      What size ratchet did you use? My 3/8 ratchet doesnt fit.

      @@ase06090 I had one of the newer craftsman and it barely fit in there. I do recall that space being really tight. Removing the tire made it easier to install the new belt back on.

    Thank you, the diagram is exactly what I needed. Took me 30 minutes to replace the power steering pump, an hour to put the belt back into place

    I take my front passenger wheel off, and encounter no visibility! I have weather panels I guess they're called, and 3 of those plastic fasteners to get out, 2 of which were a real pill. Spent more time getting those out than I did changing the belt, hahaha. Thank you for this video though, my friend. My aged belt was so worn it popped off due to v-groove wear on my way home from work this morning. Talk about a mild freak out. No power steering, no alternator charging, temp gauge went all the way hot... Oh my! Your video gave me the confidence to replace the belt, for that sir, again I thank you.

    Is there a specific amount of torque to tighten the tensioner, My father and I accidentally loosened it by going counter-clockwise the wrong way.
    We re-tightened it snug-wise with a ratchet and got a new timing belt on, but not sure if it’s properly tightened?

    • @Daddicated
      @Daddicated  Год назад

      I’m sure there is a torque setting for it if you look it up online or in some manual but I don’t know what it is. I just tightened mine as hard as I could with a wrench and that’s it.

      Nice. The wheel removal just makes the threading a bit easier. But yeah if it works why do the extra step.

      Not sure. But check your tensioner maybe it’s loose or broken.
