Well to be fair, the track record for Warhammer Games pre-Dawn of War 1 was pretty awful, and the license was sitting in hell for some time when THQ went down. It's not suprising, given the amounts of shovelware the franchise has produced that GW is pretty wary who they will give the license to. Which is really confusing because Storm of Vengeance got made. Oh well. At least Inquisitor: Martyr was and still is decent.
I always wondered if Paradox would want to try their hand at this, but considering they already made stellaris (a game I find just meh) I don't know if they'd be willing to make a game this deep.

I took a look at the game source code with a friend years ago. We are still traumatised. (repeat(4)) You need to be a full masochist to work on this. It'll be easier to make your own game and at least you will be able to make some money.
See, it's this level of customization that makes me love 40k so much. There are practically endless, and I mean _endless_ , possibilities for someone to do whatever they want, how ever they want. Hell, I'd say this level of customization is the best I've ever seen, even more so than most games with custom characters and RPGs like Halo and Fallout.
I'd actually live some kind of an RPG where you start as a pre-teen tribal men/ hive ganger criminal and you become a neophyte, and maybe over time you become a chapter master of some obscure (successor) chapter, or lead a warband or renegade company.
Ah yes, the same game where an entire planet was made of Imperial Guardsmen, including Guardsmen, particles and sub-particles that that made up said Guardsmen and the planet mentioned was not orbiting the sun - it was marching around it on patrol. Truly glorious.
you know, Focus Home Interactive seems to be interested in making more unconventional 40k games, maybe this video will be the push they need to make it happen.

Sleepless Gamer our only crime was allying with some sketchy marines once and then the lamenters spent the rest of their days being cool dudes. These days it seems like Games Workshop is writing the Salamanders into the beloved by the imperial citizens status that lamenters has before.

I was playing this game I chose to be the Lamenters Cause I like them. So there I was eradicating orcs and then the Inquisitors show up and then declared war on me then everyone else followed suit, then the game crashed. I felt truly immersed.
The Programmer for this game is called TheDuke, and was more or less threatened off of the project back in 2015 by GW who weren't happy with him for running a patreon based on it. The game looks very familiar to one in Steam called "Princess and conquest". You know if they are behind that game (so the name is no more "towergirls" and now is Princess and conquest") because they are VERY alike

6:40: I've heard of games where you can _lose_ early on without knowing it, but this is the first time I've heard someone _win_ a game without knowing it.
They should put a mechanic that makes the Blood Raven chapter be randomly "gifted" relics from other chapters and the Inquisition for absolutely no reason and another one that makes you lose your relics for absolutely no reason if you play a chapter other than the Blood Ravens.
Mandalore, thanks for reminding me of that heartache of a game. I still miss it and I wish something will come to replace the ChapterMaster-sized hole in my heart.

The Programmer for this game is called TheDuke, and was more or less threatened off of the project back in 2015 by GW who weren't happy with him for running a patreon based on it.

The game looks very familiar to one in Steam called "Princess and conquest". You know if they are behind that game (so the name is no more "towergirls" and now is Princess and conquest") because they are VERY alike

They should put a mechanic that makes the Blood Raven chapter be randomly "gifted" relics from other chapters and the Inquisition for absolutely no reason and another one that makes you lose your relics for absolutely no reason if you play a chapter other than the Blood Ravens.

Imagine if this game was completed, by in addition to being a Space Marine Chapter Master, you could be an Imperial Guard Warmaster, an Ork Waaagh Boss, a Necron King, a Tyranid Hive Mind or type of war leader for the factions in 40K.
necrons are overpowered in the game, though. And orks are nearly unstoppable if you don't kill their warboss and fleets as soon as possible.

@@RedGreekWolf well,that would be a different game if you change it's balance. Making them less of a threat undermines them, making them trivial which would be not so great for Warhammer 40k game.
@@dimas3829 how about making it so that they only start in small groups and only get bigger if you neglect them or if you get too overpowered?
@@dimas3829 each faction would have their onw advantages and disadvantages, as well as their own unique events, or if your factions interferes too much in an area close or in another factions territory, they may focus their forces on you more than they would other threats

They are some of the harder models to paint, so they are the worst to make one could choose.
