    Hello Auto Bahn Dan
Thank you for another Great Video. You guys are amazing. I would have never thought of that. I had no idea that Snap on and Milwaukee had Roto head ratchets. I pulled the trigger on a 1/4", 3/8"and 1/2" drives Roto head ratchets from Harbor Freight. I was watching another video as soon as I saw it in action, I thought that's a game changer. I am still pretty new to watching the on goings on RUclips. Again thank you

Yes! Definitely a good one to have. The range of motion is far superior than a flex head and they can also be used as a ratcheting driver. Also, The handle position is more direct and can twist/strip a fastener less!

Yeah, I’m on the fence about getting the 3/8” version. I have an old USA craftsman speed handle that I use and I don’t want to replace it 😅

Just a FYI the reason they have the different type of 1/4 heads. The one that have the screws going all the way through are for “high torque” applications thats why the come on the long flex 1/4 handle ratchets. Emphasis on high torque because screw it its snap on. It can handle it. Either way I did the same.
Another way to get the locking mid size ratchet for even cheaper is the txm72, which is a bit ratchet.
    Regardless great vid.

I keep thinking about doing this but it’s hard to justify when I have a compact head 90 tooth Gearwrench Ratchet that is actually pretty tough. Especially with a regular handle length compared with abbreviated handle section found on most 1/4” drive ratchets

I have that Gearwrench set which is pretty nice. I just recently picked up a few of the new Tekton as well! The Tekton have some pretty good options!

@@AutobahnDan yeah they do and I have full socket sets from Tekton though usually I find myself going for Gearwrench’s ratchets. I’m strangely considering the purchase of a Snap On long handle 3/8 quick release ratchet just because I miss my old Craftsman 44833 but I DON’T miss it being 36 teeth lol

@@AutobahnDan strangely, I prefer the bare metal handles. There isn’t much I want from them but one day at work, I’d grabbed a socket 3/4” shallow socket from our tool room, thinking it was an impact. Later after testing the viability of a tool set up for one of our pressure test guys, I got to looking closer. It was the nicest black oxide finish I’ve seen. Then, I realized the wall thickness was awfully thin then looked closer “non impact”. Well damn. That’s a damn nice socket. Lol

    It’s a “Speeder Handle” Ratchet .
And Not everything ordered from Snap-on Online comes in a week or Less . It has to be “IN STOCK” for it to come that quick . I had to wait almost 3 Months to get a 3/8” drive universal joint .

    • @AutobahnDan

Yes, it’s hit or miss these days.. some of the stuff doesn’t even look like it’s QC. I have an old video on Rusty stuff, bent extensions, thin chrome.. The list goes on and on.. The old stuff is definitely a lot better.. times have changed..

@@AutobahnDan Thats not good.. Prices are still high. In our company we use Stahlwille. Never had any issues. But the tools are already 15 years old. The new Stahlwille socket wrench set seems to be solid too. I hope snap-on will fix this!

You can convert the top screw models to. You just have to have the faceplate machined down and works like a charm. Great video 🔥🔥🔥 👍💪 I like how you go into depth with all the ratchets and explain the differences and show that this is possible without paying your snapon guy the extra money to do it. I like how it’s only 20 dollars to do it yourself and you end up with a custom set up to your Preferences.
