I haven't bought comics in a long time, but I think there was a story where Hawkeye took down the Avengers all by himself using arrows that were particularly useful against them cause he knew their powers. It's not about the powers, but more about your ability to out think and maneuver your opponents. That's something Clint Barton is more than capable of doing.
True. However, other than Black Widow he's the only human without a power. Cap's super solider serum, Tony's armor and Banner's Hulk are powers. Thor's a freaking god. Being mere mortals they can blend in and infiltrate operations in a way that the others simply couldn’t. Often their enemies see them as being weaker and let their guard down more. they use this tool to their advantage frequently. There are a lot of egos in the team and as mortals they help to keep them grounded and hold the team together. They are also there as an example to the audience, to show that with hard work and determination it is possible to achieve incredible things and compete with others who are blessed with extraordinary gifts that you don’t have.
I’m not a Hawkeye fan myself, but I think it’s because people are confusing “powers and abilities” with actual skill and feats. Hawkeye is just some guy with a bow and some cool arrow gadgets, which sounds lame compared to the others, but his martial arts are above that if even black widow, black panther, captain America, etc. Also, of course, he never misses with the bow and arrow, which can be extremely clutch. So people are just calling him weak because his abilities seem lame, but his ability to use them makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Nobody realized that Hawkeye is stronger than black widow. They are both trained assassins except black widow was only trained with guns and close combat while Hawkeye was trained with both of those AND archery. Also Kate bishop has the same skills as Hawkeye except that she doesn’t have the materials (even though her family is rich) because her mom was arrested. But the only real difference is years in training. But I’d have to say Hawkeye is smart with the way he handled that mafia in 2 minutes during endgame. 😂

Hawkeye and black widow serve a really important strategic role for the avengers, a lot of the time they do the hard work in the background that allows the mission to succeed. Being mere mortals they can blend in and infiltrate operations in a way that the others simply couldn’t. Often their enemies see them as being weaker and let their guard down more. they use this tool to their advantage frequently. There are a lot of egos in the team and as mortals they help to keep them grounded and hold the team together.
They are also there as an example to the audience, to show that with hard work and determination it is possible to achieve incredible things and compete with others who are blessed with extraordinary gifts that you don’t have.
I’m not a Hawkeye fan myself, but I think it’s because people are confusing “powers and abilities” with actual skill and feats. Hawkeye is just some guy with a bow and some cool arrow gadgets, which sounds lame compared to the others, but his martial arts are above that if even black widow, black panther, captain America, etc. Also, of course, he never misses with the bow and arrow, which can be extremely clutch.
So people are just calling him weak because his abilities seem lame, but his ability to use them makes him a force to be reckoned with.
It also should be noted that Clint killed Banner twice, Rogers once, and Parker once in the comics.

He may not be able to win against BP but without the Panther Herb's powers, Both will be equally matched. BP may win due to his enhanced strength but both are def almost equal in Battle IQ, maybe BP a bit more due to being a Warrior King.
