Original one is so good to be watched first but not to spoil and gave this one chance would be a great idea as it look promising. So, I'll suggest to watch this one first and then the original one for better comparison.
What,how can you miss an epic performance by actor suriya Obviously you can avoid but why if original is available and even sudha knows that she also can't match that level again

Sorarai pottru has a lasting impression on you, I still fondly remember its sequences which really quite touched a chord in my heart, it'll be a tough job to generate an audience for a remake of a piece of work that just hits home

Everything was good, AK just have to pull that Airport scene, and if you ask me he will gonna give his best, will give outstanding performance, but can't cross that level what surya did in SP. Coz SP is og one so that may can give it advantage, but for sure, AK gonna pull this role.
I'll genuinely say AK is good in this game and comedy movies. Like his Baby, Airlift , rustom these movies are absolutely good. He should work on this type of movies

The original is far better than this remake trailer. And because of suriya's acting you will constantly compare Akshay Kumar with him. And the movie is a story based movie so you might get bored if you watch the original first.

The new Sarfira trailer is awesome.
The og movie was very good, probably the best movie of the year, some were saying to send the movie as official entry to oscar.
But the og director and actor suriya are only making this remake version, So I think this one will be good as well, I've seen sorrarai potru in dub version, so I can't feel the same connect as the ppl watched in Tamil, so I'm excited to see this version and I'm pretty sure this one will hit hard just like the og one.

I think original one is more relatable to the true story and all the characters have importance in the movie. In the original movie Suriya sir is lead actor & Paresh Rawal sir has the same role in original movie. Original movie has more detailed scenes & more content as compared to this movie I think because as a Bollywood movie it definitely will have some songs which cut down the content of film though original one also has songs but they were the part of the movie not the additional songs for entertainment. The director is same in both movie so there would be no such difference overall, this one would be a Bollywood style movie. I think you should give it a shot & watch the original movie "Udaan (Soorarai Pottru)".
