Angie!! I am making my very first blanket and I cannot believe how fantastic it is turning out! I have an HTVront 10 x 10 press and I am doing it at 370° for 60 seconds with medium pressure. I found that if I pull the tape off while making sure it is attached to the paper and not inadvertently, tearing the paper off and leaving only tape on the blanket, it’s way easier to get the tape off. Thanks for your tutorials!! Also, I took your advice by not just using the easy press mat by itself. I put a piece of cardboard with parchment paper on it directly under the blanket, and then the easy press mat under that.
This was perfect timing and so helpful as always. I just got a blanket for a gift for a memory blanket for my friend who just lost her mom and feel now super confident to tackle this project
Hi Angie - thanks for your videos - you’re my go-to-first for learning a new skill! Heat Press Nation has a product called AlbaChem Eco-Mist Adhesive for holding paper onto a sublimation substrate thereby elimating the tape marks. I have seen other sites also using it to hold the paper onto tumblers before shrinkwrapping to sublimate. It’s kind of pricey and am wondering if you have tried this or something similar and have an upcoming video. Again, love your informative videos and know I can trust your opinions.
The blanket looks great Angie a very lovely gift to give to someone!!!! Great video thank you for teaching us and for all the help and great tips and info you give to us all!! Hugs Liz xx
this is so cool! Love that it is already there for you! I have watched your icc profile video but my gray is turning purple! all the other colors are perfect but I have no idea why it is doing that. I am using hipoo ink and used the icc from that.
My guess would be you will have to experiment with out ICC profiles until you get the look that you desire. It is a common issue with EcoTank printers overall.
Love your videos and have learned so much, thank you. I do not own an autopress, would love one, but out of my price range. Would the easy press work as well? Thank you.
Similar question! I bought a bunch of sublimation supplies and was just playing around trying an iron but, I don't think it's the right tool 😅 looking for a well priced option to really get started with everything
I finally made my first photo blanket and I put it off for weeks. Lol I must’ve watched every video out there. I could possibly find I was so nervous. So finally, after watching your video, I did it.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 😉 but I think I have one little issue. I lessened my pressure because where I had the tape it pushed down around it so around the pictures wherever I had the tape holding it down the material is bumped up if that makes any sense it’s raised. Is there a way to get that out?
@@AngieHolden I thought it might come out once she washed it. I might have to reach out to her and let her know if it doesn’t come out once she washes it that I’ll pick it back up and do what you suggested.
Hi Angie. where did you purchase our paper cutter. I can't seem to find one that snaps like yours does. I love your videos and I have learned so much from you. Thank you
Quick question (hopefully I don’t put my foot in my mouth when you answer this later in the video 😅): If you change your image to the dimensions of the spots on the blanket before printing, AND add your own black border just a tiny bit bigger to overlap, would that work? Or would there still be a faint border in the black area?
Do y'all have an issue with the picture being a tad too big and being visible in the black part? I just did my first pillow, thinking that the black on the fabric would hide the small amount of excess print that didn't fit in the box but you can see it in the black part too 😩 Any help is appreciated....

I have! I finally found a spray I really like but I didn't use it on this blanket. HA!
Thank you so much for the tape tip. The tape marks drove me crazy and I wasn’t sure why it was happening
Glad I could help!

I like that blanket
I think it looks really great! Thank you for your video. These really help!
Hi, thanks for all your GREAT videos. I hope I did not miss this, but how does it look on the back. thanks again!! Mike
It was fine on the back!
Thanks for sharing all your video's I enjoy watching xx

Sure! EasyPress would work for this or another heat press! I just used my AutoPress because it was a big easier to squeeze all of the blanket inside.
@@AngieHolden thanks for the reply!!

Yea I had tape issues as well. I got most of it out with an easypress mini and going over those areas.

I actually tried to find it and couldn't! It is many years old but I love it so much!
Thanks
My sister got me one of these blankets for christmas
I made this one for a Christmas gift but couldn't post until now! HA!
Thank you, awesome video!!
Excellent. Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching!

You would see black in the black border.
Thanks❤❤🎉🎉😊😊😊
Do you think it would help to wash the blanket first?
Hmmm...I don't think so but it might get some of that black out?
@@AngieHolden 👍
Do you mirror your pictures before printing as in other sublimation?
Yes you do.
Nice video
What kind of cutter are you using?
It is a rotary paper trimmer. This brand has been discontinued.
What if the blanket is white on the back will the sublimation go through to the back?
If it is sold as a sublimation blank, it shouldn't.
They lovely igot one has presant
Couldn't you have used spray instead of tape
You can. I don’t like it on things like this as I tend to get a residue.
Do y'all have an issue with the picture being a tad too big and being visible in the black part?
I just did my first pillow, thinking that the black on the fabric would hide the small amount of excess print that didn't fit in the box but you can see it in the black part too 😩

Yep you can definitely see it either way. I just made mine REALLY close to the square size and took a ton of time lining it up and taping it down.
@Angie Holden thank you for your honesty. I guess I'm gonna try it out again.
How would we get in touch wit u
How nice! Great video!
Thank you very much!
