I remember what my grandpa and dad used to tell me about escaping the jungles of Laos. I can’t imagine what they had to do just to have freedom. That’s why they’re here now in the US so that their children and their children’s children could have a better life.

I really didn't learn about my people's history till back in the late 90s as a young adult while attending continuity college. Wrote a thesis about the Hmong for my writing class. Since then, I still love to learn and to hear about the stories of my elders and my peoples. One love! 🤟

Funny how someone not hmong speaks hmong better then most hmongs in the states. It's sad to see that someone not hmong is speaking up for the hmong people when all hmong do is fight each other. Fact there’s three different tipes of Hmong also my dad’s uncle is the general in the Hmong army in Vietnam.
