"Infinite Crisis" is a 2005-2006 comic book storyline published by DC Comics, consisting of an eponymous, seven-issue comic book limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Phil Jimenez, George Pérez, Ivan Reis, and Jerry Ordway, and a number of tie-in books. The main miniseries debuted in October 2005, and each issue was released with two variant covers: one by Pérez, and one by Jim Lee and Sandra Hope.

For everybody that doesn't know what happens, all I am going to say is Superboy prime is so powerful that Mr myxlplyx is so afraid of him that he goes back to the fifth dimension in tears and says he will never ever return. I dont know if Rob will cover that part, but it gives you an idea of what's about to happen

I remember reading this comic years ago and just seen with Superboy prime versus everybody was EPIC Rob! It's almost like World Breaker Hulk versus the Marvel universe. It was insane!

Ya as much as people like him. He’s always been disposable in the eyes of DC. Originally Shazam isn’t even DC creation it’s from a rival comic company from the 70s I believe that DC sued (because he sold a ton of comics because of Superman likeness) and they gained the rights to because of them going bankrupt. He’s fodder and the only reason they don’t scrap his character altogether is because he’s a fan favorite.
DC has been getting crapped on for years, but I really think that they have been blowing the doors off marvel for a long time.
Definitely in the comics. Live Action movies no.

thomas turan Because the characters weren't themselves. Superman is not Batman. Yes he's had his dark moments but they didn't change him or Wonder Woman and many others, even Batman. When it changed them, it was for the worst and what happen? Well , look at Marvel right now. So much infighting between Super hero's that its sick to look at.
The whole idea of the critique of Infinite Crisis is that darker stories do work, but not for everyone.

Dont care what people say about Superboy Prime i love this character. Sure his childish thinking was odd, but who cares. As Superman fan i love to see silver age powerfull superboy in modern comic age wrecking everybody. Hope he comes back from source wall. Its said only high level of intellect beeings can escape the wall. Maybe he can learn from his mistakes and come back=? :D
I mean it may not be the best becoming a super villain or just chaotic good bad guy. He witnessed his home explode right in front of him and the Heros he lived changed became darker
He did came back.... and since he was inside the source wall he did not get de-powered even when everyone else did.
i read every piece of his prepubescent tantrum dialogue in the voice of Millhouse from the Simpsons. Thats literally how immature his character seemed to me. it was genuinely embarrassing how he was written

Actually Rob, the Secret Six were the only villains who didn't join the Secret Society. The Secret Society didn't take kindly to that, so it was 6 D-list Villains vs all the others. They were actually threatened with the death of their loved ones to not join by a mysterious man named Mockingbird. Turns out Mockingbird was Lex Luthor, which didn't make sense because he was the one who was running the Secret Society. But actually the Society Luthor was Alexander Luthor.
So I read Sinestro Corps War because of your video and it’s by far my favorite comic book that I have read. I already loved Geoff Johns’ work in general and adored his run with GL, but in your own words in your video: “if God was writing Comic Books, this is what it’d look like”

No he didn't. Injustice is not canon. The Superman you see in this story isn't the good Superman who appeared in Injustice

Please! You can't leave out the integral Grayson moments! This story was supposed to be a lead up to his death you know! All that talk how Dick was just about the only good thing about their earth. Dick never gets the credit he deserves in big stories man!
Rob can you please make a video summarizing all watchmen references an all the little events that some of us miss going into The Button story line or soon into the Dr Manhattan crisis?
Even if its different or not the most popular it would definitely do alot of good for some of us who know most but maybe not all.

You need to look at Teen Titans Rebirth Vol 1. The ending battle between Wally West and Abracadabra. There's a hint about Dr. Manhattan.
You should look Action Comics Rebirth Vol One. The Battle between Doomsday and Superman/Wonder Woman. Doomsday gets transported away like Robin.
You need to check out Action Comics and Superman Rebirth Vol 2. The Mystery of the 2nd Clark Kent that story futhers the mystery of Dr. Manhattan.

Brandon Jennings Astrodactyl was shown to have a degree of enhanced strength, as he was able to rip off goo that was difficult for Ben and Rook to get off. And he also shows his strength by carrying Albedo in his Negative Brainstorm form without the aid of his rockets, as well as pull one of the Techadon Robots tied up to his energy whips.

Can you talk about his reality warping punches while in the Paradise dimension and also what happened when he got pulled into the speed force and how he was able to escape. Were they really all in the speed force or did they end up in a different universe for a few years?

I don’t know why they don’t make a Superboy prime movie. In my opinion he’s the most awesome and interesting superhero ever. I been a Superman fan since I was a kid and Superboy prime is like the icing on the cake. Great video Rob you do amazing work!

Superboy Prime was great then. He was Superman with his Silver Age levels of power. Superman is already a god as it is, but in that moment, Superboy Prime could have sneezed and moved the earth out of orbit.

But...if Earth 1 Kryptonite wont work on Earth 2 Suoerman, how come Earth 1 Sunlight can work on Earth 2 Superman? Seems a little inconsistent to me.
Superboy prime originally comes from a universe with no kryptonite, so that part makes sense, but I think sunlight and kryptonite are 2 very different things with such different properties they can't really be compared like that.
Maybe kryptonite from various alternate universes are different ions, have different molecular structures or behave differently radioactively could explain why Earth-1's kryptonite wouldn't work on Earth-2 Superman. However, it's been shown that all of the main DC universes follow the same fundamental laws of physics, so one could conclude that as a result of this that UV radiation from a "red sun" in one universe (say Earth-3) is the same as the UV radiation from another "red sun" (say Earth-52).

Why? BAD WRITING. Explanation: Everyone thought those things, and all the explanations I'm seeing in these comments amount to "Because that's just how it is" or "They're just different", all pure conjecture. DC fans just jump on board and say "Well..it makes sense if you think about it THIIIIS WAAAY...", having the audience try to figure out how it possibly makes sense instead of writing a decent story or explanation. That was neither artistic, nor clever. Why do his powers function at all, or affect others, or what you just said were my very first thoughts when they brought that up, they were everyone's. They even use the narrative itself to try to reconcile their own previous bad writing decisions: they parody their own mistake in an attempt to salvage it as a badly written pseudo-coherent and sortuv entertaining plot. Like how they "changed" the story of power girl, trying to pass it off as story breaking cleverness instead of just admitting to fault and rewriting her elsewhere. That could've been clever had it been planned out previously, but it obviously wasn't. Not knocking all of DC but this in particular was bad.
In the audiobook of Infinite Crisis Superman basically says that kryptonites might vary from universe to universe but light and darkness are the same, indicating that yellow (and red) sunlight is the same from universe to universe.
