Would like to see the finished build with 5 lug wheels. Very interesting build.
I used an 8 inch out of a granada to convert to a 5 lug on my cobra 2
This is great information for the Mustang ii community. Thanks for sharing all of the part numbers and technical info!
Thanks Dave. I'm glad I could help out the mustang II community. Feel free to share the videos.
Excellent
The Mustang II uses a 'one-off' version bolt pattern of the small bearing 8" axle. No brake vendors sell disc brake conversions for the Mustang II. Hence the need to modify the location of the four bolt holes in the adapter plates. How do you know how to modify the holes? It appears in the video that the top two holes were slotted vertically and the front bottom hole was slotted horizontally.
What I did is I take the shim that came with the kit and centered it to the axle where the bearing slides in to mark the new holes. Also make sure to keep it at the same angle as the holes on the shim. I hope this helped.
I have the same year & been tryna figure this out for the longest 🤦🏾♂️
It definitely took some time trying to find the right parts. I hope this video helped. feel free to ask any questions about parts.
@@mcintiregarage7359 what are the part numbers for the axels. I assume this is for a 8inch rear?
@@rodwardhewlin2526 yes they are for a 8inch. I got them from amazon here are the part numbers.

Call quick performance they can answer any questions you have and they have all the parts but honestly you can do it way cheaper by getting the axles out of the junkyard I can't remember what year but I know Ford ranger and Ford Astro van axles will work for the five lug conversion in the rear and Monte Carlo rotors in the front again can't remember what year but I'm sure you can Google it and figure it out.
Can you tell me which studs you used?
Are you supposed to change the proportioning valve to do this swap?
