna buy. I got 3-4 months to decide & I'll be watching you. I really wish that you were here, I'd feel great about dropping a bike off & know it would perform great & look great too. I'll be back later. TY much
Depends on what you will be using them for. Both are capable offroad and easy to maintain. I personally would go for the XR because the seat is better. Thank you for giving me an idea for a future video. 😉

I’m considering buying one primarily for the rougher mountains roads in south Cebu where the ADV just won’t cut it ! Nice review thx 🙏

Mine too has rattling noise at high speed. It's annoying to hear but that's normal for CRF150L.

Wish we had the CRF150L here in the US, we have the XR150L. No kickstarter and carbed with standard RSU forks
Uh, call your dealer, I think msrp is around 3-3200 bucks all decked out

Nag iipon na ko bai. Mga 2 sa taon pa, makabili na sana ako ng CRF 150.
nice review manoy
Okay, I'm 34 and have never been on a bike in my life but want to learn. Is this a good starter?

@@TheManoy66 thank you. I just looked up that model. Seems the best fit for me.

Depends on where you buy but the differences are minimal. Have you checked the used market? Some go as low as 75k depending on condition though.
147k currently in ncr
I Have That XR200 same on the video should I replace it with this CRF150L? what do u think sir? I used it as a dual sport only not for trail

its great they still make motorcycles that are not for wankers
