I have just completed this pattern, modified to an adult throw measuring 60” x 60” square before border. I chose a worsted weight yarn and 5.0 mm hook. I wish I had chosen a 6.0 mm hook for a more airy presence. There is no stitch repeat count provided for the border, I’m sure I could calculate it if I really cared but I just carried on with how my stitch and rows came out. Needed to modify as I encountered corners and it’s not perfect but you will never see it on such a large piece. I originally intended to make this twin size but the pattern is too tedious to have gone any further…thought I was going to die it was so boring. Will only do this pattern in knit versions going forward….used just about 6 pounds of yarn ~6000 yards.

The blanket and the border are both beautiful . I have a question. If I want to make the blanket wider and longer, how does this affect the counts for the border? I'm assuming for the wave sides I would add 19 stitches to the count for every wave added for the width, how many for the length? Thank you!
Excellent question, I am doing EXACTLY that RIGHT NOW, Honestly though, I had to create my own pattern to even out the top and bottom rows cuz for some reason, it was seriously lopsided on her direction.

I made mine larger by adding multiples of 19 for the width and extra rows for length. The border follows her instructions with extra repeats . I didn’t have any issues so far and I’m on the last round.

I just finished this blanket and am very happy with it; absolutely beautiful! Is there a pattern for a baby hat to match blanket pattern #1204? (This is the 4th blanket pattern of yours I’ve made, as well as matching hats and cardigans; and love them all.) Again, I would love to have a pattern for a matching hat.

@LisaBZ the stitch count is 19, so just keep doing multiples of 19 until you get to the width you want. Hope this helps

@@lavenderrainbow5041 hi there. I can't remember what pattern it is, but the borders are not included jn the count of 19 chains. When the required amount of rows are done then you start on the border. Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need anymore help
