You play enough games you'll beat anyone. I always laugh when a 10-year old kid or 8-year old has a good game and Magnus makes an occasional blunder -- and then everyone is proclaiming this kid as the next Magnus. Yeah, whatever. Win as much as Magnus does -- then you'll be as good as Magnus. Not with just 1 game. Most of these young kids will go on to become GMs sure -- but then they will be forgotten. History has already shown that. Someone like Magnus doesn't come along very often.

Some pros/cons feedback: As a bullet player myself, I more than welcome bullet games analysis (it's interesting as well to see the moves people play when they don't have 30 minutes to spend on a move the find the perfect 20 movers combinations), but yeah when it ends on a 1 move blunder it's a bit of a disappointing ending.

I am seeing a common theme to these Magnus Carlsen shocking losses. Magnus plays solid, even winning, chess for most of the match, then straight up blunders a move, and the game. Another thing people forget is that Magnus is playing an insane number of games, in all kinds of formats. What world champion, in any other discipline, would do such a thing??

A win's a win. Over the GOAT especially. You think anyone's questioning the legitimacy of Matt Serra's win over GSP? People thought Chris Weidman's win over Anderson Silva was a fluke until he broke his leg in half in the very next fight. They all put themselves in that position and won.
I'd be very curious to see an interesting stats video. How many different people top players (like Magnus) lost to or beat in their career, most wins/ loses, who they lost to the most or beat the most, lowest rating to beat the highest, longest unbeaten/losing streaks, youngest to beat the oldest and vice versa, one I just thought of then lost as well as any other noteworthy or interesting stats. I find stuff like that fascinating. Thanks for covering this one Levy.

I love how Levy did a great job covering this game when 99.99% of his viewers don’t even fathom what he’s showing them. They’re too busy trying to meme the video and be silly. If you guys spent half the effort at your own game as you do with the other bs I might see you up here at 2100 some day…. 👊💪
