Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. I have almost 300,000 miles on my 2011 Kia Soul. Bought it new in 2010 . All highway miles. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT brother
Thanks for this video. Just ordered a motor for my Soul after is was "normal" for it to burn 1 qt of oil every 1000 miles and it blew with 88k miles. This video was very helpful!
I'm having to engine swap mine on my 2015. Unfortunately it's a rebuilt title and the KNOWN issue of the number 2 lifter locking the engine up somehow isn't considered a recall, so now I've got a new engine to put in. Thank you for this informative video!
Fortunately it's not too bad a job. However I definitely think there should be a recall for them burning oil and causing so many issues. Thanks for watching and good luck with your swap.

Hey if you happen to remember, any tips for getting it lined up when going back in. Came out easy but not so much with trying to mate to transmission and engine mount
Well to be honest I don't remember however I have some suggestions. If it's an automatic make sure the torque converter it all the way in. You should be able to spin and press firmly until it lines up and slides in. I would also get the engine to the point I could get one of the transmission bolts started but very loose. Then use the bolt as a pivot point until I could get second one started. Then so on and so on. I hope this helps in some way. Please let me know if I can help. Please let me know if you get it in. Good luck 🤞🏼
@@ForsakenSteelGot her in there today finally! Getting the first dowel pin and bolt lined up and using them as a pivot point worked great. Thanks man!
My mom's kia uses so much oil. Any tips to fix or does kia not make a good engine. I personally have a honda civic. Always thought that kia was kinda cheap
I had about 3 days in this but if you had a better work environment you could do it in one long day. I'm not sure if the engines are the same but I can't imagine it's any different. Hope that helps.
This was a repo so it probably lived a hard life. However if I wanted to make a career out of Kia engine swaps I don't think I would have to look hard to find more work.

These cars are so much fun too bad the engines have so many issues. Thanks for watching.

like your choice of music, enjoyed the video
I appreciate it and thank you for watching.
Glad that quieted up, kind of noisy when you first started it 😱 what a relief it ran good, now you can get to some fun stuff
I'm not going to lie. I was a little nervous at first.
You did good work on this video!
Thanks 😎
Nice work. In really nice shape for a 7 year old car. Another one that can say bye-bye. On to the Camaro now. Be safe and stay well.
It really is in great shape. Happy it over though.
be interesting to see the condition of the oil
I dropped it but someone had already changed it. Probably trying to "undo" the damage.
Brittany loves these cars
I'm not surprised. She loved the Fiat as well.
Great video, did you have to remove the roll rod bracket/mount that is underneath the engine/trans or just the top engine mount. Thanks!
It's been a couple years but if my memory serves me right I didn't remove it. Make sure you sull the hood though. 😂

@ericg7237 I'm so happy it worked out for you. I appreciate you giving me an update.
I have a 2016 Kia Soul with a blown engine. Can this motor be pulled from overhead with a cherry picker? I don’t have a lift.
I do believe so. However the hood really needs to be taken off. I didn't and regretted it.

They just burn a lot of oil. As long as you keep oil in them they are ok but definitely not good. They are adorable at time of purchase though.
Replace the pcv valve.
If you're gonna pull an engine, take the damn hood off. I don't care what the car is. It's always easier. Well done though!
I'm just lazy. 😂 Thanks for watching.
I got a question did you do all of this in one day? And I have a 2016 stick shift. Can I put an automatic engine same here without any problems?

These Hyundai/ Kia engines go in and out easy, good thing because they aren't very reliable.
You are very correct 💯
gdi explains it all pmsl
That are junk for sure. Thanks for watching.
Sell sell sell!!! 4995$$$
