@@ase06090 I had one of the newer craftsman and it barely fit in there. I do recall that space being really tight. Removing the tire made it easier to install the new belt back on.
@@Daddicated I went to Autozone and found out they had a serpentine belt loaner tool. Fits perfectly and your tutorial just helped me put a new belt on within 20 minutes 🤙
I take my front passenger wheel off, and encounter no visibility! I have weather panels I guess they're called, and 3 of those plastic fasteners to get out, 2 of which were a real pill. Spent more time getting those out than I did changing the belt, hahaha. Thank you for this video though, my friend. My aged belt was so worn it popped off due to v-groove wear on my way home from work this morning. Talk about a mild freak out. No power steering, no alternator charging, temp gauge went all the way hot... Oh my! Your video gave me the confidence to replace the belt, for that sir, again I thank you.
Is there a specific amount of torque to tighten the tensioner, My father and I accidentally loosened it by going counter-clockwise the wrong way. We re-tightened it snug-wise with a ratchet and got a new timing belt on, but not sure if it’s properly tightened?
I’m sure there is a torque setting for it if you look it up online or in some manual but I don’t know what it is. I just tightened mine as hard as I could with a wrench and that’s it.
Daddicated honestly I had just forgot to and figured I’d try instead of having to grab the jack from the back . Glad it worked out haha . Thanks for the video .

What size ratchet did you use? My 3/8 ratchet doesnt fit.

@@ase06090 Sweet. Glad to hear you figured it out.
Thank you, the diagram is exactly what I needed. Took me 30 minutes to replace the power steering pump, an hour to put the belt back into place
I’m glad I was able to help.
Thank you! I’m changing my alternator and should probably also replace the belt. This helps a lot, having the exact diagram and physical walkthrough
Your very welcome. I’m glad I was able to help.
Thanks you saved me a couple hundred dollars. It took about 30 minutes to complete it..
Awesome. Glad to hear that.

Do I need to replace the tensioner? It's listed, but not covered in the video.
No sure I didn’t have to and it was fine.
Thanks I’m gonna do this when I change my power steering pump .
Awesome. Yeah it's pretty straight forward.
Did not know need to remove tire for easy access. Thanks!
No problem glad I was able to help.
Thanks for this video helped a lot . Was able to do it without taking off the wheel but the diagram was super helpful .
Nice. The wheel removal just makes the threading a bit easier. But yeah if it works why do the extra step.

Can show where the mark in the tensioner sit after everything reinstall and started the engine for proper tension.
I can’t cuz I no longer have this car anymore unfortunately. It was a fun car to have definitely miss it especially being manual.
@@Daddicated damn that sucks i'm having issues with the arrow being the middle of both squares and fluctuating when car is idling.
@@Alvaresmaico20 Is it actually causing any really issues to the car?
Best video. Thank you !
Glad u enjoyed it. Thank you means a lot.
So I replaced my belt about a month ago. The other day the belt almost came of the pully. Any suggestions? What that might be a bad pully?
Not sure. But check your tensioner maybe it’s loose or broken.
Thank
Anytime.
